My moment was when my father died. (He had Alzheimer’s, died in dec/15). After some months some company (I think the cellphone company) was calling to tell “your account is due” so I tell the girl “look, my father died couple months ago” and she promptly asked “so, can you tell me his address?” “What part of dead didn’t tou get?” “Sir, I need his new address” “ok..” and proceed to give her the cemetery address… never call again.

I'm high-functioning autistic. Loud noises cause my anxiety to spike. My brother likes to *scream* at his XBox. My parents used to do nothing about it. Thankfully, due to unrelated issues, all of his electronics have been sold and he's now living with my grandpa (who doesn't have any wifi).

I get the pain with loud noises. I’m suspected to have autism as well (in the middle of getting treatment) most of my folks are on the spectrum.
It causes me stress and pain when I hear loud noises. So much so I wear noise cancelling headphones or ear defenders. It’s too much. I’m sensitive to certain sounds, people talking, certain patterns of music, etc
I hope things are getting better for you, sounded like you had it really rough ❤

Told my teacher that I’d be fasting and I wouldn’t have the tolerance to ignore my bullies. Asked him to tell the substitute (who was going to be teaching for the next two days) if he could let me work away from the bullies. Said no, I get bullied, I run out of the class crying (substitute did fuck all about it and let it happen) and the teacher had the nerve to blame ME for running out of the classroom and said that fasting was not an excuse (my counselor who had fasted before said that was bs and agreed with me)

I feel for the kid who had the popular kids claim they thought they'd shoot up the school. I had a couple of kids say that to me in the 8th grade. I was quiet because of severe social anxiety, still am, so clearly I must be a potential school shooter. Funny part is I hate guns and always have. I was the last person that'd ever want to do something like that.

I suffered severe depression a few years ago. Around the time I was getting a hold of my life, my uncle came to help me clean. My kitchen counter was soaked and discolored because I would splash and not care enough or have the energy to clean it. The wall behind the sink had a dark patch because there was no tile, just drywall. It wasn't different enough to see it in person, but a camera photo made it clearer. My uncle showed me this and insisted I tell him what caused the scorch mark. He refused to accept it was probably subsurface mold or water damage.

Man, I got so many of them, but I'll start with this one. I work as a CSR. There was one time that I was talking to a customer and she was as mad as a wet hen because she wanted me to do something that not only did I not have the authority to do, but I also did not have the program to do it. When I told her this, she yelled at me "You can do it - you just don't wanna! I know you can do it!!" When I told her I did not, she then shouted at me "I am going to crawl through this phone line and unalive you!" Apparently, she thought she could travel through phone lines.

The "on time" thing is something I've learned to be kind of lax on while doing private security. We get "schedules" from vendors for a period of time to a whole block of time. Stating they will be on our site to do their work that I've just adopted a lax sort of approach. I get certain vendors have strange schedules to do their work, long as I (and the team) are aware I just accommodate the work. Stuff crops up, hinderances happen, life is just weird. Better than getting a call from the client I'm working for about "why didn't you let them work" I know its casual but you learn to let some things slide to keep your client happy. Not everything is cut and dry, I get that.

Not me, but my cousin, he was heading to his class after getting lunch, they ate in the classrooms, accidentally walked into the wrong room, looks around, and says, "This isn't where I parked my car." Teacher sent him to the principal. Principal just sent him back to class. To this day we have no idea why the teacher decided a dumb but funny joke was worth sending him to the principal. content warning: mention of genocide and of fascistic ideologies.
I'm a 3rd year student in the history course at the philosophical college within the University of Montenegro. A week or two ago, while a bunch of us history students from different years were waiting for a professor to do our respective written exams, we talked about various topics, mostly in brief. One of the topics we dropped was the Circassian Genocide, a 19th century genocide the Russians committed on the native people of the northwestern Caucasus area. At least 80% of Circassians were killed or deported. One of the other 3rd year students, whom I've never really liked due to him openly being an unironic NazBol (basically a combination of Nazi and Stalinist), talked about the event as if it was a good thing that it happened. I looked at him, to use a Serbocroatian expression, as if from another person's head. On the one hand, I guess I should've expected a thing like this from him, but on the other, it was a real "is this bish serious" moment. I forgot how I replied, but I know that I did and in a very obviously disapproving/confrontational manner at that, but he quipped back with the classic racist/ethnonationalist response of "give me one example of a successful multicultural country". A different student (I think from one of the younger years) gave the US as an example, but the NazBol claimed that it didn't count, because, regardless of ethnicity, all Americans have been assimilated into a common culture. By the time I could think of historical examples (for example, Norman Sicily) and contemporary examples (for example, the de facto autonomous polity in Northeastern Syria) the conversation had already moved to a different topic, so I couldn't bring it up again.

Hello disabled person here. Someone in my favorite Jesus tv show fan club made a comment about why people aren't healed and that a specific scene is fake and not biblical. I replied to her" That scene has helped me so much. I have this condition called Arthrogryposis which means stiff joints and weak muscles. Let me ask you a question. Do you know what it's like not being able to cook your favorite meals or going out with your friends without feeling like a burden? I do and I have to live with that every day. I even got bullied once because I asked for something that I needed. When I was in Atlanta for the season 3 premiere, Dallas (the director) came over to me and said that there was a scene he wanted me to see and it was the Little James scene. That scene has touched so many lives including mine. I have had over 80 surgeries and procedures. I have spoken at my state capitol about my condition and got invited to speak at a teacher's conference. I graduated high school through a pandemic and I had to do online schooling because I'm immunocompromised. Jesus has given me the ability to speak to other people about my condition and using my disability to bring glory to him". Sorry for this long comment, but this was mine are you serious.

When I was in my second year of High School, we had that girl, I'll call her Helen B, saying she was dumb would be an insult to dumbness. Woest part is, we were in a scientific specialisation class, it was a wonder how she ended up here. She had no culture, couldn't do simple calculus, and most importantly, couldn't understand simple things when explained to her.
Once, during a history lesson, we were studying monuments to the deads after the Great War, the teacher tell us it is a war monument because it is adorned with a tank's tracks. Little explanation in our language, caterpillar and tracks are the same word.. And she reacts as if she had discovered volume and mass made up of density. "Wait!!! Those are Caterpillars ?!!! I thought they were insects !!!!"
During maths lessons, she would always ask the teacher to give us examples and practical exercises. He would always give them even if he didn't ask. Now, the thing is, that teacher had a face paralysis, he had an eternal smile stuck on his face, even when he was serious, he just had this "aura", you knew when he was calm, when he was joking, or when it was time to take him seriously.
When she talked to him, you knew it was time to cover your head because he was so furious lightbulbs might start to explode.
She didn't know when or why we had a national day (I'm pretty sure 80% of the whole planet knows about our national day, it kind of reshaped Europe), one of our teachers had to explain to her how levers work. She didn't believe him, he asked her to try and push the door near the hinges while he pushed near the handle, and even in front of the facts, she still didn't believe it... In freaking scientific specialisation...
Strangely enough, the next year, she ended dating the stupidest guy of the class, no one saw this coming.
Another interesting one is one of my former coworkers, not long ago.
She went in holiday to Portugal, and when she came back, she told us "You won't believe what I discovered, did you know the ocean had salt in it?!" Apparently, not only she didn't know that, but she didn't know seas are salty too...
And the nastiest for the end.
Another coworker, we had to let her go.
She would often cut or injure herself (I work in restoration), during the first few weeks she spent with us, I kept telling her to be careful, clean the cur and use bandaids, I had to be on her back constantly when she was using that could potentially hurt her (knives, tools with mechanical parts, and f**** paper), at some point, she simply began to hide she was hurt, she stopped putting bandaids so we wouldn't notice she had new injuries.
And it worked, my boss and I thought she had begun to be more careful... Until my boss found the pools of blood she left everywhere behind her.
We gave her a warning and she finally started paying more attention, so we kept her.
Eventually, she got pregnant, and the injuries bagan again. I even stopped warning her after we sharpened the blade because I could be sure she would cut herself right after (strangely, if we didn't warn her, she didn't cut herself immediately)
The last straw was after she got a very nasty cut, the kind you should go see a doctor to make sure everything is alright.
Her? Nope, she didn't do anything, she left her finger to turn blue due to bloodlessness, didn't disinfect it, put blood absolutely everywhere, including the food, and acted as if it was nothing. I had to stop, force her to clean, and bandage the finger. Told her to see a doctor as soon as possible and to change the bandage with a clean one.
She answered that there was no need, she only changed her bandaids/bandages once every two weeks or so....
The boss and I decided the last thing we wanted was a pregnant employee full of injuries and necrosis working with us.
The boss actually wanted to let her go for quite some time, I wasn't there when it happened, but the others told me, he didn't even fire her or tell her to not come back right away. Her contract was ending and he was waiting for her to ask if it would be renewed or not. He waited until the end. She finished her shift and left.
The boss went after her and asked if she would return the next day.
    She answered yes.
    He told her not to.
She said ok and simply left as if nothing had happened.

Oh God I have 2 stories that can make this list. A little back story I work in lawncare from 7:30 to 5 and at worst 7 we are working in the hot sun and we really want to make your lawn look good. So if you have problems you tell us and we'll do the best we can. Also I'm the boss son and every customer know this especially since I work from 18 to 24. You can see the potential problem in this.
First one I was cutting the lawn of a woman that has been making complaints about the border between her yard and the neighbors yard. Only problem is that this is a imaginary line that they made and there's no markings to tell us where to stop so we're going off of what we think. Anyway as I was cutting the lawn the woman walk up to make a complaint. I thought she was about to complain about the border only for her to claim that I was making zigzags lines on her yard. Now I'm very confused and I look at my lines and checking to make sure I'm not making zigzag on then and I wasn't so when I look at her I was like what is she talking about more information is needed. She saw the look and instead decided to go onto a rant talking about how she spend so much of her money to our "boss" and how she can't get the best to do her yard. And it was at that moment I realized she don't know I'm his son. So after that she look at me with annoyance and walk away and we don't cut her grass no more.
Last story is the most ridiculous thing I heard at work. For most people when you're cutting a yard you usually want it 3 or 4 on the mower and 2 or 5 depending on if yard is higher or lower in elevation. Also most yards need to be edge for it to get the neat and tidy look. Well we got a customer that would like us to put our lawn mower on 7 and to not edge it we look at her yard and we understand it it's very elevated so we'll do it the edging is a give and take but okay. However the neighbor next door we also do every week. Her yard is different from every yard that we cut in that the best way to describe the soil is that it's a sand like soil so we cut her on 3 along with edging. Well not anymore because she decided to listen to her neighbor and her recommendation and ask us to do the same for her. I gave my dad the oh "God no" look because we both know that it's not going to look good and we would be barely be cutting anything. We try to advise her against it but she's very adamant about it so doing what my dad told me I removed the protective washers on the number setting ,which should be a sign that no one should be on this level, and set it to seven and cut it. But the time I cut it my first thought was, "My god this look like a 70's carpet". But I have to do what she told us to do. It took a month until she walk up to me with an annoyed face and said, "Do what you have to do to make my lawn look good you've been making my yard look raggedy these days" hearing that I thought "finally" and did it what I thought would look good while knowing what the customer actually meant she wanted. Lesson here every yard is different and don't copy others it could be bad especially if we charge you for every cut and we cut you every once a week.

I used to work at Five Guys, and one time we had a guy call in and ask if his son, who was allergic to peanuts, could have the *Penutbutter Milkshake* and I had to explain to him that no, he should not have it as it contains, you know, Peanuts, due to being made with Peanutbutter, which he thought was stupid. I didn't say it out loud, but like, dude, it literally has penutbutter in the name, why the hell do you think you could give it to someone with a peanut allergy. I then had to explain to him that yes, the fries that are advertised as being cooked in peanut oil, are in fact cooked in peanut oil. On the one hand, I'm glad he called and asked before endangering his child, but on the other hand, like dude, really, just think about it for a moment. Hell, his son shouldn't even come near the store, we have peanuts out in the open there and allergy warnings all over the door. SMH

My teacher in 10th grade asked the class how many states our home country of germany had.
The first response was 16 which is the correct awnser but the teacher said it was wrong.
Every head in the class turned. Wait what?
How many states you think we have?
She said 17. So we asked her to name the 17 states. She quickly mentioned Mallorca. A spanish Island which is a very popular tourist destination for germans the amount of locals that speak german is probally much higher than the rest of spain. However it is not a part of germany and therefore doesn't count as a state. We couldn't stop laughing for the rest of the day.

As someone who identifies as a devote Christian, if you have to act judgemental or hateful to someone who doesn't follow your beliefs or just having an all around highly toxic, "I KNOW I'm better than everyone! I'm the best Christian ever, and everyone else NEEDS to feel inferior to me! Jesus told me himself and now he worships me! Blah fucking blah". Let me tell you, they aren't Christians in any sense of the word, and just like all negative stereotypes, they give us a bad name, and frankly, I find it very offensive that they actually refer to themselves as "Godly", since they're so legalistic and basically wipe their asses with the very same "message" they insist on shoving down people's throats. In summary, if they have no love in their hearts, then God is most certainly not present there either. After reading this, I hope some of you who have been, very understandably, driven to hate "Christians," (in which I'm so sorry to know that you were treated like that) I want you to know, that I love you, and I'm by no means perfect in any way shape or form, not even close to close, and whatever your beliefs may be, I'm just happy to know that you're happy. Whoever you are, I'd love to chill and smoke a j wit ya 😇😶‍🌫️😉❤ without any forced discussion of religion or anything of the sort 👉

Story 8: At least when this happened to me, the guys who were supposed to clean my carpet were nearly 6 hours late. I called them three times and they kept saying they'd be there soon, and they're dealing with other costumers. That's all fine but SIX HOURS?! No, I told them I would do it myself and canceled. They had the balls to tell me the job wouldn't be as good as them. That's fine. I'm not looking for perfection. At least it'll be done before it gets dark! I stayed awake all day from my night shift waiting for them. I wasn't having any of their excuses.
Story 18: Try fighting back against bullies only for adults to say you need therapy and bullies get a slap on the wrist. Idiots.

ah.. i was in a club in school, can’t really remember what it was for, but it was the first day and we were doing some icebreaker activities to get to know the other people in the group. it consisted of assuming something about the person to your right and that person later correcting the other person and doing the same thing with the next. it was very innocent and honestly fun, the questions were kind of like, “you seem like you have an orange cat” or “you seem like you really liked horses as a kid.” that was until it was some guy's turn to “judge” me. this asshole said, “you look like you don’t work out.” the whole room went quiet. i told him i worked out everyday without fail. and i was not even overweight, like at all, i had just gained a few pounds because i was in recovery for BULIMIA. the entire group berated him for that and essentially kicked him out, but it still was a shitty experience. everyone was too stunned to speak

As a Christian who does not support the... what did you call it? Alphabet mafia? I could not agree more. I would never mock someone for being gay or bi or whatever. They are people with intrinsic value and they deserve my respect because they are made in God's image. If they ask my opinion, yeah I'll give it. But otherwise it's not my decision to make. Why would they listen to my input if I treated them like I hated them? Anyways. I hope someone can realize that not all Christians are like that, not even ones that disagree with modern ideology in that way.

Longish story that I've been waiting for years to tell. Highschool. I think it was Junior year. It was time for Chemistry and we were in the lab that day. I sit at my station with my pile of notebooks, calculator, and miscellaneous junk I carried everywhere. The class files in and everyone sits down at their station. Teacher comes in and tells us to get the Bunsen Burner ready for that day's experiment. Burner out, plugged into gas thing, and flicked on. Start to tune everything out because it had been a long day and just wanted to get through class. Barely paying attention to teacher when suddenly there was the sound of glass exploding. What? Turn to look across my station to one of my partners. He's holding a piece of a thermometer near the Burner and nervously smiling. Teacher breaks silence and asks what happened. Turns out he wanted to see the line go up in the thermometer so instead of sticking it in the sun, he stuck it in the flame.
    Really?
Teacher nervously laughs and says that it was good that they had spent the summer before removing all mercury thermometers from the labs. She asks what color the fluid was. It was grey.
    ...really? F....
We evacuate the lab and go to the lounge just long enough for the vice principal to come down and drag myself, station partners, and the two people that sat behind our station to the conference room to be quarantined. We get told to sit in this windowless room and wait for the hazardous clean up crew to show up from thirty minutes away. Well, that sucks. Now there are 6 scared teens in a room alone. That turns to irritation very quickly toward the one that got us locked up who is nervously laughing about it. Thirty minutes go by and they came back only to say that the crew from the town 30 mins away refused to come so we now had to wait for one from an hour away.
    Really?!
However, they were told that the guy responsible and the person directly across from him in the lab needed to give up our shoes because contamination. Guess who was the one that had been directly across. So goodbye brand new $80 boots that I got because they supported my weak ankles. Great day to show off my mismatched socks...
Time passes. We find a dry erase marker and the whiteboard. Finally something to do to expend our nervous energy. We start playing Hangman and actually start to laugh. Then counselor pops her head in and scolds us for being "loud".
Really? There were NO classrooms against the conference room so any noise we made bothered nobody.
We quiet down but try not to go back to being mad. Bell rings. Time for next class for everyone but us. We start telling stories and jokes until the vice principal kind of angrily opens the door and gets mad at us for making noise.
...really? You want 6 teens to sit scared in this room for however long it takes till the hazard crew to get here? By all rights, we could have been screaming and scrying and yelling at each other. We were trying to not give into that but we were still 6 scared teens. Excuse us for being what we were. More time passes. Next bell rings for the last class of the day. Still no word on where the crew is. Chemistry teacher comes in with her laptop and offers to show us a movie since we were stuck. Finally! Something we could do without getting scolded for no reason for. Just as she was starting that up, vice principal comes back and says the hazard crew won't be coming because a thermometer amount of mercury wasn't enough to warrant them driving the hour that day.
    ...really!?
We get told to hurry to our last class. I instead go to the office and call my mom to bring me shoes because aforementioned weak ankles. She's confused as to why I needed them but brings them. I quickly explain I had been quarantined and ran to my last class. Find out that nobody had told any of our teachers that we were quarantined and other students had to tell them so we wouldn't get in trouble.
    Just...really??
End of the day, drag my feet and drive home. Explain it all to my mom. Find out school never called or told her what had occurred. She then makes me throw out my outfit because again contamination. I actually liked that outfit. She then calls some of the other parents and find out that nobody had been told by the school that their kids had been put in quarantine. So there are now angry parents.
Next day, hazard crew is there. Guess that hour drive wasn't so bad that morning. Chem lab is locked down. I have none of my stuff as it is all in the lab. Stays locked down for a week. They test everything and all my stuff was contaminated but not the guy's who put the thermometer in the Burner.
Really!?! I lose my boots, my notebooks with all my drawings and stories, and school notes and work, my outfit, and nearly lose my scientific calculator right before an exam in (I think it was trigonometry??? Can't remember what math class) but pushing the matter they are able to clean that up so I at least don't have to pay for a new one. Everyone at the station lost any notebook or anything else on the table. But the guy got to keep his shoes...
Had to pester the school to compensate me on my loss of shoes because that thermometer should not have been there (and yes he shouldn't have been putting things in a Bunsen Burner flame...).
The guy said at one point that one day we would look back at this and laugh. Can't say I look back and laugh over a decade later but I'm not mad about it anymore. But there are still A LOT of "Really?" moments that still make me shake my head.

    Okay my moment was this:
So, I'm a girl and I had a friend who was the opposite gender, let's call him Gecko (not his real name) Anyway, Gecko dated a lot of girls online, those relationships obviously never lasted as long as he hoped they would, that is if they lasted long at all. After a while I started to notice and/or figure out his dating patterns, he would talk with a girl online for a while, start dating her, then after about a week or a couple days, she would break up with him. Anyways, one day a girl he was dating suddenly just blocked him for no reason and it understandably crushed him. I was just being a good friend and letting him cry to me like someone should hope a friend does for them in their low moments. Now a little more to know about Gecko, he was for sure an anxious person considering whenever he got super stressed his hands would start shaking and sometimes he could potentially pass out. Gecko's hands were shaking and of course as his friend my first instinct was to figure out a way to help him calm down, the first thing that came to my mind was to give him a hand to hold because if I were in that situation, I think I would want someone to hold my hand and be comforting, so that's exactly what I did. That idea actually worked and Gecko's hands slowly stopped shaking as I let him squeeze my hand for a bit. Now here's where stuff starts to get a little weird, as I'm holding his hand at some point I feel his thumb slightly rub my hand as if he was subtly trying to caress it. A lot of people would sometimes see us walking together and ask if we were dating, every time we would both get annoyed and say no, we are strictly platonic. So with that in mind, I put the creeping thought of him potentially developing a crush on me on the back-burner and instead just assumed that this was a sign he felt comforted and at ease. A few seconds later I hug him while he cries on my shoulder, again because I thought that would be the next best step into helping him feel a bit better. However while he was hugging me, his head slowly but surely started resting on my chest. Again, because I desperately wanted to believe that he wasn't developing a crush on me, I ignored it and just assumed that this was just him being vulnerable. A couple days later, Gecko seemed really nervous and when I asked why he said he had to tell me something but was to nervous to say it in person. So I'm immediately thinking "well shit...time to prepare how I'm going to let him down gently." I of course offer the idea of him texting it to me so he's not telling me in person but I could also respond in person if I felt I needed to, he agreed to this and we both gt out our phones. He told me that he had a crush on a girl for two days now, my first thought to that was "two days? that's not at all long enough to determine if you're actually in love or just infatuated." I obviously respond in a friendly way and ask him who it is, preying that he doesn't respond with me...unfortunately, that's exactly what he does. I pause for a second and calmly tell him in person that I only want to be friends, he seems to accept my response and thanks me for being chill about the situation. However, sometimes when we would text, his texts seemed to maybe or maybe not be hinting that he wasn't exactly over it and was maybe thinking he could change my mind. For example, one time we were texting and the conversation of that one day popped up...I was cool about it and decided to continue the conversation, at some point he said that when I held his hand that day he felt how soft and warm it was, I replied with an okay and a thumbs-up emoji. Another time, he had texted me saying that he was super stressed and needed someone to communicate with, of course I was there for him...and at some point he texted saying that his hands were shaking and he wished he had a hand to hold...I wanted to just put the whole Gecko Crush Incident behind us so I responded in a fun and friendly way with a hand emoji and a text that said "here's a virtual one" Gecko's response was to text back "it's soft and warm" it was at that moment I kind of regretted sending that text. Anyway's, that's my story.
(TLDR: My friend confessed his crush on me, I friend-zoned him, he was seemingly cool about it but then may or may not have been)

When the Athiest knows more about Christians values than some Christians even know. Jokes aside I'm a Christian and I've never gotten why other Christians will do that crap. It is exactly the OPPOSITE of what we're supposed to do. And even if you're not Christian I think we can all agree that Jesus taught to litterally not do that
