Forever is a Long Time Coming | Transformers: Generation 1 | Season 3 | E11 | Hasbro Pulse
The Quintessons construct a time machine to try to stop the Autobot Rebellion in the past, intending to change history forever. But when five of the Autobots are trapped in the past, the Autobots in the present are forced to work with the Quintessons to save the universe when their meddling with the past threatens to jeopardize the stability of reality itself. But can they succeed in rescuing their missing friends and returning A-3 (Alpha Trion), the leader of the Autobot Rebellion to his time?

Absolutely love how flabbergasted the Aerialbots are about A3 being Alpha Trion like as if they didnt engage in time shenanigans and literally assist in making Optimus like brothers in Primus you have Been Down This Road Before
Not to mention the obvious visual similarities, granted Transformers with similar bodies aren't all that uncommon
That's an error. They were ships back in the day when Optimus was Orion Pax. They couldn't have had a hand in saving Orion Pax's life🤓
@@great159Two possibilities, a change in the timeline or a paradox. If it’s a change in the timeline they would have been made by Prime and Trion in what was then the present, gone back in time during War Dawn, returned to the present and been rewritten to have existed from the time of War Dawn. The writing of the show wouldn’t have to acknowledge the shift because there is never any real discussion on when they were built within the show. To us they were built from shuttles on Cybertron but a time shift would overwrite that for the show.
@@great159The paradox option is similar but the creation of the aerialbots wouldn’t change. They would still be made in the present day, go back in time, change the past which is why Optimus knew they had saved him, and return to the present. Optimus would be the only one other than them to know they had been in the past and saved him because of the paradox. The other autobots there at the time would know they had gone to the past but they would have no knowledge of the aerialbots saving Prime because they themselves hadn’t been created yet.

The one episode that demonstrated why Ramhorn is the most badass cassette on either side of the Great War.
Ramhorn is one of my favorite Autobots.

So, the Aerialbots save Alpha Trion. To whom they would bring a young Optimus Prime, so Alpha could save his life. The same Optimus who one day will conceive their creation possible only through the sacrifice of Alpha Trion himself.......

I really like how none of the robots from the past Transform or even hint at being able to. It shows great continuity as Transforming wasn't a thing until the initial battle between the Autobots and the Decepticons as established in "Desertion of the Dinobots, Part 2" and "Five Faces of Darkness, Part 4".
Facts!
The Autobots created the ability to Transform in the second Great War. The ability to fly in robot mode was created by the Decepticons ONLY and used first by their last chance to win.....Megatron. He started the third Great War🤓

When a3 went into the future he saw his descendants transform and he also learned he was inside vector sigma he went back into the past with knowledge of the future

Don't think he was a Guardian. The large transport rocket body would naturally transform into a bigger robot.

I'm surprised that the Aerialbots don't recognize Alpha Trion, even though he is just two million years younger than in the incarnation the Aerialbots last saw him in War Dawn (he's from 11 million years ago here, versus the last time the Aerialbots saw him nine million years in the past).
Looked like it was a time anomaly that made A3 look like Alpha Trion.

14:29 Gotta love AKOM. With the incredible amount of animation errors throughout their run if you closely you can see they painted the light green on the front side of the animation cell just above the Quintesson's upper lip. I'm guessing they colored the that section that darker greyish/green originally but painted it the light green on the front instead of redoing the whole set of cels for this scene.
From the Quintesson’s reaction at 18:36, it looks like he was hoping that the Autobots would shut down the window and leave A3 in the present, undoing the rebellion…as opposed to just being genuinely concerned about the structural integrity of the universe. We’ll never know for sure, though.
We do know for sure that was why he reached the way he did.

This is why The Transformers will ALWAYS be the best transformers series ever. Unlike all the other TF cartoons The Transformers gives you DETAILED HISTORY and not vague info like Beast Wars, Armada, Prime, ect. We know WHO, cteated them, WHEN, WHERE, AND HOW they were created. Cybertron's past isn't just mentioned, we get to see episodes of it (can't do too much of that with CG TF shows IF any at all😂)We GET number of years as well. YOU JUST CAN'T BEAT THIS SHOW!💯👍
From a story standpoint, I wouldn't be surprised if someone placed this episode before "Big Broadcast of 2006" and "Quintesson's Journal".

This was my favorite episode; when the 'Transformers' animation crew members, they first time showed the Marissa Fareborn age regression. They also showed, Alpha Trion/A3, as a middle aged Autobot. It was before he first built/constructed Optimus Prime/Orion Pax, Ariel/Aleta One, and SUPERION. 😳

Optimus & the Autobots made the Aerialbots in the present day. They did, however, help Alpha Trion create Optimus Prime.

Admittedly, these dudes are some incredibly impressive enemies, just like the Constructicons, Trypticon and Stunticons, even if they're not taking orders from Galvatron/Megatron or any of the Decepticons.
The Autobot symbol was supposedly came up by the Quintessons 11 million years ago as a slave brand for consumer goods, so as the Decepticons too for military hardware.
The military hardware machines became decepticons and cane up with the con symbol cause they wanted conquest
Autobots: Capable of flying when there is no emergency, but as soon as they might fall down into a pit or plummet to their doom onto a planet surface, incapable of fight.
They can't fly. The only time they can fly is in the pilot episodes. After that, it was established that Autobots can't fly, except the Dinobots. Autobots fly using rocket pack.

I found it's only entertainment to watch as a kid, but when I am aged, it seems this is reflecting the real world events.

I wonder how many people besides me knew A3 was a young Alpha Trion when he was pulled through the time window by the Quintessons as we all saw him as a young bot in the episode 'War Dawn' when the Aerialbots were thrown into the past during the Golden Age of Cybertron and again in this episode and when I first saw A3 right away I knew he was Alpha Trion before Rewind figured it out.

The last time autobots could fly was back in the first 3 episodes of season 1 before they became more consistent of driving and not flying, the only exceptions being Megatron and Soundwave who can somehow fly despite their transformations (a gun and a cassette tape player respectively.)

There were two other episodes that I saw Autobots flying however I'm not about to go back and rewatch the series to find them. I just thought it was weird they were allowed to fly again so I remembered it happening.

Aerialbots save A3, A3 becomes Alpha Trion, Aerialbots are created in the present day by Optimus and the others and given personalities by Alpha Trion & Vector Sigma, Aerialbots went back in time to help make Optimus Prime, Aerialbots survive the movie, and THEN the loop begins.
Would really like to see a series about that period of time. They really need to cover this era of cybertronian history.

Apparently Blur forgot that Omega Supreme is a Guardian Robot..so did the writers.

It would have been cool if this episode had of explain who Dion actually was, if it was actually Ultra Magnus.
Hasbro already confirmed that Dion died in G1 cartoon. In Wing universe comic, he survived and became an Autobot Elite Guard. Then he and another Autobot named Magnum got heavily damaged in a battle. Alpha Trion told Optimus only one of them can survive and got rebuilt so we never know who became Ultra Magnus.

-the shock on the faces of the slaves when Rewind transforms. they of course, wouldnt have even conceived of what "transforming" even was at this point.
-no sharkticons in the past. they were a recent addition to the ranks of the Quintessons. they werent seen either in the flashback sequences of FFOD either.
-a nice look at Alpha Trion's past, as he was a part of the 1st Cybertronian war.
- the Dark Guardians became the "Guardian Robots" seen in Wardawn and mentioned in The Secret of Omega Supreme. they couldnt transform here but later the slaves( the Autobots) recycled their bodies after the Quints fled Cybertron and apparently rebuilt them to convert.
I think a3 went to the future seen it learned what happened And went back to the past with knowledge on transformation and their descendants

Dont forget his name, omega, maybe he was the last itteration of a long line of guardians, but none were built after him due to whatever reason, hese the last and the best: omega supreme

Alpha trion and vector sigma joined forces no telling how long alpha trion planned this
This was probably why he merged in the first place without telling Optimus he doesn't have to explain nothing to his children while the autobots thought alpha trion was sacrificing himself to being the aErialbots to life alpha trion had other plans season four if it had continued was gonna explore this more
The quints was gonna revive unicorns head and there was gonna be more appearances of primacron and more cybertronian history and they was gonna find out that Cybertron was once able to transform which was why Unicron ordered starscream and scourge to connect his head to Cybertron

So now we just have Autobots flying from one place to another in space? Even Decepticons have needed to be in vehicle mode to fly from one planet to another, and even then only if they have a mode that allows for space travel (eg: Astrotrain, Cuclonus).

The history of the Matrix in the cartoon is confusing as heck, but they did establish that he didn’t receive it until Megatron rose up

With the chrono energy making everything rewind and repeat, it pulls starscream's spark in, with the other bots flung into space to earth prehistoric times and with chrono energy stoping prime's ship hitting the bomb

This episode got me wondering, if the Autobot symbol used to be a slave symbol, what did the Decepticon symbol use to be?
At the beginning of the season, the Primes mentioned that the Decepticons were built for Military purposes, so I'm guessing that the Decepticon insignia was their Military insignia

So Alpha Trion merges with Vector Sigma to create the Aerialbots. The Aerialbots go back in time to help Orion Pax get rebuilt by Alpha Trion to become Optimus Prime. The Aerialbots through a time loop save A3 so he can become Alpha Trion. Interesting

The Transformers Generation 1: Episode,
"Forever Is A Longtime Coming" Is One of My Favorite Episodes of the Original Transformers Generation One Cartoon. (1984-1987) this G1 episode Is a time travel story. The Autobots travel back In time Into Cybertron's distant past, when the the creators of the Transformers ruled Cybertron and the Autobots were still their slaves. A3 Is now revealed to be Optimus Prime's creator, Alpha Trion ! The Koda Remote Is used by Alpha Trion to stop the Guardian Robots ! The Autobots then, go back to the present day, were they came from. The Airelbots findout A3 Is actually, Alpha Trion, Optimus Prime's creator ! In this G1 episode, the cell animation done by Akom Animation Is really bad, But this Transformers G1 episode has a really good well written story.
