I'm watching "Loudermilk" on Netflix and just before it went to "next episode", I caught the pause key so that I could listen. The ending of the show during final credits gave us only one minute of "Silent Movies." But it was enough to Google those lyrics, and I found Madisen Ward and The Mama Bear! Thank goodness I did, because it was the first time I've been this moved by a sound and a band. Lordy, I hope you'll sing forever!
Just when I think all is lost in the music world I am delivered by something beautiful. Madisen and his MoM are nothing short of stunning. Listening to their voices and guitar work I hear field hollers, and the choir in an old Baptist Church rockin' off the hinges, and I hear something absolutely real in an unreal World. That's what I hear......................
Madisen Ward is easy a top 5 favorite in my opinion. The way Mama Bear is when she's playing, and the looks that Madisen Ward gives her takes them to a whole nother level in my eyes. Seriously, I can't shut up about them, I listen almost every day! Keep up the good work friends!
Oh, I do love your music. Every song is amazing. Thank you for your hard work, talent and bravery. It takes courage to put your music "out there." So enjoy it!
HINTERLAND in Des Moines next weekend! Saw these spectacular folks open for Rodrigo y Gabriela at Hoyt Sherman and I can not WAIT to hear them again... I really hope for more people to be able to know this music... Makes me want to move every time. Keep it up, MW&MB!
Had the pleasure of watching them open for The Record Company tonight. My first thought was man, they need to be on Tiny Desk. And of course NPR had long ago discovered their talent. Buying the new alblum to play endelssly for the next few weeks.
I saw these guys at the Independence B&N cd signing. I asked them to sign my cigar box guitar, they wouldn't sign it until I played it for them. Cool group. I haven't seen them perform live yet, but I want to. Skeleton Crew is an excellent album.
@Clark Stone-Bear your use of the word "grate" as you want it to would be spelled great; grate on the other hand is the beginning of (grate)ful also to grate potatoes or cheese; also someone like myself grated on your nerves. Forgive me. Just thought you might like to know.
@@kathyhollenbach7413 ha! That's funny. Your definitely right on your spelling call out. People shouldn't get mad at someone correcting them. It's the way it's said I guess. But getting corrected on your spelling is how you learn that it was wrong. Other wise you just go on with life assuming it was right. Not only giving the right spelling but giving a sentence, word or time where the spelling I made would make sense was perfect.

When do you ever see a Mother and Son singing duo?
I saw these guys at the Independence B&N cd signing. I asked them to sign my cigar box guitar, they wouldn't sign it until I played it for them. Cool group. I haven't seen them perform live yet, but I want to. Skeleton Crew is an excellent album.

This is beautiful! I so wish one day I could do this with my son but...I do not have her talents.
