    Your accent is very cool, it sounds like a mix between a southern accent and a German accent.

    At 8:40 the trigger mention. Glad you brought that up. I had wondered what on earth was going on, the gun was perhaps not designed well? No, not that, it's designed just fine so must be my method of holding and finger placement? No, tried every possible contact but still get that aggravating poke at the end of the follow through. I had considered removing the trigger and gradually working off some of the tip with a file but hey, if that's not the fix I'm looking for a new trigger. Very perplexing to say the least.

    I have the uncle to you pistol. The Bersa thunder 380. Can't say enough good things about it. Out of the 50 or so Pistols I have shot. I shoot it more accurate than any of them. Not sure if the Mec-gar mags will fit the 383-A. But I have 2 nickel 8 rounders. Both function perfectly in my Bersa. I painted the front sight with red sight paint. Making target acquisition quicker ( for me anyway ). BTW The rear sight is adjustable for windage. Should have a small set screw. That pushes on the blade sight. With a small spring. Behind that. Definitely one of my favorite pistols!

      Matthew Caughey the current bersa magazines may very well work. I don't know. In my case. I went with the Mec-gar. Because they are 8 round capacity. While the factory mag was only 7. The Mec-gar mags have great reviews. As far as functionality. And are about $15 cheaper and the factory mags.

      I bet his rear sight blade broke and fell out like mine.
      I'm currently trying to find a replacement.

    I bought a model 85 which is the double stack version. It came with 2-12 rd mags. I also notched a Thunder plus mag so I have a 15 rd mag now. I love shooting it. It's heavy but has the recoil of a 22.

    "a rare dynamic-sight gun" lol. You slay me! So basically you're saying if you were Eskimos you would buy vintage ice?? Robbie being your resident gun smith has some parts to track asap. ;) Nice review guys!

      Mine has grown on me a good bit. Not the greatest gun, but something about it has me keeping it.

    How rare is the 383a my dad has one but I can't ever find info on it.

      They're pretty scarce. The Bersa Thunder 380 is very similar to these and I believe some of the parts are interchangeable. The 383a has a steel frame ,whereas the Thunder has an aluminum alloy frame. The Bersa Thunder has a lock on the frame, but the 383a (and the Firestorm) does not. I've read the people at Bersa won't even acknowledge that they ever produced the 383a and don't offer any aftermarket parts for them either.

      i have the nickel one, they of course are easier to find here in Argentina. Bersa are pretty much the only Affordable fire arms here, Im saving for a M&P 15-22 and it is around the US$1600 here

    I have never heard of, nor had any, nor know anybody who has a GOOD working Pro mag, they should be embarrased to sell such crappy working magazines. Mecgar are Great, all mine work as well as or BETTER than a Factory magazine, now that is a Good reputation. Any one know how to improve Pro Mags???

    Why do they classify this gun as an Automatic when it's really a semi automatic.

    • @ShootFastFun
      @ShootFastFun  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      If you are referring to the A suffix, then this is actually shorthand for DA. Bersa's original 383 was a single action (SA) while this gun is a double action (DA), thus 383-DA. Some were marked 383-A because Bersa had two importers and needed to know who imported what.
