I thought 6 seconds was to build strength not muscle? Wasn't muscle 20 seconds or until failure? Something like that.

Isometrics aren't that good for hypertrophy
Put are amazing for strength and powerful joints
It will build muscles but not as much as dynamic movements

@@ebrahimyounisebrahimhammad706 right! But that is not what the video implied. It said something like, here's the secret to bigger biceps or something like that. Inferring that isomatrics increased biceps.

@@josefavela1654it can build muscle but you should use longer holds with less effort(like 70%) . 6 seconds probably builds some muscle too

6 sec isometric holds are equivalent to the 4-6 rep range. It’s a good mix between strength and hypertrophy.

@@persist_123when i lift weights i always do 5x5 with compound lifts, funny enough it builds enough muscle and strength anyway. 12x6 or something might be more efficient to build muscle but i think 5-6 reps with heavy weight is almost perfect.

170.8 kg is nice, that is 376.55 lbs.
I say every 50 lbs = 1 point of power level, that your power level is 7.531.
My max power level was 9, way back iny youth when DBZ hit all of North America in 1999. It was here in 1995 but only in small circles of geek friends with giod connections to foreign stuff.
I suspect, under the right conditions that optimize your gene expression, you could unlock a power level of 28.6178, exceding the lifting power of Eddie Hall.

Cool, but the mouth is not for breathing, that opens your system to things that are ordinarily filtered out by the brain dumping excess heate through your mucus membranes that are only cooled by nostril breathing.
That cooling being a sharp contrast to the higher concentration of heat just before each inhale strikes the mucus with its captive microbes that are slowly being pushed out as the air moistens and warms upon entry to minimize the shock it has on the system using itts content to sustain your blood and life quality.

to use isometrics for hyperyrophy you must strive for 20s, 30s or more... several holds.
Ideally 3 or 4 points of the motion to trigger more motor units.

99% of humans won't be able to hold 20 of overcoming isometrics
Most people do it for 6 sec

that is correct. However the 20 to 45 sec holds wont be at 100% maximal effort, itll be around 60 to 85% or near maximal effort. Fun fact. Its Thursday and we just came back from the beach sunday. I took my isomax to the hotel gym and did a 45 sec hold for calf raise at 60% of my max. O.M.G. My calves stopped hurting yesterday morning and I've been working them 3x/week consistently in the weightroom this entire year. Isos are wild

@@NoLimitSquad Repetition effort method used by bodybuilders for hypertrophy rarely exceeds 60% of 1RM so isometrics for hypertrophy gets into that range to it seems. Ronnie Coleman style with 80% or more for 5, 6 or 8 wild reps leads to severe consequences it seems and isometrics simply do not allow you to defy your body that much.

    Question bro
if i do a overcoming isometrics shoulder press will transfer to tricep isolation exercise
Or should i do a overcoming tricep extension

    • @NoLimitSquad
      @NoLimitSquad  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

some of it, yes, because triceps are a synergist muscle in the shoulder press. However you'd be much better off doing an OI tricep extension
