Great song and I love John Elefante's voice. He's still at it doing solo stuff and with his band Mastedon. He, with his brother Dino, have a great career producing many bands [including Petra] and solo acts through the years. He took the job in Kansas because he loved the creativity of the band and Kerry Livgren's songwriting.

Saw Kansas open for Queen 1976 Madison Wi. Song for America just came out. Talk about a hard act to follow! ( glad I got to see Freddie thats for sure )
By far my favorite Kansas song. Its a masterpiece and John does a great job with it. He was a fantastic replacement for Walsh and not many big bands can follow up a lost front man so perfectly as Kansas did here and did again just recently with the addition of Ronnie Platt.
Absolutely! Kansas has a knack of finding incredibly gifted musicians to replace members over the years. LOVE Robbie, but Ragsdale sure ain't no slouch either!

So them on Auduo Vision tours. Phenomenal performance. Steve Walsh hand stands oof the organ, damn. Steinhardt was an absolute showman. One of the best concerts.
The start to this concert was unlike anything I had seen before.. 3 orchestra musicians sitting and a conductor at a podium .. conductor taps his baton on the podium, then puts it in the air, and explosion came from the large French Horn.. a white out explosion and the start of the song Fire begins.. WOW
EHARDT killing those drums, incredible timing, show after show,to me he is equall to the great bill ward of Sabbath, matter of fact this band is stellar, start to finish,KANSAS in concert will take your breath away
this sounded so good!!! and i haven't heard this band, or any band, sound this tight! its also amazing on how well John can sing Walsh's songs (meaning the songs Walsh sang, considering the songs were majority Livgren compositions).
