The Dollar Tree was GREAT when everything was actually $1.00. Now, Dollar Tree is just another Dollar General or Family Dollar. They ruin everything good.
Happy Hello Danno and Jess! The changes at dollor tree are actually sad. It was such a great store and I got a lot of great stuff there and it was so easy to shop there, 5 items 5 dollars plus tax, great when on a party or cleaning supply budget. In my opinion dollor tree does not exist anymore and that is truely a shame.
You find a lot of gems sometimes. Their beauty items are much much cheaper than anywhere else, even walmart! Global beauty has some amazing pickups and ill find some korean beauty products occasionally too
My best friend has cancer, and I've been using the storage containers to take meals over to her house as they are cheap and I don't care if I get them back. However one thing to not get is the containers with the grey tops and the vents in them. They do not stay sealed. I learned the hard way after getting about half a container of gravy down my front.
I didn't shop at Dollar General because the prices weren't clearly marked most of the time. Rarely shop at Dollar Tree now for same reason. Used to love shopping at DT.
I just wanna let you know I live in Lafayette Louisiana and we got nine to almost 10 inches of snow and we had a blizzard warning for the first time yesterday and it got down to 5° this morning. This is wild.
I’m in Atlantic Canada (where it’s beyond col) and we’ve been see😅ng the blizzards there and some other southern states. I was on Bourban Street many years ago. I just can’t believe the snow and cold you’re getting! It’s unreal!
@rosemarymccartney7934 let me guess, Florida is expecting the Northern States to come dig them out and rescue them just like during hurricane season..
I used to enjoy going to Dollar Tree, they have changed. The store could definitely use extra help with the unboxing. The one i go to is clean and neat, there is another that is absolutely chaotic!
I agree, Dollar Tree is having an identity crisis. If they fail to price each item individually, customers will increasingly become combative, finding mislaid items on the wrong shelves, $5 items on the $3 dollar shelves. A nightmare for staff members as well. Thanks Danno!
44 degrees and rainy in central West Coast of Florida. It's warmer than most everywhere else, but we're sub-tropical with banana trees, palm trees and citrus trees which can be seriously damaged or killed by these types of temps with the 30's being predicted on Friday. The wildlife is not too keen on it either. I know people without heaters in their houses because we're sub-tropical sunny Florida and ones in need of serious roof repairs (lots of blue tarps still) because of hurricane Milton letting all our heat out. Glad we're not in the panhandle! Everyone stay warm and safe!
Good morning, love DY but remember Dollar General has a lot of items still for $1. DG still has gallon of bleach for dollar. So make sure you go to DG for your bleach. Stay safe and warm during all this frigid weather.
It’s amazing that in the 70’s / 80’s we were all concerned with lead poisoning in / on items from China! Now folks buy this stuff freely without a care ~
I appreciate your chanel. Always helpful and informative. You cover a wide variety of items. I like that. Your Dollar Tree looks pretty good. Our Dollar Tree always looks like a tornado hit it. Thanks again for such a good review!
Last year I picked about 10 pounds of blue berries. I started making my own syrup. I just can't bring myself to buy store bought syrup unless it is pure maple syrup. I don't mean to sound like a syrup snob but it is so easy and good, especially when you make it with fresh picked berries.
I now buy just 2 things at $ Tree now. Toilet brushes and birthday/holiday cards. The rest isnt a deal around my house. I have an Amish store that sells seconds.
Definitely need to keep an eye out for all the different prices now. As long as they keep their $1.25 items I can live with it, but I’m not going for their more expensive items.
The only thing that has cut my trips to Dollar Tree is the frustration of filling my cart, but not being able to take the cart to my car. Many have those big poles that prevent them from leaving the store. Great way to incentivize people to cut their shopping by 75%.
A lot of people like to take the carts from the various dollar stores and leave them at the bus stops etc. I can't blame the stores those carts are expensive but I do agree it can be a hassle if you buy a lot.
Mary from Fla 1 mileish from 3 dollar trees.A tip if your looking for a something for under a plant the damaged chiped plate can be purchased at a discount in my area.I have gotten yard lites for 75c due to missing the bottom stake.
The cauliflower pasta is a good price at 1.25 compared to the normal 4.95+. This pasta is extremely filling compared to traditional pasta, that box makes four good sized portion.
Those coffee syrups are wonderful! I put them in my milk frothier and just as good as Starbucks . I love the Dollar Tree. Yes prices went up but we also have better products.
I went to my local dollar tree and I see the price changes also. Everything you said is correct. Thanks for your heads up. I did notice Valentines is on display, and they have Easter displays out also. Much to early to me. I'm in Toledo.
Your Dollar Tree is much better stocked than the one I returned to after more than 5 years. I am in a higher cost of living area, and the Dollar Tree always got hit hard, but some sections were just about bare! Hoping to get back there next month and find it better stocked. Wish they had a store in my county!
I completely agree with you on the everything was $1.25. We don’t need Family Dollar 2.0 to ruin the original business model. The Hungry Jack pancake mix with good quality syrup is the way to go. I got some at Dollar Tree the other day. I almost always buy pancake syrup at Kroger and it seems like there is always 1 brand is included in buy 5 or more.
UNRELATED..Danno thx so much for turning me on to the New York frozen BREADSTICKS...they were GREAT and just the flavor I was looking for. Never would have given them a 2nd look without your suggestion. Picked them up buy 1/1free at Publix. Thx again!!!!!
Wow 🥶it’s a’balmy’ 25°F here in the PNW! Stay safe stay warm everybody! Good morning everybody! :-) I agree with Denno and Jess, it’s sad that the dollar tree has to raise their prices the way they have in order to compete. Understandable but still kind of sad.
First time seeing you and enjoyed the video. I am with you on it was nice knowing that everything was one set price! I miss those days so much. I have been living in Canada for the past 24 years (originally from USA) and I have seen so many dollar stores go from being only $1 to all over the board with prices and it's frustrating. It was nice we had Dollar Tree at $1.25 each item here...but now they jacked the price up to be $1.50 to now most items are $1.75! Everything is intermingled and not many price stickers either! So aggravating when you think it's $1.25 and it turns out to be $1.75 instead!
I have stopped buying dry beans at DT because they are old, and take a long time to cook. Also the amount of beans in a bag, has been cut almost a 1/3 of what use to be.
Powder creamer is one of the weirdest priced items ever. Currently my Kroger has the 16 oz Coffee Mate for $5.79 so $5 is a deal, but the 35 oz on sale $4.99. But the strangest thing was before the cough cough at Publix the store brand creamer for 35 oz size was a dollar cheaper than the 16 oz size everyday. If remember right it was $3.59 for 16oz and 2.59 for 35 oz. I understand how larger size can be cheaper per ounce, but not for the whole larger container to be lower priced.
The containers of wipes have shrunk terribly at Dollar Tree. It is hard to find dried oxygen cleaner now. The canned herring is in short supply. You are young! Once upon a time, every item in every store (except produce) had a price stamped on it or a sticker on it with the price!
You got me curious about the coffee mate the same size container is $5.79 at Roundys. Roundys 18 count eggs in Waukesha Wisconsin currently $8.19 and unavailable. Yikes
They DEFINITELY have to stop calling themselves "Dollar" Tree. My husband and I hit our local Dollar Tree and always come out spending anything but a dollar in there!
I love Dollar Tree. There is a great selection of food containers and the only thing that I do not recommend are the big burrito. They are nothing but dough and very little filling.
I’m with you on the price difference. Where I live in North Central Texas, the DT store is smaller than that one & don’t have the Folgers coffee nor Coffee Mate creamer, which is alright with me I don’t use it.
Everything grocery is supposed to go up including eggs 35% and doubtful it'll be coming back down. A shortage is expected in fresh veggies, canned veggies and fresh fruit. That was the news today from the consumer reports and farmers. We don't have a Dollar Tree and not one near us. We used to get some good deals at one about an hours drive from us when we would be in that area.
Wow that is a great deal on Skinny syrups.i very rarely buy food at dollar tree. I buy crafts can’t beat the prices. You ever do a video on sales from crafts? I know Jessica likes to craft.
Up here in Canada we have Dollar Tree and Dollarama . Depending on what you want to buy , you are better off going to Walmart . All dollar stores are going up in price. Still like dollar stores for craft supplies
It's-10° below here in South western pa. Prices will only go up .starting Feb 1st the new president is enacting a 25%tariff on everything from Canada and Mexico with 25%+an additional 10% on everything from China. So I expect anything $1.25 will be close to $2.by April.
We just had a "new" dollar tree open up last year (was a 99 cent store) Huge store but they only keep it about half stocked, 6 months and half the shelves are empty. I did hear a couple of days ago that they are closing more stores in 2025 - some other retailers are closing also - last few of the Kmart are closing also. Big lots, heard on the local news that "some" of the stores were closing but the store we have was good (they lied)- big banners on our store that they are closing.
My local Dollar Tree has tons of empty shelves. It's a dense area and a very busy store. I wish they'd stock the store so I can buy stuff. I don't understand it. They're losing money by not stocking the store.
Some do not know but Dollar Tree is owned by the same corporation as own Family Dollar stores. So the differences may soon not be very big between each (plus Walmart, and Dollar General which are not affiliated with Dollar Tree but offer a lot of similar merchandise).
i know this may not sound nice but it is meant to be nice . the more i watch you two the more i enjoy you. a lot of the time it goes just the optimist. the old saying 'pretty is as pretty does.' sometimes pretty turns ugly but you guys seem to just get better and trust me here your 1st impression of me would not be too great either. anyway , please remain safe on those roads and we don't mind hanging out at your house at all. and yes i enjoy the fake you both seem happy with your life choices and hope it stays that way forever
The Dollar Tree was GREAT when everything was actually $1.00. Now, Dollar Tree is just another Dollar General or Family Dollar. They ruin everything good.

I love your DT cost comparisons/unit price conversions with the standard grocery store brands/sizes/prices. Makes it less confusing. Thanks!
I don't care for the Plus items. I don't go as much as I used to go.
I didn't shop at Dollar General because the prices weren't clearly marked most of the time. Rarely shop at Dollar Tree now for same reason. Used to love shopping at DT.

@@darleneprice6467yes I know it is so crazy but by Sunday it will be 70 degrees
I have a relative in Florida who got 5 inches.
@rosemarymccartney7934 let me guess, Florida is expecting the Northern States to come dig them out and rescue them just like during hurricane season..
Thank you for braving the cold! It’s single digits up here in Connecticut so I’m staying in the house! Shopping with you is always educational!
My favorite things at the Dollar Tree is the seasonal and yard decorations. Really love the cute decorations.
Northwest Ohio here. 2 degrees but the wind-chill is minus zero. Be safe out there folks. Thinking about the warm weather with bees and butterflies.
-2 Ohio brrr 😢
I used to enjoy going to Dollar Tree, they have changed. The store could definitely use extra help with the unboxing. The one i go to is clean and neat, there is another that is absolutely chaotic!
Thank Danno, very appreciative of your DT and other stores shopping comparisons!
I agree, Dollar Tree is having an identity crisis. If they fail to price each item individually, customers will increasingly become combative, finding mislaid items on the wrong shelves, $5 items on the $3 dollar shelves. A nightmare for staff members as well. Thanks Danno!
That did happen to me. I agree that everything needs to have a price on it. I do not go there as often as I did before.
i have 2 dollar trees close to me,,, each one carries a little different things,,,,, i go to them both,,, glad to have them...

Thanks Danno for the Dollar Tree walk through!! I haven't seen too many of the more expensive items at my local stores!!
The 2 boom earbuds aren’t bad. I use them at work when I go into the office. Great walkthrough.
My $Tree has scanners - so at least you can price check. I agree with you Danno - missing the Real Dollar Tree
Danno and Jess - you guys are amazing. The Dollar Tree stores in North CA are not well stocked.
Last year I picked about 10 pounds of blue berries. I started making my own syrup. I just can't bring myself to buy store bought syrup unless it is pure maple syrup. I don't mean to sound like a syrup snob but it is so easy and good, especially when you make it with fresh picked berries.

Good Cold Morning ☀️❤Danno and Jess❤❤❤
I only buy greating cards there now.
Greeting cards and bathroom spray for me.
They need to call it DTPlus. Everything is a dollar+
I used to go to 💵 🌳 every month but now I go every 3 months.
We use to go with grandkids alot .
Not anymore
They should call it the $1-3-5 store.
But I like the other suggestions, The Dollar Plus Store.

I would love to buy dinner settings from the dollar tree, but I worry they're not food worthy.
Snowed in( really icy roads) in Georgia. 24 degrees at 10:30 in the morning

Good morning Danno
My only complaint with DT is they kind of rushed the Spring stuff. In this cold I'm glad they're selling suet cakes. I wish they had wild bird seed.
Dollar tree owns Deals and Family Dollar
Has anyone noticed they are not getting a lot of products like they used to? I'm in CA and we haven't had paper plates, cups or meds in a while.
I live in Northern CA and the shelves are not very full when I go. Disappointing
Great video danno. I really enjoyed seeing all the products and prices.
Dollar tree was good when it was 1.00 even 1.25 but now not so much. They are on par with dollar general

16:40 I like the shrimp egg rolls. Can’t find them in my DT right now.
