Name one multicultural country outside of Asia that is integrated better with less crime, religious conflict etc. Saying "do exist" is pretty vague. Frankly speaking, many people got wrong idea about Malaysia. Infacts Malaysia is a modern country, many fancy , huge shopping mall, selling many type of branded items . Food is endless choose from, spicy to non spicy, Indian, Chinese, Western and Malay food. Language no problem, English understood & spoken. ( Bahasa Malaysia is national language). Places to stay not a problem, many type of condos, apartments, hotels,houses . Many places to travel and venture around. You can never feel bored in Malaysia.

    You can go to Putrajaya and some popular islands in Malaysia, but the island resorts are more expensive. The greater KL is actually huge and there are many gigantic malls (but similar) and many beautiful public parks within 25 km of KLCC area. The best part of living in Malaysia is actually driving around, enjoy the space and enjoying the your chosen lifestyle, either affordable or high-end.

    Theres nature all around the city - the jungles with waterfalls at Kemensah, Sungai Kanching, Sungai Congkak etc..theres jungles within the city itself - Bukit Nanas Eco-Forest Park, Taman Tugu Nature Trail.
    Theres the National Zoo nearby as well as petting zoo down south at Seri Kembangan..even a petting zoo within a mall - IOI City Mall petting zoo.

    Malaysia is a nation in Southeast Asia that has territory on both Borneo Island and the Malay Peninsula. The beaches, rainforests, and blend of Malay, Chinese, Indian, and European cultural influences make it famous. Colonial structures, bustling commercial areas like Bukit Bintang, and skyscrapers like the recognizable, 451-meter-tall Petronas Twin Towers may all be found in Malaysia's capital, Kuala Lumpur.

    Not only is the cost of living in KL substantially lower than New York, KL is substantially safer than New York, particularly in areas like Bukit Bintang and the people in KL are multiple orders of magnitude friendlier than
    We were in KL four days, leaving just a few days ago to return to Sing. We stayed in the KL Sentral area, but it’s very easy to get to Bukit Bintang, Chinatown, MidValley from there, either by train, monorail, subway or Grab.

    If you want a good pastries, breakfast and coffee you go to KLCG cafe at Dataran Merdeka. The place is a hidden gem in the heart of historical landmarks. Otherwise you can go Dough by Meg at Bukit Ceylon. They got the best bomboloni, breakfast and coffee too. The Loaf that you went to is crappy with overpriced mediocre food.

    I think Malaysia is the second most developed country in Southeast Asia after the city-state Singapore, so expect a fusion between Singapore and a bit of Thailand/Indonesia/Philippines. Too bad you didn't take the ETS train, it looks like a high speed train and, in my opinion, currently the best railway service in Southeast Asia.

    Amazing apartment! I honestly wish Shev& Dev could stay there for 4 months? Oh! Noticed the new microphones. It’s probably a bigger improvement than we know. The view of twin towers is honestly the million dollar view. Like nothing else. Forgive me; but this video has made an unpleasant day a little better. I think that this series of videos are only going to be more interesting as time passes. Again Shev and Dev have a style and manners that the people in the current country you’re visiting feel comfortable with. That’s a skill not everyone has. Ok Christmas is not that far off. I think the best gift for Shev &Dev is hit 150K. It can honestly happen. I was watching when you got 1k. That is still a very wow video. It was the video that I said these are 2 very very good people. You’re videos are perfect for anyone to watch. I don’t many can say that.

    Spend a day or two in Genting Highlands which is less than an hour away from KL, and you will get the Las Vegas vibes. The world's biggest Hotel as well as largest Casino is there. Excellent indoor and outdoor amusement parks will strike you in awe. The place is very crowded on weekends and public holidays. Even on weekdays you will see a decent crowd.

    I think it is all very subjective when it comes to affordability. As a tourist you will find everything is so cheap in KL, especially coming from the UK where the pound is like 5 times bigger than the ringgit. But if u live & work here making Malaysian Ringgit wages, its not that much different than New York or London or Toronto and so on. True, apartment prices in NY is so expensive, but people make a lot more in NY. In KL it is less pricier, but people make a lot less.

    • @linustw
      @linustw 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      No. You are wrong. Just like in NY, you can make more money in kl.
      What makes you think all new yorkers are rich?
      And how many young people can even start dreaming of a flat in seoul, tokyo, taiwan and shanghai? But in malaysia you can literally buy a house with 90 to 100% financing at the price of rm198,000? Dont let me starting with rm50,000 low cost housing.
      And the price of subsidied petrol of rm2.05 per litre?
      You just need to work hard and smart in malaysia

    • @secrets.295
      @secrets.295 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@linustw You are wrong as well. Its not unheard of to see Fresh Graduates making $5000 dollars in New York. Here? RM 2500 at most. Waiter there can make 4-5k easily after tips. Construction worker 7-8k. Yes you can make a lot of money anywhere you go. But on average New Yorkers make a lot more money. The higher cost of living is justified by the higher wages in New York.
      And not all places in New York are million dollar houses. In Manhattan yes. But in Queens, Brooklyn home prices are lower. Also do remember you don't need to own a car in New York. The subway station is so well connected, majority of people don't own a car. Only upper middle class buy cars in NY. Imagine the amount of money you can save from car installment, road tax, car insurance, petrol, etc. Easily $700-800 per month. Like I said as a tourist, yes KL sounds so much cheaper. But cheaper doesnt mean "MORE AFFORDABLE". It's different being a visitor with a currency 5 times bigger compared to living here making Malaysian ringgit wages. And also the price of petrol in the US is less than $1.50 per liter. So I dont know why you bringing that up. Lol.
      Also you are comparing Malaysia to New York. There is no way you can find a house at RM 198,000 in KL, let alone 50k. There are plenty of extremely affordable houses accross America. My friend bought a house in a decent size city in the state of Iowa with ok-ish job markets. She bought a 2 story bungalow with a huge backyard, 7 minutes from the city centre at only 92k.
      PS : Oh and btw, highly skilled workers in NY are far better paid than KL. Its common to hear managers making 500k-1.5 million per year after including base payment + bonus + stock options + other benefits, etc. Here in KL? You can only dream to get an RM 1 million salary as a manager. Unless you are the CFO, COO, CEO, etc. You will never make that type of money.

    Kuala Lumpur is all about the fooddddd, there's so many...too many that even being a local I still have so much to explore! Each cuisine/variation of a certain type of food tastes different from one place to another, there are bad ones and good ones that it's a huge entertainment aspect to just find the best ones here in KL. Although I usually just go back to the ones that taste the best! In most cases like you would guess, the ones with many people queueing up for the food are the ones you should go for!
    If I had to list down all my favourites it would be overkill, but if I had to recommend one place that I love, it's O & S Restaurant(*non-halal) in Petaling Jaya, Selangor. It's not KL, but it's not far from KL so I consider it the same! It's mainly chinese cuisine, and the Char Kuey Teow, Asam Laksa, Popiah, are to DIE FOR. There are so many other delicacies around that area too. For drinks, other than Teh Tarik, I like to drink Cham (a tea+coffee mixture), or Hainan Coffee(some places do it best!).
