I had Alexa playing some soft music and I fell asleep only to be woken by Madisen Ward & Mama Bear! I knew immediately I'd found a new artist for life. Just love the passion!
WTF!? 77,000 Views? How is this possible? These two are insanely talented and play with their souls. Yet garbage rappers get millions of views. I don't get it. All is almost lost. The end is nigh!
I'm more like, isn't it amazing how we can have artists like these alive and playing, releasing new a new album in 2019? That whilst we have a whole sea of hip hop artists, a growing country segment, more international folk music than ever to listen to, and we have the choice in supporting new and upcoming artists through platforms like Patreon? I, more than saying the end is nigh, have to say things haven't looked this good in years for music lovers. Mainstream songs can be cool (I truly don't mind myself), but we still have space for artistry like this. I have nothing but thanks to give to the band, amazing performances.
Lyrics: I was resting again The leaves were restless again They’re my only friends No matter where they’ve been I just need a place to sleep A place to take me in I’ve got a couple of songs I play em on the corner at dawn Whichever sidewalk I’m on Until the people are gone I just need a place to go So I don’t sleep on the lawn [Chorus] Last night I slept in a big yellow taxi My imagination told me I was in the back seat Of course, that was a story I sung Even though I had clothes, I froze Even my jacket was cold So flick a couple nickels my way I will get the pecking away A couple licks I can play And now you’re fixing to pay But everybody’s cheap And now I’m sleeping in my taxi today [Chorus] Last night I slept in a big yellow taxi My imagination told me I was in the back seat Of course, that was a story I sung Even though I had clothes, I froze Even my jacket was cold So maybe I should call it a night Yes, I know I gave it a fight But now my body is tight Stuck in the city lights I don’t want to go, but I know Maybe my parents are right [Chorus x2] Last night I slept in a big yellow taxi My imagination told me I was in the back seat Of course, that was a story I sung Even though I had clothes, I froze Even my jacket was cold
I always thought it was "My imagination told me I was in the backseat of th'world That was the story I's sold" I'll probably still sing it that way, if I can ever figure out how to play the intro.
I'll never stop loving this song. I was at a very low point in life when I discovered Madison and his Ma

Absolutely beautiful. I cried watching this
My new favorite!!
Lyrics:
I was resting again
The leaves were restless again
They’re my only friends
No matter where they’ve been
I just need a place to sleep
A place to take me in
I’ve got a couple of songs
I play em on the corner at dawn
Whichever sidewalk I’m on
Until the people are gone
I just need a place to go
So I don’t sleep on the lawn
[Chorus]
Last night I slept in a big yellow taxi
My imagination told me I was in the back seat
Of course, that was a story I sung
Even though I had clothes, I froze
Even my jacket was cold
So flick a couple nickels my way
I will get the pecking away
A couple licks I can play
And now you’re fixing to pay
But everybody’s cheap
And now I’m sleeping in my taxi today
[Chorus]
Last night I slept in a big yellow taxi
My imagination told me I was in the back seat
Of course, that was a story I sung
Even though I had clothes, I froze
Even my jacket was cold
So maybe I should call it a night
Yes, I know I gave it a fight
But now my body is tight
Stuck in the city lights
I don’t want to go, but I know
Maybe my parents are right
[Chorus x2]
Last night I slept in a big yellow taxi
My imagination told me I was in the back seat
Of course, that was a story I sung
Even though I had clothes, I froze
Even my jacket was cold
I always thought it was
"My imagination told me I was in the backseat of th'world
That was the story I's sold"
I'll probably still sing it that way, if I can ever figure out how to play the intro.
