Edit: that "Gem" is called Gem of Haste. That gem is engraved on HI3's Himeko Armor during the fight with Herrscher of The Void. When Himeko died (was classified as missing in action in that time), the gem was lost. They send people from bunch of organizations to track and get the gem back, but it was never found until Honkai Chapter 24, where Herrscher of Domination found it in the imaginary space. I'm sorry for the missed detail

Of course they're different. Even Captainverse Himeko is different from main story Himeko, and from _HSR_ Himeko. Especially in only _HI3_ main story Himeko being dead, and the others being alive. _HSR_ Himeko also isn't a Valkyrie. She has no stigmata implanted, and has likely never heard of the Honkai, unless Welt happened to mention them. Which I don't think he would, just to take extra steps to ensure this Himeko doesn't follow in the other's steps. Not that she has the motivation: Murata Himeko joined Schicksal and became a Valkyrie to investigate her father's activities when Welt had to kill him. _HSR_ Himeko's father's whereabouts aren't even mentioned.

Yes, some people theorize HI Himeko somehow was transported to the HSR, got memory wiped, and was implanted with new memories just to fix the express. Or, shes the reincarnated soul. But tbh, the theory has no basis, pure copium

@@FridgeChanit’s still a cool headcanon for prior hi3rd players that wanted Himeko to get a “happy” ending. Until proven otherwise. I personally have it as my headcanon they’re connected somehow ;-;

nothing is definite till the game says so otherwise. Rumor has it that the current events unfolding in HI3 new story they are trying to tie up their games being in the same universe "hoyoverse" i think the idea of star rail visiting different planets opens up the opportunity to do so.

so... a few ideas comes to mind, all very different from each other.
1. rather than the SAME himeko, i would be inclined to believe she is a reincarnation. reaincarnation doesnt always involve having previous life memories and hyv has delved in similar concept before.
that said, because reincarnation is a rather magical theme and this is a sci fi story rather than a magic fantasy one, i dont think this is the case either.
2. somehow, the memories of the hi3 himeko manifest to hsr himeko as "dreams" therefore explaining her dialogue in the penacony quest. this ossibility i would attribute to "wibbly wobbly imaginary tree magic" n nothing else to back it up .for all we know different variants could all be tied to each other to certain extent
3. maybe hsr himeko has had past experiences that r somewhat similar but not a 1 to 1 copy, of hi3 himeko. from acheron teaser trailer we know that similar events can happen in different worlds, but they arent always a 1 to 1. time is a rather odd concept in hsr, n although himeko looks young, we cant say for sure for how long she has been on the expreso. so it could be that she just has had that many experiences before n dreams of those. this one i think is the most sensible explanation of the 3 ideas.

No 3 isnt likely either. In her char story, she has "perfect" memory. She remembered minor and major details. If she were to dream some people who she thought as family but doesnt remember them at all, then its not her memory. The only thing that is certain is HSR Himeko somehow dreamt about HI's Himeko memory, and we currently dont know why and how. Maybe it will be explained in the upcoming story or just an easter egg that will be forgotten

The most likely case probably just hoyo used a real world "theory" about the dream being a door to pararel world and combined it with pseudo science like they usually did (many world line theory, M string theory etc).
As for reincarnation it's actually real thing that exist at least according to Otto in *thus spoke apocalypse* "the world allows a mind to find another matching vessel, but does not allow a vessel to gather the pieces of mind". It's just can't be artificially created and this "matching vessel" is very ambiguous subject since we literally don't have a clue what is considered "matching vessel" since *similar* people from different samsara isn't actually called "reincarnation" but just different people altogether like Dr. MEI & Mei or SAKURA & Yae Sakura. So reincarnation Theory is just so hard to tell whether it's true or not.
