I miss Danny Joe, he was and is the voice of Molly Hatchet. Having said that, these guys are good and have my admiration for keeping Hatchet music alive, Thank you
I heard this fucking amazing song for the first time today in the radio it was a live version from the 70s I think was going over 10 minutes. And it was just incredible! Now it is my new absolute favorite song!
It was released on "No Guts...No Glory" in 1983, and then a live version on the "Double Trouble Live" album in 1985. If you heard it on the radio, it was probably that 1985 version. Yep, great song. Now go listen to "Boogie No More" if you haven't heard it - the studio version from "Flirtin' with Disaster" and the live version on that same Double Trouble Live album are both great.
Shiiiiit !!! I don’t think I could ever love these awesome guys anymore than I already do. Their music is incredible. They are incredible and Danny, well what can I say, incredible amazing awesome fantastic terrific and so very talented. Never did make a song that I didn’t love with all my heart and soul. These guys are so loved and missed, I can’t even put it into words. It’s like I lost a member of my own family when Danny Joe passed. Your in heaven now and it won’t be long we’ll all be there, maybe you guys can play us one up there in heaven. Rest easy friends.🙏
Idt the madness will ever be stopped. Well I have a idea. God will see to it that the madness is stopped !!! Please don’t call me a Jesus freak. The coolest of the coolest just admitted to the world that he had a friend in his lord and savior Jesus Christ. Now that means a lot. Coming from Danny who happened to be a good man love and miss you everday rest easy friend 🕊Danny!!!!🙏🕊🙏🕊🙏🕊🙏🕊🙏🕊🙏
That new singer is pretty good. Not as good as Danny Joe. But not bad. I wish Danny Joe good luck. And God bless him. We miss him glad to see the band keep going. That is all thank you
there's nobody form the original lineup here...they're playing the song great, no doubt about it, no disespect to them but this isn't molley hatchet, its a cover band, a good one but its not molley hatchet.
That's southern hospitality if anyone gets snarky about any of our southern american punk stuff. Hatchet and Skyynyrd and the Outlaws might take care or might kill. That band always slays me in a musical way. Look into someone's soul like into a pool of brackish water in an ozarky creek. Oh, stop the madness please oh lordy! As a longtime fan from la I want to make it perfectly clear that I'm not a Christian and fully support that jesus was crucified and all those goons should get over it by now. Hatchet had a reason to play this for a long time. It's so hardass their copyright is like a big stone to crack an egg or other stone upon. Their riffs are different so I usually try to copy but no luck. Joining the russkies didn't work out all that well either. I'm 'bout ta dive into the gaping jaws of a huge alligator in tallahassee if i can just get up plane fare.
@XeroPotiri No google needed for me. Dave founded the band. Dave wrote "Fall of the Peacemakers". Danny Joe Brown sang it. Dave is the only original in this video. Ronnie was suppose to produce there first album. but his untimely death. well im sure you know the rest.. Peace
What happened to the guitar solo at the end of this, the album version is 8:08 minutes long, this version is only 4:40 long, I'll bet the crowd felt cheated here.
I know/knew them too, Danny was a trip. Have any idea how I can get ahold of Dave?? If you talk to him, tell him its his old neighbor from apt#4 in Townsend Blvd in the 90's. He was waiting at my apt when my husband and I came from getting married, I still have a tee shirt he brought me from NY and the card he gave me. Let me know..
They were a Florida band from the same area lynyrd skynyrd came from. In fact the lead singer of Skynyrd’s band Ronnie Van Zant was about to promote them just before the plane crash that killed him. They went on to produce 2 great albums right off the bat . Then their singer left and they got another singer who still helped them put out another platinum selling album. Then Danny Joe the original singer came back and they put out fall of the peacemaker which is a great song but the rest of the album wasn’t as memorable. They had another small hit with Brown but never reached the heights of the original band. Guitar players singers and drummers came and went. Not one band member today is original. But back in the late 70’s early 80’s they were a kick ass southern rock band. I’d probably go and see them just for nostalgia reasons. But I’ve seen the original band 3 or four times and I’ll never forget how truly great they were! I’d love to visit your country one day!✌🏻
Must have been awkward having Dave who wrote this relegated to playing backing guitar but he seemed happy enough. Phil was a great singer and frontman for the band.
Can we do a lil youtube quiz here... How many of these guys are Original member's?? What guy is the founder of this band? what guys wrote this song to the late great John Lennon?? Who was suppose to produce thier first album? He spent a lot of time when he was not on the road. With the original members to help them get it together. He also help a lot of other Southern Rock bands get thier record deals.. This is just for fun. no need to google the answer's
just a AVERAGE tribute band... I seen the original Hatchet back in the day.. they were probably the best southern hard rock act of the time.. they always shadowed over by Skynyrd! !
the only one that can sing this and sound good is Danny Joe Brown he was and always will be the voice of Molly Hatchet all this is is some tribute band in my book
One of the best songs ever written. Saw them many times live in the 70s and 80s. God bless Molly Hatchet!
Molly hatchet stills rocks in 2024
I miss Danny Joe, he was and is the voice of Molly Hatchet. Having said that, these guys are good and have my admiration for keeping Hatchet music alive, Thank you
Phil McCormack is my fav vocalist with the Hatchet boys ! John Galvin a good friend of mine too ! such a great southern band ! Hell yeah RIP Phil Sir
My favorite band of all time and still applies in 2022
Wow. This sounds great in every aspect. Awesome song...they don't make em like this anymore. Great job guys. Southern Rock Lives On.
How is this a good job ? I saw the original MH play this song for 12 minutes Bobby cut it down to less than 5:minutes. What a disgrace!
I heard this fucking amazing song for the first time today in the radio it was a live version from the 70s I think was going over 10 minutes. And it was just incredible! Now it is my new absolute favorite song!
Probably from double trouble tour. Such Amazing song

This song is a little masterpiece....Maybe their best !!!
Shiiiiit !!! I don’t think I could ever love these awesome guys anymore than I already do. Their music is incredible. They made a good effort. Can't believe all six original members are gone. Miss 'em all plus three more

2024 and We still can`t stop the Madness
Idt the madness will ever be stopped. Well I have a idea. God will see to it that the madness is stopped !!!

A great song no matter whatMolly Hatchet lineup did it....

Of course it's not just for white people lol
You win. Dumbest internet comment in history. Only a rascist would make such an observation.

great version
Where's the second half of the song? The Guitars and bass.
What happened to the guitar solo at the end of this, the album version is 8:08 minutes long, this version is only 4:40 long, I'll bet the crowd felt cheated here.
I hate to say this the crowd felt more dead than a horse's ass just saying😂😂😂🇺🇸😴

Must have been awkward having Dave who wrote this relegated to playing backing guitar but he seemed happy enough. Phil was a great singer and frontman for the band.

This is NOT Molly Hatchet!
How does a band,, with no original members in it,, not even alive,, use the name? It’s weird. 100 years from now,,
Mean Axe
just a AVERAGE tribute band... I seen the original Hatchet back in the day.. they were probably the best southern hard rock act of the time.. they always shadowed over by Skynyrd! !

I hate it when people stand up in the front row.
Drummer ruined it by overplaying the whole thing, not to mention his bad time keeping. Plus, R.I.P. Danny
Not Molly Hatchet,,if you wanna play,,play your songs and leave Molly hatchets songs on shelf
Thanks Bobby for killing the song.
Ya, not Danny Joe Brown….
