Hi there glad to have found you or should I say thanks YT for the recommendation, lol. Just wanted to share this hack. The Chinese lady named Mindy, I think, showed how to keep green onions in your frig longer. And it works like a dream. We eat alot and I'll buy 4 to 6 bundles (yes eat em on everything)! Take a wide mouth jar or even a base that will fit on a shelf in your frig. And put about an inch of water in the bottom, add the onions then take a ziploc bag and put it over the onions and container, zipping the sides. They last for a month and are as fresh as the day you bought them. Enjoying your content and you will now be another channel I'll watch when I make my grocery list. After all y'all are influencers, lol. Blessings to y'all!
Welcome 🤗 Yes so glad you’re here! I have done this too. Well not with the ziplock bag just a jar with a bit of water. At the moment my oldest did that with the green onion and our romaine lettuce 🥬 in a cup on the counters. ❤️
Apple cider vinegar and garlic powder and honey mix together store in jar keep refrigerator take every morning and before you go to bed everyone can take it This will keep you well
New subscriber..FYI if you wrap your Lettuce (unwashed until you use it) in Aluminum foil, it will last for weeks!! Same w any cucumbers 🥒 💓...if you take your Strawberries 🍓 and Blueberries 🫐 and put them unwashed in a Container and a damp paper towel, they will last so much longer ❤❤❤❤
If you have stinky laundry, the white vinegar is great. It helps neutralize the odors. It also helps soften clothes. I also can't afford organic, they put that label on things and it seems like the price almost doubles. My daughter is on an overnight oats kick and they are so simple to make at home. I use 1/2 cup of old fashioned oats, some maple syrup, 3/4 cups of any milk and a pinch of salt. When she wants to eat it, she can add any fresh fruit and she seems to enjoy it. If you have dried fruit, I find adding it when you make the oats, leaves the fruit rehydrated but a tiny bit of extra milk is needed. I've also learned to stir everything very well before leaving it overnight. And I like that I can make enough for a few days and it stays good in the refrigerator.
Absolutely, Thank you for sharing a recipe. You’re so right I’ve also learned to stir everything well before leaving it overnight. I’m glad your daughter is enjoying it too! 😊
@annfromma8456- the whole post from you is amazing! TY for the tips! My now 26 year old daughter was just asking me for tips of what she can put in the laundry bc my 6 yr old Grandson is still having "accidents" at night. Poor girl has so much laundry and is recently a Single (Divorced) Mama...she's doing her BEST & I hate she's so far away!! I will give her these tips to try & the Overnight Oats tip sounds delicious ❤
@mimi0424 I like easy and I like frugal. Any "trick" I find that helps, I'll give it a shot. I make my own soup mixes because it's cheaper and I can put in what we will eat. I make a lot of my own salad dressings for the same reason. I make a lot of my own sauces, spice blends, etc. because I can adapt them to what we like and omit those things we don't. But I've been doing this for close to 30 years. Like everything else, there's definitely a learning curve.
@mimi0424 Oh, and the overnight oats...my daughter says it's like having dessert for breakfast. She hates hot oatmeal but adores the overnight oats. Lol, we do the best we can, right?
I think you do an amazing job. Raising good kids, and feeding them good quality foods it wonderful. I love the fact they are being raised in Church. Keep up the good work Mama.
Thank you so much, Yes there are season when we’re sick and we can’t make it but then the kids and I miss it so much! Church is a Big part of my life and my family! Without God in our life it feels even more difficult so I want God to be the center of our family as long as I have my kids in our home ❤️✨ Raise a child in the way they should go and they won’t depart from it! God is so good. 😊
Im 62 years old and have big health issues and live on disability. I try buying extra each month in case one month im too sick to get out. God bless you all, from Louisiana.
This is the first video I have ever watched from your channel. Wonderful haul. Love seeing all of the fresh fruits and veggies for your family. We also mix in beans with our meat for extra protein and fiber and it stretches more for nachos, tacos, etc. I also love that you are doing what’s best for your budget. When you are ready, Costco has the best prices on real maple syrup. We also buy a lot of their frozen fruit there for smoothies and smoothie bowls when we can. Great job!
Yes 🙌 Thank you, and welcome to the channel. 🤗 I do go to Costco just not this haul, love Costco but I also like Stocking Up at different Stores for different reasons 😊 in time we will be able to buy that syrup just not right now❤️✨
I am new to your channel and I am impressed with how you feed your children. I agree, no apologies necessary. Just because there are people and other TH-cam channels who think that you should eat overpriced organic food that is the best doesn’t mean that it is better for your family and besides, many of us grew up without it and turned out just fine.
I'm 71 years old and live alone. I like living alone because I can buy and make what I want and like without anyone turning their noses up about it. I actually like making what my mom use to call, "concoctions" because I just make up things to cook. Unless I totally have to, I don't go by any recipe. Surprisingly enough, almost all of them taste good.
Thanks you for sharing ❤️ I Totally understand that when I was a little girl, my dad was in and out of prison so my grandpa would watch us, while my mama would work at the hospital but eventually he passed away so eventually, it was just my sister and I while my mom was working my sister would always talk me into cooking. I was the younger one so I would always come up with something. I would take tomato soup and cut up carrots and celery, and maybe put a can of green beans in it and basically make my own version of vegetable soup and I would do the same thing with other things. They didn’t always taste the best but I totally understand not following a recipe and just being creative. I look back now as an adult. Tell my kids these stories too. It was definitely a very lonely time of my life. I always miss my mom while she worked.❤️
I like to stock up on Nutrient dense foods as they are on sale. Things like dried lentils, beans, brown rice, quinoa, chia and flax seeds, pumpkin seeds, nuts, canned salmon, sardines, tuna, roast beef, chicken, ham, turkey, spam, Cans of chili, soups, beef stew, canned beans, Freeze dried foods in #10 cans like eggs, potatoes, butter, honey, black bean burger mixes , peanut butter, biscuit mixes. These are all foods you can rehydrate with water.. Emergency preparedness to me means do you have back up water, back up cook stove and fuel, fire wood, pots for cooking, food, backup generator to keep your refrig and freezer going. Fresh f ruits, veggies and meat and some sort of snack food is great but think about a real emergency of no heat, no power and such.
Great video! I really miss having younger kids around, im a nanny of two. First one is 13 and the second one has just turned 3, but lives 6 hours from me. You have a beauriful family ❤
@MyFullHouse2011 i try to be! I love it. The 13yr old is my daughters step son, i treat him exactly the same as my biological granddaughter. I just wouldnt be able to do nannying any other way. My daughter loves him so much. Im so proud of her, she treats him so well...she is not going to have any children herself...so, that makes him extra special, to her and to me. I love, love, love spending time with them. Your content is great! Keep it up x
I finally my pantries and freezers totally restocked about a week ago. Due to my income, it took me almost 3 months to do. I feel so blessed that I got it done just as winter set in. Now starting next month, I'll only be getting what I use during a normal month. I'm also going to Sam's Club on the 7th of February to stock up on my paper products so then I won't have to worry about them either. I will be dividing my paper products with my daughter. My daughter is disabled and she is in a wheelchair full time. She is raising my 3 granddaughters. My daughter has Muscular Dystrophy. It's very hard to get out in the winter. She does a pick up order at Walmart for her groceries. She doesn't live here in town so her boyfriend who does, takes her groceries to her. She does all of her monthly shopping only once a month except for milk and bread. She doesn't really have the extra cash for big purchases of paper products. It's just easier for me to get them and divide them with her. The Sam's Club is over an hour drive from here. I like to go there every other month except for the winter time. I will go in February depending on the weather. I won't go back until at least April or May.
We are really blessed that we live close to all the stores, (Sam's, Aldi, Grocery Outlet, Dollar Tree, Trader Joes, Walmart, Target, Albertsons) so I can really work the sales and low prices. No Costco for us because more expensive membership, long lines and no scan and go.
I’m by myself but I still like to be stocked up on groceries and toiletries. I don’t like to run out in case I don’t have the money to get it at that time
I think you did a wonderful day. I’m a nana on a fixed income and I also do the best I can on my budget. I have four grands that I pick up from school daily so I get some of the same items as you did for them to snack on. We can only do what we can do in this economy. ❤
These prices make me cry in Canadian. 700 is nothing in Canada. Alidi seem like a win in America. You all are very lucky to have many ways to buy food. We don’t have much here. 2 companies own 90% of the grocery store not much competition. I like to keep my house stocked in case money runs tight one day. Working on a years worth will be good.
I love that fruit mix it’s very yummy. Great price on the ground beef I pay more then that for a smaller pack at Walmart. Our Aldi went out of business but I can drive 40 minutes to get to one that I do every so often. We also love the apple juice. I thought my family. Was the only ones crazy about bread and butter pickles.
You could probably put the pizzas and few other things from the second freezer and put in the top freezer which seemed to have enough room. Save on energy bill...
I also freeze my berries if they arent getting eaten. It seems like they are easier that way when I make Protein smoothies.. Those peppers are huge. I made Stuffed Peppers (i do NOT cook my Meat before. Idk if thats a young ppl thing??😂 im 48 😂..but I take the ground beef or what's you like Turkey etc..and then I mix it with dehydrated onions or i grate onions bc some don't like it..but its great flavor..(then with the extra pepper pieces I dice them and freeze them for eggs/omelets or even meatloaf) add some uncooked rice..about 1 cup..& some.jarlic (garlic in a jar 😂) and I add some sauce to the bottom of the pan and then over the peppers..I use Hunts sauce in the can an add my own Oregano..jarlic..onions garlic powder, black pepper..I do not salt anything as everything has sodium in it.. .actually Stuffed Pepper Soup is a great meal you can make in a crockpot etc. ..theres so many good recipes...❤❤❤❤ you have a great haul! ❤
Can’t wait to watch. I have to go some time in the morning and I’m dreading the prices. The last time u went and showed the prices of eggs. So I’m preying that u don’t start saying prices r going up. And Wednesday is the day to go here.
Thank you! 😊 I can’t recall today what egg prices were. So you let me know when you get back if you remember to look. They did have some good deals today when I was there. Good luck friend!
I'm feeding 4 teenagers ages 16, 17, 18 and 19. I stock up for at least a month but they are eating it in 2 weeks. I'm in your shoes. I have to put food in my room on shelves and have to ask me if they want something in there. I then go with them to make sure no sneaking is going on. I also have like 30, 5 pound buckets in my closet of salt, pepper, flour sugar oatmeal pasta noodles. Kids won't get in those, too much effort, lol!!!
You’re an amazing mom!!! ❤️ I totally get it when you messaged me this I started giggling because I had just gone grocery shopping and I was organizing that shelf that I have in my room that you’re talking about too great minds think alike. We’re doing the best we can with the money, we have trying to make it work and juggle it all. You’re doing a great job.❤️✨ your kids will appreciate you later in life. I feel like they don’t see everything now, but it always makes full circle.
You do your best for the money you have life is so hard with kids and you keep your chin up know your doing the best for your kids and all time you can give them a meal your done well love Kathy from Australia 🇦🇺
As a Brit this is something that always surprises me. How normal is this in the USA. is it more to do with a large family and living miles from a supermarket or what,? I feel most people here in the UK do a weekly shop and do a little top up during the week. Was interesting to watch.
I'm Irish and this fascinates me too. I do a weekly shop, just enough of what we need and by the next shop my cupboards are practically empty. Plus I wouldn't have space to store that much food. But I still love watching all these types of vids 😅
You did a good job on this EMG stalk up haul. I like going to Aldi for several of the breads too. They have tasty & good prices on breads. Love the food there. Ill have to try the pizza. Never had them. Stay well. Hope youre all doing fine.
Apple cider vinegar and garlic powder and honey store in jar in refrigerator you can àdd more honey mix it well take every morning and every day before bed everyone can take it keeps you well
Do u think Aldis has better prices on fruits and veggies than the big bulk stores like Sam’s and Costco? Especially buying for as many mouths to feed that u do?
Honestly I think it all depends on the time you go to any of those stores. Each store has different sales sometimes Costco wins sometimes it’s Aldi’s. I don’t have a membership to Sam’s Club, so I’m not sure about them. I think it truly just depends on the sales for the store and their shipment because I’ve also gone to Costco and haven’t been happy with the selection And then there’s times I go and I’m really happy with it so I just think it depends on the time that you go. That’s a hard question to truly answer because if I go to Aldi‘s and I buy a whole case of blueberries like I did today and they were on sale to me that was a better deal than Costco hope that helps.😊
Love Aldi and their deals. I miss their pre-2020 prices. They were amazing and could stretch a dollar more than anywhere else. I love Sam’s for produce and meats. I have both Sam’s and Costco memberships because I like different things from different places. But I use my Sam’s more because the prices on regular everyday stuff is the best that I have been able to find.
This is great to do and i am also doing this because you never know what happens. The world is crazy and so is the economy. I stock up alot when things are on sale. Thanks for sharing your haul with us.
Thank you for sharing. And thank you for saying what most of us mamas want to say, we are doing the best we can for the time, I’d also love to be able to buy all the good and organic things but it’s just not possible all the time. What part of the US are you in? I’m in Tennessee so I like to compare prices with other pasrts of the country. God bless!
Im not sure of costco has this or not but you can buy a whole roll 10lbs of hamburger meat for 40 dollars at sams club!! Hot dogs are amazing deal at sams too. Under 10 dollars for 24 pack!! Even there steaks you can buy it whole and tell the butcher to cut it for you there and they will. Pork chops too you can buy tenderloin and tell them to cut it for you. I got whole pork tenderloin for under 25 dollars!! Over 20 peices. Way better prices then the individual ones that are already packed!! Even the applesauce pouches wayyy better deal at sams then Costco you can get 32 pouches for 15 dollars!! Bacon you can get a 3 pack for 12 bucks. I would highly recommend switching over to sams!! Plus you can get money back to and the best part scan and go!!
Love it!! Yes this year I do plan on getting a Sam’s membership. I love the scan and go out pick up order that’s where it would be helpful! 😊❤️ Thanks for all the great ideas!
@MyFullHouse2011 your welcome. These what i have came down to buying with how expensive things are. Meat bulking is the way to go. You can get catch some meats on sale too and even clearance out. Which any little bit helps in this economy.
I don't know about your area, but we can get three pound chubs of ground meet for $8.97 at our local Kroger. I am talking about the rolls of ground beef. We never used to buy those in the past, I guess because you can't see the beef. It has always been good beef and we have never had a problem. If you have any of the Kroger chains in your area, I would wait for sales on their ground beef and buy big roll packs. It is 3 lb rolls for the price I mentioned. Ihave seen bigger packs, but haven't followed if that size goes on sale. We are a family of three, so not needing the quantity that you would. We save so much money on these. I know in some areas they are called Fred Meyer or other names. I think they can be seen as an expensive store but if you use them to shop the deals they have awesome prices on deals.
Your food prices are really high compared to here in the UK, food prices have shot up so high for us but it looks so extreme over there for daily essentials I've literally just come across your video by chance and really enjoyed it ❤
I don't think it's a huge difference but I see silly stuff like spaghetti from Aldi here is 28p I'm not sure what that is in us currency @@lorraine-bluebrit2242
I don’t know where u live but I live in OH and we have what we call Lockers. They r places that farmers and hunters take their animals to be slaughtered. I don’t like that word. Anyway I can go into our local locker and he will take an order from me on some bulk meat of my choosing without having to buy a whole animal or half of one. They have people that bring their animals in to sell him directly and then he breaks it down into various cuts. I found someone’s TH-cam page that had a website to go to and see who was in my area that sold meat and dairy farms who sold milk products, fresh product right from their farms and I was so surprised by the amount of farmers and others like dairy farmers egg farms cattle farms, now pig farms were a little different because of the strict laws on pig farms period. So we get most of our beef and pork from the lockers and now I get fresh eggs and milk from local farmers. And the taste and health benefits have really proven to be a big difference in our life. Sorry that took so long.
Oh no Thank you love comments like these! All the knowledge I just learned I appreciate it! I will have to look into that Yes I’d love to buy raw milk I know that’s controversial but I’ve heard so many amazing health benefits. So I’m interested 😊
@ I’m in a little town about 40 miles north of Columbus called Marysville. There is a website a lady posted once where u can go and put in where u live and it will bring up local farmers, and such that sell produce, dairy, meat, whole grains, eggs etc I’ll look and see if I can find that web. Now days I don’t know if they r still called Lockers I’ll see what ours r listed under.
@ I just remembered a TH-cam channel I follow and they r located up North too but they r more toward Cleveland by a town called Wadsworth. The channel is called Bearded Butchers. It started out the same way I think it’s just really a meat processing facility. Lockers were name I guess country folk called them because how small towns came to have their own mini “Meat Processing Business”
@@ditackettI'm in Texas, and we have a meat packing business that sells meat to the public also. When I was a kid we called it the locker, because it had actual lockers for rent. We would take our frozen produce and store it there for a small monthly fee. We grew large amounts of field peas and corn that we stored there.
My son only shops at Harris Teeter and his weekly bill for a family of 7 is over $700.00 .. so you did magnificent for your family for some reason he’s got it in his head that Aldi ‘s foods all expired and he will not shop there…. His loss, I love Aldi’s …I shop there all the time but, it’s just one person so I don’t need to stock up.
@@MyFullHouse2011 yeah they have really good stuff in there. Publix too for the buy 1 get 1 free stuff too. Yeah its more expensive but the quality fornthe fruit is the best that i have found that stays fresh for days and not rot
Please don't feel that you have to explain. It's not like you're only buying gummi bears and pop. Let the haters hate, they will no matter what you do/buy.

I’ve not tried with Strawberries,, but as you say Blueberries freeze fine. Whenever I see them cheap at Aldi I always buy 3 pks, eat 1 & freeze 2.
That’s a great idea, always a good feeling to add when you can. 😊

I’m by myself but I still like to be stocked up on groceries and toiletries. I don’t like to run out in case I don’t have the money to get it at that time
Absolutely, I totally get it!
Great haul! You are doing a great job giving your family lots of good foods.
Thank you ❤️
I think you did a wonderful day. I’m a nana on a fixed income and I also do the best I can on my budget. I have four grands that I pick up from school daily so I get some of the same items as you did for them to snack on. We can only do what we can do in this economy. ❤
Yes, you're right! I appreciate the encouragement. 😊 We're all in this together.
First time watching you great job
Thank you Wendy! Welcome to the channel! 😊 Glad you enjoyed the video❤️✨
My kids loved the freeze dried fruit and would go thru them like crazy. Then I found some at the dollar store and it saved me a ton of money.
That's so smart! I love finding deals. 😊
I make overnight oats love them .I put almond milk in mine along with peanut butter and chia seeds and honey
Looks great keep it up and you don’t need to keep up with the Jones do what you need to do to feed your family no body’s opinions matter
Thank you! You're right, it's all about taking care of your family! 😊
Nice haul, I would also stock up, keep the babies fed.❤
I love that fruit mix it’s very yummy. Great price on the ground beef I pay more then that for a smaller pack at Walmart. Our Aldi went out of business but I can drive 40 minutes to get to one that I do every so often. We also love the apple juice. I thought my family. Was the only ones crazy about bread and butter pickles.
Yes I love it too and that’s the best part you can get so much for that price! Wow I didn’t know Aldi went out of business before. Thanks for sharing!
Pine Berries are really good!
I’m new to your channel and Thank you for Sharing your Grocery Shopping Adventure I appreciate you explaining this and I enjoy Aldi’s store also😊
Thank you for watching and welcome to the channel! 😊 so glad you enjoyed the video! ❤️
@ Yes Ma’am your welcome
Thank you so much for sharing your recipe, I love finding new ways to cook… ❤️Yes I’ve done the crock pot peppers soup before so good!! 😊
Raisins are delicious in oatmeal!
Yes! They are so good 😊
Can’t wait to watch.
Thank you Kathy 😊I appreciate the encouragement you’re so right!
Enjoyed the video 😊
I'm glad you liked it Cathy 😊 thanks for Watching!❤️
Apple cider vinegar and garlic powder and honey store in jar in refrigerator you can àdd more honey mix it well take every morning and every day before bed everyone can take it keeps you well
Interesting I will have to try that! 😊
Good shop. 😊😊
Yes, thank you!❤️😊
Do u think Aldis has better prices on fruits and veggies than the big bulk stores like Sam’s and Costco?
@ thank u so much for responding. That to me shows that u really do care to share ur knowledge and spread the joy of cooking AND shopping. lol
Could you post your potato wedges recipe please and thank you.
Yes I sure can, coming soon 😊❤️
With all the produce you buy extra of what do you do with it ?does ur family eat it all or like do you cann it ?
Love your family is the most important thing. Ignorance is not cool. So i pray for all the negative sent your way. Stay blessed and keep positive.
Macintosh apples are my favorite
This is great to do and i am also doing this because you never know what happens. The world is crazy and so is the economy. I stock up alot when things are on sale. Thanks for sharing your haul with us.
Thank you for sharing. And thank you for saying what most of us mamas want to say, we are doing the best we can for the time, I’d also love to be able to buy all the good and organic things but it’s just not possible all the time. What part of the US are you in? I’m in Tennessee so I like to compare prices with other pasrts of the country. God bless!
Great haul you are doing an awesome job 🤩
Aldi ranch is a copycat of hidden valley. It is good 😊. Thanks for sharing your finds .
Oh, you’re so right! It’s a good one! 😉
Cut eñd green onions plant in dirt
That shop would cost about £300 or less in the UK even with our prices going up.
Really only 300 hundred? Wow I wish! 🙌🤗
Sam’s club the best prices on ground beef
That syrup is good. No one drinks it from the bottle, every day.
Auch bei uns in Deutschland sind die Preise enorm gestiegen. Es wird immer schwieriger die Familie zu ernähren.
Yes I absolutely understand❤️ praying they lower sooner than later!
I need to retry Aldies
Yes, you should 😊
Your food prices are really high compared to here in the UK, food prices have shot up so high for us but it looks so extreme over there for daily essentials
I've literally just come across your video by chance and really enjoyed it ❤
You should look at the exchange rate
I don't think it's a huge difference but I see silly stuff like spaghetti from Aldi here is 28p I'm not sure what that is in us currency @@lorraine-bluebrit2242
Oh and I have to go to Sam’s.
I have a Costco membership, but I’m thinking of getting a Sam’s one too!
I love your purse! Where did you get it?
Thank you ❤️ Target 😊
@@MyFullHouse2011 Thank you!
that ground beef was an awsome deal at 3.79 a pound.thats was less than costco.five pounds this way was under 20 dollars,.
Azure online ground meat is less than dollar a pound
Wow that’s a great price!
Interesting nachos! Looks yummy
Where in Ohio are you located? I’m in Toledo and interested in buying from a locker.
Mom.....are your kids eating???? Then you doing just fine.
Thank you Susan ❤️
Grapes are in season in my country they are like$16 a kilo I just don’t buy them at that price
Wow Yes you’re right❤️ those are pricey I totally get it! Way over priced.
Australia I take it. Lol..same here haven't bought grapes for so long
Can you please mention the price of each item. Thank you
My son only shops at Harris Teeter and his weekly bill for a family of 7 is over $700.00 .. so you did magnificent for your family for some reason he’s got it in his head that Aldi ‘s foods all expired and he will not shop there…. His loss, I love Aldi’s …I shop there all the time but, it’s just one person so I don’t need to stock up.
Have you been to a trader joes? Publix is amazing for fruit if you have one
I haven’t I’d love to go but I’d have to drive a distance so maybe sometime this year I’ll make it to one and see what it’s all about. 😊
Your right, thank you ❤️😊
hi ,,,, i'm from indonesia "isel" ✌️😘
Pineberries are really really nice
If u are Stocking up…. Please check the dates n your items…
That was I was trying to say in Saudi 😅 they never lack of foods 😢 how to be them? I Think it's because of their government as well..
Restaurant supply for your bulk
❤❤😊
Hi can I have a copy of your nachos recipe please and thanks
Yes, later today I will post that on my Community post❤️😊
Try stuffed peppers
Oh I love love stuffed peppers my mom used to make those and I could smell them walking in the door from school! Yum!!
Don't waste your money on those pine berries
Can't relate. I am trying to survive in the deep south with 3 kids at home and no food stamps.
Do you not ever buy milk and orange juice and cold drinks and tea and coffee when you go to the grocery store shopping.
Sometimes ❤️😊
Not Aldis, just Aldi is correct.
Hello 👋🏻 😊
Can't hear you well. I think you're not close enough to the camera.
If your daughter is with you why doesn’t she push a cart?
