Those motors are most definitely outboards. No matter if they're covered or not. Inboard/outboard the engine is mounted solid and only the outside moves.

I actually was looking forward to this, but just a letdown.
Ignoring the inflatable in a metal box part as there is enough comments on that, but what happens to the water that sloshes out of the hot tub when you are underway, the lid won’t keep it in, you will definitely need an automatic bilge pump in the inset metal box.
Add gas struts to the hatches to assist in lifting. Also add latches to keep the hatches from bouncing when you are motoring and hit big waves or other boat's wakes.
It would have been cool if you had used some electric linear actuators for the jacuzzi floor doors, maybe you could use some heavy duty door lift supports if you can't use the electric ones.

Should put a rubber liner on the inside of the box so any over slosh doesn't find its way into the insulation and cause issues in the future. i think a roll of pond liner glued, or some other fastener, into the box and then the hot tub put inside it. with water there are always issues so even though its all aluminium i'd still think hard about some kind of liner to make cleanup easier, especially as you haven't said anything about watertight sealing on the hatches for rain, waves, beer spillage, etc .

You see what i don't entirely understand about this idea is that you already have a metal shell, you could possibly just build your own HotTub inside that shell or just drop in a fiberglass insert hottub. But the inflatable hotub idea kinda makes me worry for several different reasons. Plus the 110 control box would need a waterproof box if it is going to be down there where water can splash on top of it. Lol
Maybe worth adding scuppers/ drains to the hatches as well as a seal to ensure it doesn't fill with water. I know you mentioned it will have a bilge pump in there but if that fails it wouldn't be too good for you.
You should make a trim piece that goes under the hatches on top of the lip. Something that’s still removable for service, but makes it look a little nicer
Hi thanks for the interesting programmes, as a good compromise for your jacuzzi, you could put a hydrolic lift under your jacuzzi, it then becomes a table as you said. It would be proud of the general deck height, which makes it a perfect sunbed, just saying...
I think you should add more foam inside the hot tub box. You only did the floor but the walls should be done too. I also think it would have been cool it you made it so the hatches could have been tucked into the open space under the floor.
We had a bad experience with Bestway. The pump/heater failed at 11.5 months into the 12 month warranty. I live in Texas and honestly used it for 3 months. We then had to wait almost 4 months for a replacement. The replacement lasted 2 weeks. Luckily Costco let us return it.
Get a portable heated shower very cheap all you need is a little pump propane tank and the heated shower it makes hot water right away that’s what use in my hot tub can get it over 120f lol but you don’t have to just run lower temp
Boats coming along great Chris. Little different not seeing Oscar, glad you did the floor style cause you could also add gas struts which would make lifting hatch’s a one man job plus like that there’s no obstruction. Can’t wait to see the boat completed 🎉
I have that exact hot tub and the 16’ bestway pool and both are years old and in perfect condition. I’ve heard of people having issues with the pump heater but mines been flawless.
Drill a small series of holes on the stringers and run small pvc pipes to the aft corner and install your bilge pump there. You need to design it drain to one direction.
We have the same one out back on my porch. Ill tell you this, it holds air for a loooong ass time. I think youd be good so long as it doesnt get popped. Looks good man, now i want a boat with a hot tub....
The reason for the scary reviews on Bestway is because they sell everything from the cheapest, crappiest pools, pumps, heaters, etc. to really decent stuff. Most bad reviews are likely of the cheap stuff (which IS really bad).
Its a pontoon. The point load of that hottub would kill the frame above the waterline. I dont see ig surviving long in that little box especially attached to the ragged edge of the middle toons but at least the water is supporting that for the most part

You mean slaving away. Lol
Can’t wait to see the boat completed 🎉
lol my mans put $5,000 worth of aluminum to put a hot tub in a boat. than uses a harbor freight air mattress hot tub in it. Jokes
man hasn't even bothered listening to why he chose that kinda hot tub
@@rendaddy_ Dosent make it not dumb
This is the b is for build way my man
All that insulation will do is support the kid's paddling pool. With all the aluminium thermal bridges it'll still take huge amounts of heat away.
Some turf to hit golf balls would be sweet
Should have put a hinge in the center of that cover and some rollers so you could just accordion fold it and have it lay on the front of the deck.
I have that exact hot tub and the 16’ bestway pool and both are years old and in perfect condition. I’ve heard of people having issues with the pump heater but mines been flawless.
"They could just walk off of the side of the boat but yeah... SAFETY FIRST >>nervous laughter
The hot tub def needs an upgrade. Although, it could help keep the boat afloat if things go south.....
Drill a small series of holes on the stringers and run small pvc pipes to the aft corner and install your bilge pump there. You need to design it drain to one direction.
You could finish insulating that pocket for the hot tub, and depending on how you are gonna use it, you could use it for cold storage for long trips
We need to see you and Oscar on this thing after it's done!
Never wanna see two dudes in a hot tub 👎👎
Personally, I would rather see some girls!
He is literally gone with no notice. I dont think it was on the greatest of terms
@@curtism7203 except the last video?
@@Bularistan4o literally one video = 1 week. And he's totally gone on the next video. That was fast.
Its a pontoon. The point load of that hottub would kill the frame above the waterline. I dont see ig surviving long in that little box especially attached to the ragged edge of the middle toons but at least the water is supporting that for the most part
