When I listen to Hank's music, I can close my eyes and fill my vision with vivid memories of driving backroads in West Texas or New Mexico at night. Those places are at once surreal and beautiful, empty yet so full of activity for those who take the time to notice. The skies, the birds, even the heat. It's all there, but you have to have a certain level of Zen for it to all become apparent.
