    I just ran power only for all of 2023. Schneider made me the most money. Get a trailer and keep it. If you keep it 48 hours without running a load, they won't say anything. Getting trailers and dropping them off can take you 100 miles out if your way so, again, I suggest not going Bobtail until you're ready to get the flatbed.

      I did the same thing with JB Hunt until I bought my own trailer. As long as you were moving, they had no concern. It was only when I parked that trailer for 2 days...then they would call and ask me to drop the trailer at a nearby Walmart DC.

      So then you were doing live load/unload for Schneider 100% or were you hauling some for other brokers?

    I’m running leased on to Prime with a 2019 freightliner but from what I’ve read I’ll be required to retire this truck or change to another carrier by years end 2025. Prime is part CDL school, part carrier, part broker and part truck dealership. They rely upon all of these parts working in harmony. If things get out of balance they take steps to bring everything back to equilibrium. From what I’ve learned in my 3 years trucking is that there’s no way to establish a pattern, freight is good then bad. I run flatbed and my revenue is the same in July as it is in February. There’s no rhyme or reason to anything, the only thing that matters is that I keep running consistently3k-3500 miles/week.

    Just came across your channel. Your way of thinking has probably overlooked running Amazon freight many times. I 100 percent run only Amazon freight and havent been in your situation because I have contract freight with them. People are always going to not be honest. You have more experience then I would turn in that new truck and get a cash truck and be comfortable and happy. How do i know this because Im making it with a 15k cash truck and contract freight home everyday

    • @ridingwithkev5560
      @ridingwithkev5560  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +5

      No sir definitely looked at amazon. I don't really have a desire to run power only. As I mentioned I am not really in a situation. I always planned to switcheroo reefer to flatbed in the spring. I am just playing with power only because we are buying a house. I could just stay home and wait but I enjoy driving. I also only financed about 12K on my truck just to build some business credit. Tons of options Ibwas just sharing some experiences.

    A Jb hunt dude named Steve Jackson (Carrier Aquisition Specialist) said he has to book me the first load at 73% as a requirement for giving me access of their power only load board. I felt like that’s illegal internal brokerage going on at JB hunt and access to The power only load board should be free. I wonder who else I should talk to about this. I don’t need the regular 360 load board, I need the power only load board that I know they have. I’ve been on the road long with my own authority, I hate been taken in circles by people.

      @ridingwithkev5560  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Yeah they told me the same thing about them having to book my first load. I have a budyldy who ran the power only board and according to him they were constantly having to pull loads odd the 360 board for him due to the PO board having less loads

      Is the jb hunt loadboard free? I though I heard it is. I did look at 1 carrier loadboard. They wanted me to fill out a small form name, email, and maybe a dot number. does your MC # have to be active?

    • @naomioshi
      @naomioshi 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@ridingwithkev5560 yeah I’ve also heard the same about them having less loads on the PO board, but my point is why not give us the board we make our decision on picking their loads or not. The 360 bidding board is even worse if you ask me. 😅😅. Anyway the illegal internal brokerage in JB Hunt & Landstar has been a long lived rumor & I guess I’m starting to believe that rumor. Alternatively is someone who has the access of the board to just give me access and I get to see whatever there is there. They ain’t as wise as they think they are really. But what do I know 😅🤐.
