Its like nursing, women are naturally born to be nurturing. But you don't see people saying its awful that the career is female dominated. The average man and women are different, companies in the aviation community are now forced to hire a certain amount of women when its just a fact there will always be more men in this specific field. If racism and sexism didn't matter at all, they wouldn't be asking how many females or black people join the career, they would be asking how many people.

Women tend to enter health care, law and other fields that is more interesting to them. Men dont complain why most nurses are female for example. Just do what you like.

And with electrical work experience and the right motivation to learn and grow you will have a good change of getting accepted. Tip aswell is to apply for maybe an apprenticeship in the company or a try phase
