The main reason being he knows that divorcing her means losing his daughter because he has no real claim biologically. Until the dad dies and the mum lands in jail.

He never looked at Dong Eun as a pitiful woman. She forever in his eyes was reverred as a strategist. Very much like himself. If anything he was in awe of her strength.
Even though I wanted for them to end up together I was glad they did not...the endgame was pure revenge

He knew his rights . He loved Ye Sol since birth , did everything for her for 8 years , provided for her . Ain't no way would he give his cheating wife or the creep to have the satisfaction of snatching Ye Sol from him . He knew that those two don't deserve this sweet baby, he did everything to keep her . Best Dad ever. Never let them have a trial over the kid he raised.
And he divorced Yeonjin in prison not because of just assets . If he didn't, Yeonjin would take Ye Sol and go to Jae Jun. Just think how he would have felt then . That would be the worst thing for his heart and reputation.
Dong-eun also knows he is the strongest character out there, that's why she approached him carefully, not like to gain his sympathy, but more like trying to introduce him to her intention and see how he is gonna react. She knew he can turn her upside down if he wants
Fortunately for her, Do-yeong's a reasonable sort.
This actor is just impossibly beautiful and he has an incredible screen presence. He is mesmerizing, I could not take my eyes off him. I loved the character that he played so brilliantly too. What brilliant casting. The Glory is so damned good.
How smart is he? He was forced to choose between two women and instead of doing that, he chose his daughter and what’s best for her instead of getting caught up in their bullshit.
If that’s not intelligence, I don’t know what is.

Its mind-blowing to think that he, as the sanest looking, emotionally controlled and most well put together character, got away with murder!
I heard one comedian(a father of two) say something like “I will die for my son, but I will KILL for my daughter”. And I think Doyeong did just that. Just my humble opinion, with Jaejun already blind I don’t think killing him off was necessary though. No matter how hard JJ wants to get custody of Yesol u can’t accomplish a whole lot if you can’t see, let alone raise her. He should’ve lived the rest of his life as a blind man….someone who could once barely see a few colors now never able to see ANY ever again
Plus, I think it goes to show it’s the quiet ones you gotta watch out for too. Everyone, even the most classy person like DY has a dark side.
Ha Do Yeong! I never see him in any of k drama, but I love the role he’s playing, I see the chemistry between him and Song Hye Kyo...They are match.. hope to see him as main lead in another drama with Song Hye Kyo.❤
Check kdrama BAD AND CRAZY with Lee dong wook. HDY played as a Psychologist with a twist. But honestly his role in Glory is his best work.
This is the thinnest review I have ever seen. It is so bad I feel that 8 minutes of my life have been stolen. For instance, killing Jae Jun was perfectly in character. Ha Do-yeong showed total commitment to Yee Sol. Even in his final conversation with Dong-Eun he asked about Yee-Sol. The only way to protect Yee-Sol from a mono-maniac narcissist like Jae Jun was to eliminate Jae Jun. It was much closer to self defense than murder.
And his character’s name is pronounced Do, as in Play Doh and John Doe.
Not sure why he didn’t receive a nomination he was awesome.
He is a good father not siding with anyone but his daughter even if shes not related to him by blood he was one of my favorites.

HDY is definitely attracted to MDE but he knows MDE is never attracted to him. One-way traffic is not what he wants knowing that his wife actually loves Jae Jun, not him.
Plus his company and his daughter.

Everyone has found peace in his/ her own way ie. PYJ knows her daughter will be well looked after by HD while in jail for the rest of her life; other perpetrators finding peace in their own way ie. RIP or achieving their revenge.

Song Hye Kyo prove with this drama, She can play any role! I ❤️ her in every drama she’s in it. She can pull of with any man... Just love it.
His priority was the kid, because he was, capable of love.
He loved his wife I deeply and he also loved Dong Eun. She should have ended up with him
I hope in season 3, they get together, she liked his daughter, and also him, one could tell, bit she did noch choose him, because she did not want to involve the kid in the revenge, plan. The chemistry was there definitely. She picked the Doctor out of Pity, not chemistry or real love. The Doctor is really screwedup creepy. Sie ist still very normal, then her revenge is, very well planed, an calculating, and rational, her plan was that those evil doers, destroy each other. But she ist definitely really attracted to him. The would also fit well together.
He is very impressive. Right goodness & rational emotions. Very disciplined.
Totally disagree also. The scariest about him is that he understood he was a lot like her, and that's why he wished her happiness at the end. That's why he ate that piece of cake at the end, to savor the ending that he could not have. He wanted her but knew he had to let go. He had to think of his child's happiness. And you know what? Dong Eun understood too. She also told him she didn't target his child because it would have hurt HIM. In the end, it was obviously HER that told HIM where Jae Jun was headed to give HIM a chance to take of the threat of Jae Jun once and for all. These two? They might not be lovers in this life, but their love for each other was there. They were soul mates.
Ha Do-Yeong is one of the most enigmatic characters, we never know what he might be thinking. Of course he is intense but rational, sophisticated and charming, he is the most charming character of all.
Jung sung and Song hye kyo they have a wonderful chemistry together and a love them to see in a movie together in the near future.♥️💋😘

Being married to his wife is the biggest hint that he is a miserable character. That said, I still think he’s one of the smartest characters in the series.

He was fabulous in this and I wanted him with the FL their chemistry was fire. If together the two of them would have cherished the child and it would have been master revenge and I think they could have found love and healing. And always played GO

For real "Go" is a strategic game that is like a battlefield, if you haven't your eyes enough on that defense and attack are balanced you will lost the game. Don Eun and her bullys husband play it in the real world so they plan carefully their next steps, hide what is to hide, show what brings others to make theis steps and tempts them to make mistakes. There is no bad or good, that's only strategy to come to a point they want.
Mrs. Bully, if her mother were not such a cruel and evil person, influenced from a shaman, would she have had done the same to Dong Eun!? The best was both ends in jail and breathe sifted air! Cause of the influence from them Dong Euns mother was in a psychiatric clinic. All the vilians get their penalty in the end.
I completely take a pity toward him 😢😢😢 He is a good and smart man. His wife has betrayed and cheated on him with another man, His daughter is not his but his wife's ex lover. It's nice to know that at the end, he is the one who has gotten custody over Ye Sol.

It is very oddly strange for me if you rearrange the letters of this character's name subtly you will get the female lead's character name
Because they are mixed up together more than they would admit to themselves. There is attraction--he says to his wife and she says so to him (not wanting to hurt him). Yet, both understand their paths--she cannot cross his (he's a billionaire after all) and he cannot risk his world for her. There is a hint of a future, but whether they will take a step in that path is another story :). Maybe they'll meet again in a game of go in the future and who knows????
I like only him in this series how he love and protect his daughter he not only divorce his wife for his assets his daughter doesn't suffer from her now or later and child's biological dad came and claim for his right so only he get angry
