Ms Jinne, I reuse the ketchup bottle from DollarTree Tree, once it is empty, I fill it with olive oil , so when I cook, I squirt a little olive oil in pan to use without using too much oil. The squeeze top is good to control how much oil I use. Just thought I would share my idea.
Great haul! I was at my DT recently and they were reallly stocked up on the food, especially the beans, rice, and packets of tuna, chicken, and chili (Hereferd's). I use the chili with the La Sierra refried beans ... also at DT ... to make burritos. Add a little cheese, heat and you have a quick meal or snack. I like the pouches becsuse you can refrigerate leftovers without dirtying up extra containers. Thanks for sharing your finds!
I love those ginger chews! I usually buy mine at Dollar General for $1 but they only have plain. The lemon ones are my favorite but I pay more for them. I'll have to look the next time I get to a Dollar Tree. I went to my local grocery store this afternoon and wanted to cry over some of the prices. I left several things I wanted to get because they were so expensive. I always wonder how young families are making it. Thanks for your videos! I always enjoy seeing what you get.
You got some good items today. Those ginger chews especially! Thank you for sharing. That blouse is a beautiful color and looks very pretty on you! Have a blessed evening. Tina ❤❤❤😊😊😊
Oven mitts are good things to have in your garage/woodworking shop in case something gets hot or catches on fire. I keep sanitary pads and a couple of mitts near my table saw. You just never know, right?
Great haul! I went to two grocery stores today. Only extras for pantry I bought was 2- dukes mayo, 4 cans beef and chicken broths, 2 better than bouillon condensed bouillon’s, t.paper, paper towels, 2 laundry soaps and 1 dishwasher soap. The rest was dog and cat food and treats, 5 butters for freezer and reg. Grocery items for the week. It’s so expensive to shop anymore!
I shop for groceries about every 6 to 8 weeks, so sticker shock is inevitable for me. I hit the local grocery store a few days ago & I found something worth stocking up on... The BIG cans of Red Gold petite diced tomatoes with green chilies for .69 cents per can. There was on 3 left on the shelf, so I snagged all 3. Those cans are either 24 or 28 ounces each. I was quite happy to find them. I also found bargains on sliced deli/lunch meats. 22 ounce boxes of shaved ham & shaved turkey for $3.99. I didn’t stock up on them. I got only 1 of each. We also had chicken leg quarters for .39 cents per pound or $3.90 for a 10 lb bag of leg quarters. That's all the 'bargains' that I found on this particular shopping trip.
Very nice haul! My husband is crazy for the DT ginger snaps, if I can find them I bet he’ll love the ginger chews. Your store is superior to our, or you hit it on a good day!?! Actually going into civilization today so I’m going to try my luck at Dollar Tree. Thanks!❤️🇺🇸
heck I eat it with PeanutButter and toast now!... lol... love the stuff... I also mix with PeanutButter and freeze dry them... they are called fluffernutters... thanks for the video... stay safe and healthy... Deb from SD
Nice haul. I went to Dollar Tre today myself. They were low on the herring tins. I found that mine had more health items. I ALMOST picked up picked up the mitts, but I got a lot of the potholders with silicon when they had them before. No oats today, but more jams and as always, I picked up A1 sauce. College Grandson living here was looking for salty snacks, so I got some there. I found more jars of giardiniera, which I think will be good when fresh veggies are not available.
@tonette6592 Yes. So many people are turned off by it. My husband makes fun of me when I offer it to him. I love that I can eat something healthy for such a great price.
Thanks for sharing your pantry stock up, I always enjoy them. I have started buying the hash browns after seeing your videos, they are really good, and I use them in breakfast casserole too. We like the sloppy joe sauce too. I am going to look for the ginger chews, never had them, but they sound delicious. On the jet puffed marshmallow cream we use it on peanut butter sandwiches too. But then we grilled the sandwich like a grilled cheese. I think its called a fluffer nutter sandwich.
I was born in New England and you just brought up some memories of my childhood. Fuffernutter sandwiches and my mom would make apple crisp! Do you have a video of making a crisp with Thrive Life ingredients?
@@HomesteadCorner -Jinne, I would absolutely love that! I just bought a can of Thrive Life peaches and I would love to make a crisp with them. I don’t have any of my mom’s recipes but this is freeze dried foods.
Went to the Dollar Tree after seeing this video to get the ginger chews, my husband likes them. Unfortunately they didn’t have them. Food section was a little picked over except the chips, soda and pretzels. The canned vegetables are usually higher at DT for $1.25 when grocery stores sell them often much cheaper. They finally had the eyeglass repair kits, only 3 so took two, they have been out of them for a couple of months. We always keep one in our travel bag too. Friend told me several oats company spray their oats with roundup herbicide at harvest so check the brand you plan to buy, roundup is very toxic. Thanks for your video.
Hi Jenny I just love your videos. They have helped a lot especially those things that we never think of. We had a severe ice storm a few years ago that left us without electricity and water for 31 days and roads impassable for over a week. It’s a given usually every year at least 2-3 times being without power for a week or two but that was a doozy. I was used to it so I thought I was good but I found wholes. We always keep plenty of homecanned and storebought foods we were fine on that but not enough batteries, candles if I hadn’t had plenty kerosene lamps and lanterns and extra kerosene we would have been completely in the dark.I used a plunger in a 5 gallon bucket to wash our clothes. Thankfully we heat with a wondercoal/wood burner so I can cook. I notice you buy the small bottles of spices if you have an Amish bulk store near they usually have great prices on bulk spices, herbs. The one I go to is a 15 minute drive to and I can buy 4 ounces to 5 lbs at great prices, flour, wheat, barley, oats , yeast, sucanat in 50 lb bags and as small as 5 lbs. one of the best gadgets I found was a kit to to turn mason jars into kerosene lamps for $1.19 I grabbed 20. I also go to an Amish discount store I got butter for $1.75 lb I stocked up and canned it by your video thank you so much. I can usually buy a 5 lb box of restaurant bacon in the box it’s so good for $11.99 just thought I would share those ideas we need to help each other in these trying times. Thank you again for the informative videos. GOD bless yall

Great idea! I love to recycle items! Thanks
I use the bottles for pancake mix. It makes it easy to shape the pancakes and also to keep any unused mix for the next morning.
Thanks! Great tip!
That's a great idea! Thanks for sharing!
Wait, you didn't get matches or lighters? Oh no! 😂😂😂
The ginger chews are a great find! Good to have for car or plane trips to calm queasy tummies and nausea.

Sloppy Joe's over baked potato halves is also good.

You have a great dollar tree! I’m jealous. 😂❤

yes!! We keep ove-gloves near our woodstoves, you can even reach in the fire and pull stuff out with those bad boys. ;)
I always pick up the hungry jack potato’s when I see them my family likes them
Great pantry stock up haul yippee ❤❤❤👍👍👍😊😊😊
Always look forward to your videos! Could you possibly make a video on how you make breakfast casserole? 😊
I sure can! 💕🇺🇸

I put a scoop of cream cheese on those canned pears. Makes a nice light dessert.
I love the lemon and ginger chews
It's been a while since Dollar Tree has had the quick oats in Florida. I keep looking, they are delicious.😊
It was quite a while here also, but these showed up about a month ago, and have been off and on in the store.
I've never tried the ginger chews. You found some good deals. Thanks for sharing.
I was at our Dollar Tree the other day. They have garden stuff out.
I just saw the pots and a few hangers, still no seeds where we are, but I'm on the hunt for them!!
My dollar store hasn't had the quick oats in a long time.
I’ve never seen those quick oats at my dollar tree. But I will be keeping an eye out for them. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks, Jinne. Great haul. I love Ginger candy, too. Will be looking for them at my DT.
You have gorgeous hair😊

Love a fluffernutter sandwich and I'm no kid! Lol
Good haul, Jinne. I'm going to look for the ginger chews to try.
Great haul Jinne. That blouse is a beautiful color on you. Blessings to all.

@@tonette6592 The herring is delicious! I add chopped onions, tomatoes, and a splash of vinegar. Yummy!
@@domari221 I like herring.Even as a kid, liked dried salt herring, but I have not seen it in many decades. Those little tins are full of protein!
@tonette6592 Yes. So many people are turned off by it. My husband makes fun of me when I offer it to him. I love that I can eat something healthy for such a great price.
Hello from Texas!
Hello 👋
good haul, i need to go get some more things myself

That's what I'm trying to do right now , awesome stuff , THANK YOU JINNE
Would like to also see the pear muffins 😋
Thank you for mentioning names for the food items.Like having brands to ask for in our area.❤
I was born in New England and you just brought up some memories of my childhood. Fuffernutter sandwiches and my mom would make apple crisp! Do you have a video of making a crisp with Thrive Life ingredients?
I do not have that for a video, but I can make one! 💕

Great food haul from DT. Thank you for sharing. 😊
Could we use these hashbrowns for potato soup?
Definitely! Those hash browns are great for lots of things!
And hashbrown casserole.
Yes, Anything that you would use small pieces of potatoes in, they are perfect!
Wow on the ginger chews those are expensive when you get them at a herbal shop
My husband is always burning my oven mitts,
I've lit a few on fire myself... I can't be trusted alone with the grill. 😂
Those small mitts are fabulous
Those oven mittens are worthless unless you double them together, because I got burnt using them. I will never buy them again! 😭😭😭😭
Good to know
Mine melted and if water gets on mine, I burn my hand.
Found you again!!! So glad!! 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉

Thanks for the video. Gonna see if my store has some of this.
Great items..
I always find ginger chews at Ace hardware lol
LOL, I usually get them at the hardware store as well, hard to find everywhere else.
Thank you ❤
Thanks for sharing, that's a nice haul except for those oven mitts ❤❤❤
Put sloppy Joes on top of those noodles. It's so good - add chopped onions and cheese on top and it tastes like Steak and Shake's spaghetti
Carbs and sugar. Nope.
