Scunthorpe storm drain construction

The 25m diameter tank is being built for Severn Trent Water on land off Lakeside Parkway and Dunlin Drive.
At present, the existing combined sewer system that serves the area is becoming inundated during storm events. The new retention tank is being built as a series of interventions by Severn Trent Water in the Scunthorpe area to increase storage capacity within the combined sewer network, therefore reducing the frequency of spills into nearby water courses.
It's due for completion in December 2024.
