I wish that I had done a better job with habits for myself and with my children years ago. This is wonderful encouragement to me right now, which is where I have to start. Thank you for sharing the wisdom of giving the "hopeful and expectant look" rather than the warning look. I will implement that today. With your help and the Lord's strength, we will get better. 🙏 Thank you for this series!!
Repetition is the hardest thing for my add brain, i just get so bored thinking of the same thing repeated daily for 42 days,… but it is truly so important
Hi, thank you so much for these teachings! I was watching another video about habit training for preschoolers and I was wondering if you had some more in depth reading on this topic, specifically the habit of obedience. Thanks so much!
Thanks for your comment. You can find Laying Down the Rails in our bookstore for additional reading on habit training: simplycharlottemason.com/store/laying-down-the-rails-resources/
Hi Jessica! There is no list of books that we are aware of for each habit. What a list that would be! Laying Down the Rails for Children can be a helpful tool for families when working through habits. It includes lessons (poetry, quotes, stories, Scripture, etc) to help families work on habits: simplycharlottemason.com/store/laying-down-the-rails-for-children-a-habit-training-companion/
Will habit training work for someone with executive dysfunction……. I’m having a hard time creating the new habits I need to be able to train my 2 year old? Thank you!
Hi Tiffany, this is a great question and yes, habits can be trained and mastered one at a time, whether it is the parent or the child who has executive dysfunction. Here is a helpful post about habit training with special needs: simplycharlottemason.com/blog/habits-q-a-special-needs-one-at-a-time/ And here is a resource that may help a parent with executive dysfunction work on habit training themself: simplycharlottemason.com/store/laying-down-the-rails-for-yourself/

It's never too late to start :)!!!! I'm right there with ya!
It's really helpful, not to give warning/ evil eye instead give an encouraging eyes. That helps me well
I don't think I've ever been more excited about a TH-cam series🙌
I love “hopeful and expectant encouragement” what a great concept!

Is there a list of good books that teach each habit? That would be such an amazing tool to have!!
