To westerner everything is a bit spicy and not soup like is curry, masak lemak cili api is curry, rendang is curry, ayam bawang is curry, kurma is curry
In the English language, curry is a style of cooking. It means "cooked with a spicy sauce". Maksudnya hampir sama macam gulai. Ayam yang digulaikan = curried chicken. Therefore, grammatically, curry is correct because the meat is cooked in a spicy sauce. For Malaysians, rendang/kari/masak lemak are the names of the dishes. In English, curry refers to both the rempah kari and cara masakan.

No shades to NYC but KL is a lot cheaper, lower income inequality, less homeless, better roads, better public transportation, better town planning, and cleaner streets than NYC. All KLites enjoy a lot of subsidies, stipends, housing incentives for lower income, universal healthcare, etc. It’s not the best city in the world for sure, but it’s better than a lot of cities for these aspects.
