@@chrisg6492well it was figured out that clear strobes since they’re brighter but also the newer ones that flash once a second will less likely cause a seizure but are more noticable
I've heard that gentex code 3 voice evac tone before. One of the detectors at a hospital detected a microwave/ something in the cafeteria that burnt and it triggered all of the fire alarms in the building. It kept going off until the fire department went there to see what was going on and shut it off. I know it's only a voice evac but the hertz in those alarms (1000hz) if played for an extended time is really easy to give a patient a stroke.
@@an_official_scratcher_alt those are from the 80s - also they do not synchronize therefor not compliant with ADA. Nor have strobes synchronized till the early 1990s.
OMG I LOVE THIS!! A couple sounds I’ve never heard in a fire alarm which is really neat! Especially the code-4. Btw, I do have a few questions. You don’t have to answer them if you don’t want to or you can take your time to answer them. But which sound was this voice evacuation 3:48 ? Also this slow whoop tone 10:14 ? What is this sound 11:37 ? And does the alert alarm have different sounds 13:30 ?
1) That’s the audiosone whoop tone 2) That’s the simplex 4100 whoop tone 3) That’s the wheelock safepath voice evac message 4) The speaker/strobes play a tone, and the other beeping is the CO detector itself
@@FireAlarmDude5967 ok but uh i don't as in do not think you need to replace the horn yet if it is an outdoor speaker strobe but i think the strobe only on the tree might be yellowish.
You said you Nexxus put up code freeze that has the flash strobe in the middle in the bottom that sound the same you should do next month when you do your fire alarm test on May 27, 2024
It's a very long panel and copper wire process, I recommend going to college/tech school to learn how to be an electrician and you can get experience how to install one from there.
Can someone make an entirely new fire alarm with a fully voice cloned text to speech voice or something? It would be… like… the fire alarm of the future? Idk. Keep your house. Please.

For Vintage, the speakers seem really nice in terms of quality. I’ve always been fascinated with Wheelock’s Alarms.
I love the old, frosted, low-candela strobes. It's a shame we'll never see those again, they looked much more pleasing in operation.
Nice! :)
If you want to see alot more of them, go to Reno, Vegas, And Atlantic City! ALOT OF VINTAGE STUFF!
Yeah
There is a reason they don't make frosted strobes anymore. They didn't ban frosted strobes for no reason.

Great voice evac test
Very cool old Wheelock Speaker Strobes! These are very rare
mhm
Really really rare. Fully not in stock on the internet sales.
Awesome test

I definitely notice how those holes on that specific speaker strobe aren't aligned.
Very cool! Those things are pretty loud.
12:42 what kind of emergency light is that? I've always wanted to know and could never find the model
A Convention Center in Rosemont IL has these guys
❤ intro on speaker strobe
11:48 The tone sounds a lot like NewageServerAlarms Original Intro
I love the intro awesome
My Hero !
you should consider doing a system test with system sensor voice evacuation and nbg-12l's
Definitely
For system test 29th installed the special alert advance
Probably sometime soon
You should make a system test of Simplex 4903-9219s.
The horn strobe outside didn’t sound very happy
That’s what it sounds like when a four wire horn is coded to wheelock sync
those are def 80s. Very nice vid
They can't be from the 80s, ADA was introduced in roughly 1981 and mandates clear strobes.

I found it from nick’s mad science

Very period-appropriate voice system! What's your voice evac / amplifier setup?
Thanks! MP3 modules and a cheap amplifier module.
I see the holes on it. You said that they did a bad job, so I kind of agree with you. Trypophobia holes
Love it
Does the Strobe/speaker get effected by the shower steam??
Nope
Nah, wheelock makes their fire alarms vandal proof.
sounds like the wheelock hornstrobe is kinda glitching
That’s just how horns sound on wheelock sync

Honeywell rebranded wheelock MT horn/strobes

have do you install a fire alarm system?
It’s hard to explain in one comment. I just got a panel and wired several devices to that panel

The clear strobe mandate came much later
I suggested the idea for this lol
there has been an emergency reported in the building leave the building immediately use market stairway and exit do not use elevator
