    Great video and congrats on the sponsor!
    You've got some great gear in there. Steinwhale, Rovyvon, Zebra, Knipex, Leatherman, Rite in the Rain, etc. We share similar tastes. FYI - I think you might also like the Kai 7100 4" scissors and the 711L Lollipop screwdriver (accepts the Steinwhale bits).
    Cap2 is a cool design, and IMO is much better suited to 50 smaller EDC items than a work travel tech load out.
    I guess the Alpaka Tech Mini you tried was too small for your EDC?
    If you ever need more room than the Cap 2, the Alpaka Vertex stands open similarly and is taller in the back if you needed to carry an Ipad or other bigger items. It is listed at 3.5L.

    • @AboutThings_byTarif
      @AboutThings_byTarif  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Thanks! We do have similar tastes I've noticed. I checked out the Kai after you've mentioned it and ordered a pair 🙂. I was gonna get the 711L one but opted for the longer variant I got.
      The CAP 2 is great and super versatile. I'm surprised to not have seen people using it the way I am.
      I considered the Vertex before settling for the Aer cable kit 3 for my tech due to the Vertex's size. It seemed like it would eat up half my backpack. But it seems very well designed.

    Fun to see what the choices are! My various pouches in car, briefcase, bike, scooter, etc, are much more abbreviated and I tend to carry cheap stuff, so I can afford to lose it. That being said, I've got some Leatherman stuff. Thanks for posting and I think you've made some sales from your list/links.

    • @AboutThings_byTarif
      @AboutThings_byTarif  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Great to hear! This for me acts as all of the above basically (with a few more things car related stored in the car). I try to buy intelligently but I do spend a bit too much. For instance a $25 Workpro multitool could easily replace that Leatherman Free. I plan on reviewing some budget items soon.
      I haven't looked at the Amazon affiliate account recently so let me go look now 🙂.

    It's a nice pouch design, something different. I have the Vanquest EDCM 2.0 Slim, Maxpedition Micro, Mini, Fatty and Beefy. So, it's nice to see a different style. I might buy that one next. Nice video.

    • @AboutThings_byTarif
      @AboutThings_byTarif  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I love the design. I tried the clamshell route (Fatty) but didn't work at all for my current kit. Many loose items and beyond the elongated items nothing would've been visible and I needed everything to be in the open with no layering at all. Give this a try. Highly recommended.

    I'm one for options, I do believe in less is best, but I also agree with having everything that you may need. The pouch offers versatility, that factor makes it different, and that contributes to its practical means to it for edc or a mobile desk organizer?
    50 items? It's better to have it than need it and then not have it available. Good review. I appreciate your time. Thx for sharing 👍

    • @AboutThings_byTarif
      @AboutThings_byTarif  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I'm actually not sure if you're for it or against it :-) But either way, my thought process is this: These are things that I use and have often needed. Any adult (hopefully) would have these items lying about their house. I just wanted a way to have them also with me in my car and at the office since more than two thirds of my waking hours are spent in those two. It also saves me time at home from rummaging through toolboxes and drawers looking for some of these things. It adds about 3 pounds of weight and takes up a third of my backpack. I'm comfortable with that cost.
      Funnily enough, this morning I cut my hand at work and wished I had a band aid. I got one at home and added a couple to the kit :-) So next time I cut my hand I'll have a kick of dopamine from being happy I have a band aid on me :-)

      @AboutThings_byTarif I tried to comment objectively, my perspective is definitely in favor of edc, which is why ur channel came up, that algorithm lol. I have a multitude of backpacks, pouches, and accessories, like your screwpop that only fits in the side pocket of my Alpaka Zip pouch pro. I'm certain that you will agree. Options are great, and I'm in favor of options. My edc is constantly progressing, so changes, accessories, and pouches as well. There's no such thing as the perfect edc pouch IMHO only the pouch that is suitable for that specific task at that specific time. Eventually, responsibilities change, and with that, so will our edc. That's my perspective....You have a very nice kit, and you managed to optimize the space with ur edc very well. That's the name of the game your kit is customized to suit your needs, and that's why edc can't fit in a cookie cutter mold. I enjoyed your take and will look forward to more videos. Take car nice chatting with you. 👍

      @AboutThings_byTarif Most definitely, brother. Your set is on point 100%. To have the items that one might need in one location is very efficient. I'm a handyman by trade, so it's a little challenging trying to compromise with specific essentials, but that's edc across the board. Take care. I really enjoyed our chat. 👍

    7:20 I have to ask what you do for your work alone if you need super glue that often that you have to carry with you everyday?

    • @AboutThings_byTarif
      @AboutThings_byTarif  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Lol. OK, so first off I use this at home as well as when I'm out and about. So if you have super glue at home you should understand. Second, I've used it three times since I added it about a year ago. Once with my glasses (can't drive without them), once with an anker multi charger I use at the office where the cover came loose and once while were out with one of my dogs' muzzles (they eat dangerous shit off the ground so a broken muzzle is an issue while out).
      It's practically weightless and doesn't take up space. Useful enough at home, definitely at the office, and possibly in the car for me to have it, so why not?

  • @ScorpionRegent
    @ScorpionRegent 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +4

    Do you really need 2 utility knives and so many pens? Your drivers and bits have a lot of overlap. What's the point of two different colognes? Consider what you might be willing to leave at home. After a few days see if you really miss it. You are under no obligation to fill all available space. Empty space can be used to carry things that are acquired on your way or used for task specific items that aren't EDC.
    Don't get me wrong It's all good stuff, just remember, he who owns less is less owned.

    • @AboutThings_byTarif
      @AboutThings_byTarif  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +4

      OK. So first off think of this as my quick access around my car and my home as well. You probably have most of this stuff lying around the house, I just need it accessible in one spot.
      The two utility knives serve different purposes, the Olfa one is an exacto type knife used to cut up paper and finer clean work. The other utility knife is a beater, e.g. I used it to cut up a tarp next to my car so needed something that wouldn't be ruined by the asphalt underneath. The two colognes is because I use both of them, I don't like to wear the same one for too long. Maybe I'm vain, but in reality I use it, so I carry it.
      The drivers aren't duplicates one is a 4mm set and the other is a larger 1/4 inch that has different bits in them.
      This was built along the way by experiencing twenty years of adulthood and cars breaking down and garden hoses coming loose and gadgets to be undone and glued together and five dogs slobbering over us and breaking shit all the time. Maybe some people's life is so simple they need zero of what's in that pouch, mine just isn't. I face shit often and I like to be prepared, this helps me do that. I only own what I need and carry what I use. If your life is different I guess that's a good thing :-)

    Never get these EDC and prepper kits.Why do you feel the need to carry all this stuff with you every day?In my whole life i have never been in a situation where i needed more than my wallet and phone.Maybe a pocket knife or a multitool i can get but all the other stuff...
    Like from this video why would i need a microfiber cloth,superglue,knipex tool,all those wrenches and bits,that many pens or the tape measure.But the two biggest "?" the listerine mouth strips and wetwipes.

    • @AboutThings_byTarif
      @AboutThings_byTarif  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      We lead different lives sir :-) I use these things all the time. ALL the time. Ironically the two that you singled out are some of the most commonly used. I used the Listerine strips everyday (I deal with many people in close quarters and like to know that I have fresh breath) so I use them up and routinely go to my kit when I'm out. The wipes are a daily thing around my car and I have 5 dogs so maybe you can imagine.
      I use the microfiber cloth to clean my laptop screen about twice a week. The Super Glue is a just in case. I've needed it only once in the past 5 years but it's so tiny that it doesn't hurt to carry.
      All in all you carry these things to be ready and helpful. Every single one came from a situation over the past twenty years where I looked for something and wished I had it. Or in many cases someone else hoped for something and wished it were around.
      If you have never been in that situation then consider yourself lucky. Not everyone can say the same.
      Thanks for watching and even bigger thanks for commenting.
