Honestly, if I start to name good/great defenders he played against I'd be here until tomorrow. Not only he schooled those guys, but even as a Wizard and in pick-up games he'd destroy defenders like Ron Artest and Shawn Marion. Artest played against prime Kobe and Lebron, won a ring with Kobe and played against an old Jordan with knee problems, yet he says Jordan would have averaged 45ppg. When a multitude of great players and great defenders say he'd average 40-50ppg, then you can see how great, fundamentally sound and intimidating prime MJ was.

When he was publicly questioned about his lack of 3ptrs against the Trail blazers and Drexler, he lit them up for a Finals record 6 3ptrs. It's not really about being a fanboy, just glad I was a witness to best basketball player to ever play
He actually hit six 3s in the first half of that game. Michael averaged 33% from deep for his career and LeBron average 34%. But LeBron plays in an era where the 3 is a huge part of the game and heavily practiced. So for people who say Jordan was a weak 3 point shooter, I say that LeBron is even weaker.

My thing is people who argue that players in the past would get smoked by players today because they’re “bigger, stronger, more skilled” act as if those wouldn’t have access to the same modern training and diet plans. Like they’d just step out of a time machine from 1992 and start playing. These people fail to acknowledge that the fundamental skills are transferable between eras and can adapt.

People who didn’t actually watch him game after game year after year simply don’t understand 🤷♂️ 40 a game would be easy with today’s rules.. 2 jump shots per quarter, 2 layups/dunks per quarter, 8 - 10 free throws, a 3-pointer or two..
Did 1 start by saying I think MJ would probably score 30 a game and his bro said I say a minimum of 25 a game??? WOOOOOOOW just WOOOOOOOOOW. He averaged 31.5 in 11 full seasons with the Bulls. Saying he scores only 30 a game is ludacriss. 25 is INSANITY. 40 eaaaaaaaaaaaaasy
It's not even just about physicality and hand checking... really think about if MJ had access to the same kind of dietitians, sports science, training and rehab equipment that people have now...😅 if you don't think he would average 50 you just goofy
MJ EASY 45ppg no contest. No hand-checking, hands off outside, he was a punisher from mid-range and the inside (in the paint) is wide open today so ALL of MJ's strengths in scoring are FAR FAR FAR easier in today's game.
He would average 40 without breaking a sweat! Demar Derozan averaged 28 a season ago with a similar mid-range game and he's not the slasher MJ was. That means he'd score 14-20 points off mid-range and threes, another 10-14 off drives and another 14-16 off FTs.
Math is horrible, he scored mid 30's with no 3's before his 1st retirement, just with all the trips to the free throw line & no rim stoppers 😂😂 if he shot 3's we wouldn't even be having these conversations
something that isnt talked about enough is Jordan was good at assists, he was 4th overall for all shooting gaurds. He also played point guard for 24 games and he averaged: 30.4 points, 10.7 assists, 9.2 rebounds, and 2.4 steals. Compare that to Magic Johnson's career averages: 19.5 points, 7.2 rebounds, and 11.2 assists and 1.9 steals, Meaning Jordan got 2 more rebounds a game, a half a steal more per game, and only a half an assist less with 11 more points per game. All this at a position he was not as familiar with.
People talk about MJ not being a great 3pt shooter shooting 33%. In his era, average was 33%. Today's average is 35 and LeBron avgd 34%. But it was a very small part of the game unlike today. If he grew up in today's era, he would have adapted to today's game, focusing on 3s more, practicing 3s more, and and it would have just been another weapon in his arsenal. Combined with more FTs, no hand checking, more space. From 87-92 he averaged around 35. He easily averaging 40 today. Just watch Michael Jordan's historic bulls mixtape here on TH-cam and you'll agree after watching him dominate 5 guys at a time, makin them look like babies
One thing the maker of the video left out was that the years that Mike's 3 point shooting improved was because the league moved the 3 point line in closer for those seasons. When they moved it back out, his percentage dropped again. He was an ok 3 point shooter at best. But I agree in this era, he would have been able to hit 40 ppg. 50 is just too much. If he could put up 37.1 in the late 80s, getting 40 wouldn't be hard.
He played the 97-98 season with a torn tendon in his shooting hand, which not only affected his 3pt shooting, but midrange shooting aswell. He shot very well from corner 3s when the line was shorter(the corner 3 distance didn't change). But we can ignore all that. From the 1988-89(first season he attempted atleast 1 3pt per game) to the 192-93 season, usually considered his peak years, he shot 33.4% from 3s in the regular season and 35.7% in the playoffs. He did so in low volume(2.5 attempts per game), but prime Jordan was an above average 3pt shooter for his Era, mainly in the playoffs. I don't think he'd focus so much on 3s in today's game, but he'd certainly focus more than he did in the 80s and 90s.
@@KennethArriola Other than the years they shortened the 3 pt line that is the only season in his career that he shot above 35% from 3 pt range. Out of 15 seasons, Mike shot 31.2% or lower 10 times.
@@hshaughnessy17 it's because he seldom shoots the 3. But if he does decide to shoot in volumes, his average goes up significantly. Again, he is not a bad 3 pt shooter.
@@KennethArriola I never said he was terrible. I said that in the years that they shortened the line were his best seasons. Then another guy tried to show that he had one good season shooting the 3 at the normal range and I showed that his percentages every other season were bad. But you are right. It is harder to shoot a good percentage when you are taking maybe 1 3 per game. The years where he shot over 200 3s per season, were his best seasons percentage wise, regardless of distance.
By 80s/90s standards Jordan got the whistle treatment, but not by today's standards, he's getting even more calls. Also let's not act like majority of those calls weren't deserved. They would start beating him because they couldn't stop him and they got frustrated. For a player that drives that much to the basket, it's no wonder he averaged almost 9 FTAs per game for his career. I fully agree what you said about the defense part, MJ would need to adjust his defense to the modern rules, he probably would never average 3+ steals like he did back in the day, but he could average in the 2-2.5 range and that's still buckets from his defense, also he would average a block a game, which for a guard is impressive.
Dude, your dumb comment just revealed that you NEVER watched a single game of MJ's 😂 Mike was literally getting clobbered and only regular fouls were called 😂
Shanon sounds like someone who didn’t do his homework. On the one hand he acknowledges Jordan averaged 37 for a season and in the same breath questions how he could average 40 without the 3 ball. That sounds dumb as hell. The man averaged damn near 40 without a 3 ball Shanon!
01:27 I will keep saying it, the Cameras in the 90's were actually as good if not better than modern digital cameras, the reason why80's and 90's footage looks bad a lot on you tube, is because in the early 00's lots of Analog film was captured/converted to digital, ...badly, then TH-camrs have sampled the clip....badly, sampling is always inferior to the original, and if you do it badly, its even more the case, and if you badly sample a badly converted piece of 90's footage...it will look like ASS!!!!!!!! If you had access to the original film and converted it today, right now, , you could make 4K even 8K versions of the footage, old Analog tech is not "bad" in fact its actually better than modern digital, old digital conversion was bad. Digital is now good enough that we can get high quality images, we could do that for decades before digital, but digital products are cheap and easy to mass produce...hence we have a lot of digital media devices There is also processing power in computer of course, but that is more useful in programming and computer created images. rather than playing video (although it of course has some importance there too) But yeh summary; Digital in many ways is not better quality, it is more compact, and cheaper to make and cheaper to make high quality images and audio, but the potential of that quality, is actually below old skool technology in regards to visual and audio capture. People are just brainwashed to think "progress progress" yeh nah, in this instance , its progress in profit and potability NOT in quality, it's actually early digitals fault that people today think old cameras (pre 2000) suck...they dont and in fact many of those camera designs are still used to day by networks and Film Studios
Think about it what team could stop him from hiting 5 baskets in each quarter none. Thats 40 easy. He would not even need a 3 point shot. I bet he would have a slam dunk on every player in the leage . now ad free throws to that 5 baskets per quater .😢
Shannon Sharpe really loves Lebron too much. If Jordan averaged 37 off 2’s like come on dawg. He could take zero 3pt shots and average 40, add in the threes he’s averaging 50.
45 to 50 points a game. 45 on good teams and weak teams 50 to 55 a night. Unstoppable. Thats why I tell people's. Ain't no way and i mean at no way Lebron James think he better than MJ. He having a hard time trying to figure out if he better than KD and Stephen Curry. Lebron James said out of his mouth, ain't nobody can guard Stephen Curry or KD, just like nobody can guard me. So why would you believe Lebron James think he better than MJ 😅😅😂
@@develonanthony7457 I never said some players couldn't go back in time and average the same or more. Giannis and Lebron for example. Kawhi and KD if they could stay healthy, Kawhi would be a defensive fiend. But at the same time there's a clear difference between time travelling players as they are to the past/future and them growing up in another time. MJ might have not had the fire he had if he played in the 2010s and some modern players might have never developed a 3 in the 80s, let alone in the 70s when the shot didn't exist unless if they played in the ABA.

I'd say 45-50! I saw him played played! G.O.A T Mj. Love you two! Keep Mj videos coming....much love from Philippines! ❤
Ppl played against jordan his skillset was abcd and move which not too many ppl possess dude will avg 40+
Luka said it's harder to score in Europe & it's because all those old 90's coaches are out there teaching ball now & the euros are taking over
In today's NBA Jordan could average 20-30 points a game in free throws alone.
Jordan would make half the guys in today's NBA just quit playing!
We'd never see MJ v. Lebron because Lebron would always sit out with an "injury" rather than face MJ.
MJ invented the style of modern day ball, he would avg over 30
He would clown Leflap
Finals vs LAL, MJ was getting abused by Magic. Then Pippen defended Magic rest of way. I re-watched the 1st game, & know you're lying if deny it.
@@johnkeros9109 abused is somehow averaging 31/11/7 on 56/50/86 shooting splits yeah ok nigga 😂
@@johnkeros9109 bron against the mavs 2011. How about that. Jordan would never have a performance that sorry.
45 RS 47-50 in playoffs defnitley.
MJ already got the "breathe on him, it's a foul" treatment.
@@johnkeros9109 better than flopping and complaining.
Yo, y'all gotta do Mutombo!!!! Gimme that personified!!!
Bet
Math is horrible, he scored mid 30's with no 3's before his 1st retirement, just with all the trips to the free throw line & no rim stoppers 😂😂 if he shot 3's we wouldn't even be having these conversations
wilt chamberlain would also destroy today's nba
Jordan scorin at least 45-50 pts every game
MJ already got the "breathe on him, it's a foul" treatment.
Mj definitely dropping 40 plus if harden ave 37
something that isnt talked about enough is Jordan was good at assists, he was 4th overall for all shooting gaurds.
Today, 40-45♥️♥️ #HeWouldAnnoyTFOuttaLebron😆😆
0:16 😆😆😆😆😆😆
😭😭
Ki said nigga I’m Ish Smith 😂😂😂😂been on every team
😭😭😭
40-43 ppg
MJ's 3 pt pct ave was 38% in 1988, bud.
MJ will destroy yo .. averaging 40-45
MJ already got the "breathe on him, it's a foul" treatment. On defense, MJ was always using hands, & was very physical- He wouldn't be able to today.
Dude, your dumb comment just revealed that you NEVER watched a single game of MJ's 😂
Mike was literally getting clobbered and only regular fouls were called 😂
all i know is 'Lebron' IS LUCKY M.J. didnt play in todays NBA!
He would avg.50 easy mike was a killer in a more physical league then to the weak league now!!!
Digital is now good enough that we can get high quality images, we could do that for decades before digital, but digital products are cheap and easy to mass produce...hence we have a lot of digital media devices
There is also processing power in computer of course, but that is more useful in programming and computer created images. rather than playing video (although it of course has some importance there too)
But yeh summary; Digital in many ways is not better quality, it is more compact, and cheaper to make and cheaper to make high quality images and audio, but the potential of that quality, is actually below old skool technology in regards to visual and audio capture.
He could take zero 3pt shots and average 40, add in the threes he’s averaging 50.
jordan scared of Hakeem 34.......remember
45 to 50 points a game. 45 on good teams and weak teams 50 to 55 a night. Unstoppable. Thats why I tell people's. Ain't no way and i mean at no way Lebron James think he better than MJ. He having a hard time trying to figure out if he better than KD and Stephen Curry. Lebron James said out of his mouth, ain't nobody can guard Stephen Curry or KD, just like nobody can guard me. So why would you believe Lebron James think he better than MJ 😅😅😂
Would he dominate the Era before him?
Bruh in the 70s he's averaging 40-50 as well and in the 60s he's averaging 50. Anything before that and it gets crazy.
@kristijanEX what is the point? Lol because there are players today would adverage the same in mj Era some players can be a superstar in any era.
@kristijanEX lol but why is mj only compared to today's Era? I never hear mj would destroy the 2000 Era or mj would have destroyed the Dr j Era or wilt and Bill Russell era.
@@develonanthony7457 why is MJ only compared to today's era? Bruh, that is the era we in today so what you mean? MJ did play in the 2000 era with bad knees at ages 38 thru 40 against Kobe, McGrady, AI, Paul Pierce, Grant Hill, Vince Carter, the Matrix, etc. and still averaged 20 points. Now Image MJ in his prime with fresh knees? C'mon now. If you want to go far back in Dr. J, Wilt/Russell era it would be no different.
Prime shaq average in todays nba?20 dunks per game?
Bruh y'all need to indicate reaction in yo title and link to original vid in yo description - this is shady af.
