U got ambition! My 1st obvious question is wouldn't a 800/8000 series be easier since u want the hyd lift? 2nd is are the rpm of diesel close to the Kohler's? Looking forward 2 the build.
If I was just going for a diesel swapped machine then yes I'd get a 800/8000 machine but the 4WD part I need the 400 series because I can back feed the PTO On the front transmission and make a jack shaft to come out the block off plate that I'll be making for the second trans to power front mounted attachments. On top the shifting linkages would be a lot more involved using a 800/8000 trans.
Very interesting. Can’t wait to see more!
400 series had a electric lift available. We had one on our 432 years ago.
Looks like you have your work cut out for you. Subbed.
Hanging a diesel off the back of that thang= wheelies for daaays! Lol... Counterweight, anyone?
That L100 clone weighs less then the Kohler K321 that used to hang off the back of that trans, no wheels good sir :(
@FullMetalFab Ohh- I forget that it woulda had a big ole iron b@stard!
