Thanks! Was a little stubborn but I got it running.. currently rebuilding the pull start and fixing the clutch. Then for attachments! It’ll definitely be up there!
Is that pull starter original? I don't believe I've ever seen this model with the pull starter. I've seen every electric start model i have A few old international cub cadet tractors i just picked up A 1971 model 129 yesterday
i would like to find a service manual for the k161. i know little about the engine. mine on the 61 original runs well but i don't know anything about the governor and it is not working..
You may have to reset the government there usually A small nut that you have to loosen on the governor linkage arm loosen the governor linkage arm make sure that your throttle is set to the wide open position take A pair of needle nose pliers pinch the needle nose pliers onto the Small governor shaft that's in the middle of the governor linkage arm twist the governor linkage shaft clockwise it should only move A tiny bit hold the governor linkage arm shaft firmly once you've turned it clockwise then quickly tighten the small nut on the governor linkage arm make sure it's reasonably firm but not too tight and try to start the engine it should run like new
Nice save Mike! Glad to see that 4-digit running. Hope to see it at Lebanon in a few weeks!
