12:00 I visited my local Tesla dealer yesterday and their parking lot was overflowing with cars. That is in stark contrast to the empty lot at the end of December 2023. I think it is safe to say that at the moment Tesla is NOT selling every car they make.
Funny to see all the mental gymnastics done by Dave to somehow justify all of Elon's stupid decisions. Who needs a PR department when you have army like Dave.

Kerbside 7kw charger cost 50p/kw and noticed a story on Zap map that kerbside are introducing a great new overnight rate. I looked into the details and laughed at the 45p/kw rate. Still more than a top price Tesla supercharger.
Nice update and the advancement of EV's and Ai is massively underrated by many and will be a huge surprise when they start to appear in more and more numbers. Legacy car makers are also relying on what they have always done and times have changed, again far more rapidly than they foresaw.
AI is not a mature technology in so many respects, as our IT manager said, only use it in the same way as you would use the office junior to perform the task, some of the results will be laughable. ( and they were)

Are you happy with it, would you upgrade, or change, or buy a different model if you did it now ? thanks for any thoughts you might have.

Totally disagree Dave, sacking the super charger team was most likely (IMO) a spiteful decision made to make a point internally that "no one was safe". Sacking those who are managing ongoing installations and upgrades, etc, just so they can cull the lot is mismanagment at best and not a good business decision, regadless of what the "chosen one" has achived in the past and what his flock chose to believe.
The BBC were certainly NOT interested in the facts when they did a face to face interview with Elon. Following that interview I unsubscribed from BBC iPlayer and cancelled my TV Licence

Can't Agree on your Ford plan, they would be better off not selling anything. There are massive fines £15,000 per car under the target which is 22% of sales this year, rising to 28% next year and 52% in 5 years time. It's not worth them trading if they don't sell any EVs.

Is a public product launch (e.g Cybertruck) not advertising? Indeed, you do advertising for Tesla in each of your videos (Tesla good, Legacy auto bad, Elon good, othet CEOs bad, etc.) ...
Hi Dave, I have always enjoyed watching your video and look forward to them every week. I realise you are die hard Tesla fan boy and that doesn't necessarily put me off even though I don't share your enthusiasm. But I think you have crossed the line of impartiality in my mind when you tried to justify why Elon sacked the whole supercharger team. Your argument is nothing more than speculation and no different to the raving and ranting you made about Reuter. I hope your Friday news can maintain a degree of common sense. Thanks
Tesla is not selling everything it makes, one reason for the stock market selling Tesla stock and lowering its value is the simple fact that their inventory has grown, as has Rivian and Lucid. BYD is dumping government subsidised cars on the European market and their domestic EV market has stagnated. The SMMT doesn't share your optimism (or is it copium?}, either.The Cybertruck is not a truck, it's a vanity project. In a recent test, it went 85 miles towing a large trailer before needing a recharge because its battery was at 6%. The comparison vehicle, a diesel Ram (Stellantis), towing the exact same type of trailer, had used less than a quarter of a tank AND it cost less to top up the Ram than to replenish the Tesla, which cost over $100k because it's one of the Foundation series. And yes, they rust!
The problem legacy auto faces is not just disruption by BEVs. If that were true, your prescription for legacy auto would make sense. And in 5 years, they could be ready to compete.
But as you obliquely pointed out, another disruption is unfolding: smart cars. Legacy auto has no institutional strength for that. Nor the culture. They all outsource. Ford complains that the software in their vehicles is developed and owned by 50 different vendors. They can't integrate it, and they can't create it themselves.
The third wave of disruption is next-level manufacturing tech. Tesla leads. Legacy auto is, for the most part, unable to follow.
That's *three* major disruptions. Legacy auto is failing on all three - and I don't think 5 years is going to be enough to show a turnaround for these OEMs.
Tell your viewers that Open to all Tesla chargers will charge a Tesla at 220 kW but averages around 160 kW but a non Tesla only seems to get about 50 kW sometimes a lot less. Don't use a Tesla Supercharger if you don't have a Tesla. It will be slow for you. LOL
Utter nonsense. I have had over 140 kw charging rate at Tesla chargers for an MG4! Someone has been watching too many McMaster videos!

Humans will be as the redundant as the horse and cart by 2050. Robots will have taken over most jobs. A.I. Is moving fast. Robo Taxis then Cleaners Jobs that humans don't want to do. Then Jobs that Humans want to do, but a robot will be cheaper. Skynet is closer than we think. Don't wish for things you may regret, what you get.
You claim to know the reasoning behind each of Elon's actions. Your claims would be more believable if they were supported by on-screen sources. Am I missing something - perhaps an episode in which you explained some supernatural ESP connection with the mind of Elon?
This episode seemed less like news and balanced analysis and more like emotionally motivated reasoning. (Apologetics of the Church of Electric Jesus, Elon Musk, perhaps?) Apparently Elon has never made a wrong decision and never changed his mind after observing negative consequences of his own poor decisions. Your frantic gesticulation while lacing together disparate unsupported claims to support non sequitur aguments for Electric Jesus' behaviour makes me think even you are a little unsure of your religion. Sources would make your claims more convincing to you and to viewer skeptics!

I honestly can't see why you rave on about Tesla. They are in decline. The early adopters have put sales up and the public has moved on. The whole EV is not booming like you keep saying it is.
