38:04 the thing is, the championship wasn’t lost at that point. That is exactly why Lando doesn’t have the championship mentality. Champions don’t give up when the win is unlikely, see Max in Brazil…

Keep up the good work, Cameron. People are always going to have vastly differing opinions. It would be nice if people could speak well of their favorite driver without having to drag their competition through the mud. That applies to all sides. I understand people are invested in their favs, but it doesn't have to get ugly. Happy New Year to all!

57:28 it’s like people completely forget Lewis yeeting max into the barrier at Silverstone at 51G… or 2020 when he pushed Albon off track in Austria, or 2011 when Lewis was in an aggressive phase because the car was slow, and literally told the press “I drive aggressively because my car is not fast enough at times and I have to push and be aggressive.” Some people would be interested to know that Lewis racked up 3x more penalties for race incidents than Max in 2019-2021.

It would be foolish to expect Lewis to keep up with Charles. Charles is the clear second best driver, it would take everything for even someone like Lewis to go into charles's house and take his meal. Am tired of the q1,q2 glimmers of hope from Lewis before the inevitable q3 mistake. Made peace with it, just enjoying the last few years of his greatness. One thing for sure would be stupid to underestimate him despite all the logical reasons.

People who think Hamilton's age doesn't matter don't understand the human body and in general aren't watching sports in general. Whether it's football, American football, Basketball, track & field, gymnastics, swimming, tennis etc. It's practically unheard of; of a legendary athlete at his age to grab the gold. Then we aren't even talking about non sportive but psychically very demanding professions, like first responders, soldiers/military aviators, construction workers, oil platform workers etc. If he pulls it off it would be his biggest F1 achievement, but he would absolutely has to push his mind & body to the absolute limit (most likely has to go over it). Looking forward to you going scorched earth tomorrow hehehe😁👍👊💪.

For Lando, you may have considered him the only driver on the grid who made the most mistakes and fumbles this year, but in retrospect, with all these fumbles, he was still only the first of the losers (2nd above the drivers who have had good seasons). So I can only imagine how much better he can get when he perfects himself. Thus, I can't exclude him from talks of being a champion, especially if this is his worst. This is just my humble opinion

Hi Cameron, (I'm a big fan! Just to say it! Cheers from Brazil!) ...about Lewis "prime" ...even IF Ferrari brings an unbelievably winning car this year, Lewis will have to deal with Charles to begin with... and I'm not so sure on how this is going to be to him! ...and Charles is as eager as Lando and as George, to be a champion ...as Max was in 2021!!!

Listening to you Cam, is like watching a mad game of intellectual tennis; you're playing your own game but you're also batting off several other players at the same time (Do you bat in tennis? Don't watch it😂). We enjoy the quick witted discourse. Lewis is in the running; I agree with @Hybrid; If anyone can do it (at his age) then Lewis can.🏎 You have talked about Lando's self deprecating style before, referencing that this is not the way to go to build confidence. You appreciate it now? I think it's his style and whilst his self deprecation may temper, that's just him but he has a mendacious spirit, quick to spit. Nico tried to mentor him, let's hope they touched base over the break,

38:21 even if you take out the first five races max still wins. So this whole crap of the first five wins the championship was one is baloney. It would’ve been a heck of a lot closer, but Max would’ve still won.

52:16 there’s no way. You can’t need someone to tell you that you are capable of winning a championship to win. Max has said it before, you have to go out there believing you will win every race, or you won’t be able to bring it home. You have to believe that you’re the champion before you can take that step.

Lol the Max / Lewis D!©kriding is insane 😂
The Redbull was clearly the dominant car of 2022, 2023, and for the first half of 2024, for the rest of 2024 it was near the top but didn't have .4 to .6 tenths on the rest of the field anymore.
An F1 result is 90% about the car and that last 10 is a mixture of skill, racecraft, strategy and luck.
Is Max the best of his generation? Yes he is. Was Lewis the best of his? Yeah but that don't mean either could win a championship in a midfield car - at best they could compete for a couple of podiums when everything including the weather is going their way.

I think some, not all far from all but the keyboard warriors SLH fans think Mercedes and Toto framed Lewis are crazy. No no no. That would hurt Mercedes bottom line and one thing you can take to the bank is that a team like Mercedes will not risk profits. However saying his age is a thing is wrong. I don’t hear this argument about Alonso. Of course he is not in his prime but post prime Lewis is still top 5 even top 2 on the grid. Age in elite sport is a number.
PS all this talk of Russell and Norris been killers, I don’t buy it. Russell just cries all the time when things don’t go his way and Norris just messes things up all time. 2024 shows that. There not Rookies far from it now. They haven’t kicked on. There not in maxs or Lewis’s league. And Charles fastest over one lap blah blah blah. A last check a race wasn’t over one lap so not sure what been fast over one lap does.

    Cam,
It was rumored that Hamilton wanted £250m 5 year contract + 10 year Mercedes ambassadorial role for £200m…
That’s £450m or $550m USD (half a billion!!!) over 10 years…if you were Toto and Merc in 2023, would you take that deal?
LH and Merc settled on a 1+1 (24’ +25’ option)…what was Mercedes counter-offer to LH? How did we get from half a billion over 10 years to a 1+1?
Short answer is, LH made an all or nothing offer.
He’s not going to Ferrari to win an 8th…he’s going to cash out what’s left of his brand.
Even this rumored Ferrari deal is shyte (for Ferrari)…87m/year 2+1 & 272m in a joint investment fund…wut lmao
This deal will fall apart in 26’.
