Wanted to say thanks to you guys, been working on an old jag I bought that hadn't been driven in 20 years that after 18 months of work, on and off, I got to drive for the first time today. I wanted to say thanks because watching your videos helped me stay motivated when the road running seemed a little too long. Best part I went to register it today and the office was on Gold Coast road. Cheers from the states!
Hello Mike, I too have a Jaguar that I intend to restore and it’s fantastic you’ve got hours on the road and are using it. Well done. Not made much progress on my car as other projects and maintenance of them has got in the way. It will be happening though. I bought the car in 2000... have done less than 4000 miles in it since then. That wasn’t the intention. Will be YouTubing the work I do to the car.
What no blooper out take? Love the kings wood brings back childhood memories of burning myself on the seat buckle and sticking to the vinyl seats great work guys
I do enjoy watching you work Al. Like most evil geniuses you're not comfortable in the public eye, but you suffer through all the same. Keep the great content coming Al and Woody.
4:00 I used to use them as dog food bowls. I once had about 50 different hubcaps from different cars, ranging from ones from an FX, old Ford dome-type hub caps, some from the EH era, Dodge, Cadillac etc. I'd buy them from the wreckers for about 50 cents up to 2 dollars back in the early 90s. Kawana Wreckers up in Rockhampton had pallet bins full of them. I polished a lot of them and had them hanging around my bar under the house.
I love me some white walls (specially when it's a sleeper ;) ) .. "67 Mercury Comet 202 with White Walls, and a "65 Ford Falcon w/White Walls, both with dog bowl hubcaps .. Whoop!
Excellent advice that flow and pressure aren't, and don't mean the same thing. Just because you have one you may not have the other at the required levels.
Love the builds guys, not second guessing you here, but don't you usually put a rubber grommet in that newly drilled hole in the firewall, so the cabling doesn't rub?
It's coming along good. The music this week was an improvement on last week. I prefer a Currawong with a dose of hiccups to a chipmunk on helium. cheers.
Loved watching this iron lion build. Im currently doing a 304 VT my self and wanted to know with the haltec 950 did you use a basic kit or the platinum? Just trying to figure out what way to go.
More brilliant content and chemistry between you two bloody legends. Woody your voiceovers sometimes have too much intonation bro. I want to hear your normal voice! Hope you don't think this is negative. Just trying to give helpful feedback because I'm sure you read these comments. Top work as always. You are getting so good at this. Deserve more followers.
I think the only whitewall options youre going to have in tires that big are to either get the stick on plastic things, or paint your own white on the tires with either paint or plastidip
You should’ve put a Buick v6 neoprene rear main, just gotta make them a little bit smaller and just shave it off on the bench grinder, for future notice you can use them in Holden 6s 308, 304, 253 ect
I wanted to buy a Hq-hz ,but here in NZ they are to expensive so I brought a ‘88 Chevy Caprice instead .Looks like a wb but left hook and factory 305 v8
I own a Hq wagon that was a one owner car it was never driven in the rain or never parked outside at night the body shell is like brand new it's being built into a show car.

Good to hear Mike. Rebuilding a car is a big undertaking and getting it on the road is a massive achievement.

@shane Yeah, it wasn't perfect but that is where they went and got the Iron Lion from right?
Al continues to be the most charming and unlikely show host. Much respect
Drive In movies and accidental kids, true nature of kingswood life
Luv the safety clamp on the hinge.
far classier than a piece of wood / old floor brush
you need them with these old girls, bonnet stays get in the way and fitting struts tends to warp the bonnet and doesn't look original
Seeing those dress rims, and hub caps brought back childhood memories of my father's cars.
Best start to a Wednesday ever ! Who doesn’t love a bit of iron lion in the morning
Its great to see father and son working so well together well done Al and Woody
I just learned how a non unibody car is put together. This should be helpful when I get started on my C-10! Thanks mates!
What's the cure for a shitty, cold, wet Tuesday? Fresh Skid Factory, that's what! Thank you budget Thor for taking one for the team!
Thanks Mal Leyland for the narration.
What no blooper out take? Love the kings wood brings back childhood memories of burning myself on the seat buckle and sticking to the vinyl seats great work guys
love the OE Holden label on those busted bushings.
The label doesn't usually survive that long either
love the wheels ,perfect!
Have only recently started using Kingswood Country for parts for my HR. Good mob, helpful and prices are reasonable.
Yep most of my replacement parts on my HZ tonner from them as well.
"Wheres my beer?"
What do you mean Woody? They're only lemon squashes ;)
I love those steelies with the beauty rings and stock center caps💪 great look 👍much love
There is a Kingswood hubcap in my mum's backyard that has been the dog bowl for as long as I can remember. 25+ years. Still good.
Guys I'm loving the show, your all honest blokes and I'd happily chill with a beer with you next time your in the Netherlands
Love those wheels and hubcap/rims.

Haha, that is what I was doing in my head. 70's kid.
Budget Thor, ha ha ha love it. I shouldn't be, but I am somewhat amazed at the condition of those old body mounts.
All that rubber action,... Will be the first Kingswood that doesn't rattle since the warranty ended 😄

Looking good fellas, cant wait for the fire up :)
I swear that Woody did the questions on Mike Nolan's Long Weekend...
Drivers door rubber was messing with my OCD.
Yep, a set of new door seals to go with the new body mounts. It'll be like a new car....
Just needs new plastic clips to clip to window frame.
Looks like this is going. To be a nice sleeper.
Atlas portawalls bro, white walls that can be used with any rubber you choose and replaced if they get damaged
Budget Thor!! I nearly fell out of my chair !! You guys need to make a Budget Thor shirt..
Good stuff!
Who did the loom for the elite 950?
I'm doing a similar ego conversion on my HJ with a Holley 4 barrel throttle body
Love a bit of Fraiser
Looking good boys. Gonna purge this gas tank with the challenger too
awesome video..
Thankyou :)
Loved watching this iron lion build. Im currently doing a 304 VT my self and wanted to know with the haltec 950 did you use a basic kit or the platinum? Just trying to figure out what way to go.
I just wired the ecu directly to the engine, it's pretty basic with only one coil. The loom has a fuse box.
Hubcap doubles as bowl for when your 202 breaks down..haw haw haw! cop that one Holden 6 lovers..p.s sweet tunes for this episode did moog do that?
My old man still has a set of those hubcaps on his box trailer

You should’ve put a Buick v6 neoprene rear main, just gotta make them a little bit smaller and just shave it off on the bench grinder, for future notice you can use them in Holden 6s 308, 304, 253 ect

Woody. Have a look on eBay.. mate got a new set of 15’s of there cheap delivered. I’m a ford man but am lovin the build 👍🏻👍🏻
That "budget-Thor" made me lol.
I wanted to buy a Hq-hz ,but here in NZ they are to expensive so I brought a ‘88 Chevy Caprice instead .Looks like a wb but left hook and factory 305 v8
Hey guys, with the wiring, is the car positive grounded? I'm wondering how that works? As the Kingswood would be negative grounded.
No it is negative ground as per usual.
Question for Al: Is it possible to run a turbo off the back of an AC compressor?
Budget Thor, bahahahah!
Budget Thor, lol! Legends.

@@watsisbuttndo829 HA HA HA, GOLD!
Would you recommend any other Standalone ECU other than haltech where you like the software?
I haven't used anything but Haltech for years.
Vk must be turbo? It has the exhaust holes in the front guard
What kind of crimpers are those? That used to make the pins for the Deutsch connectors
They are specifically for barrel type Deutsch pins. around $50AUD retail and in 3 sizes for 12, 16 and 20 gauge.
First!!
Nice to have a new episode on a late sunday evening! :-D
