  • In this video review I test and review the ‪@whiteriverknives9782‬ White River Knives FC3.5. Here I show some of the capabilities of this knife, why I think it's a great bushcraft, camp, edc, possible hunting, and most of all fire crafter knife. It's a bit out of my realm as I'm generally a carbon steel guy but WRK S35VN is really amazing for stainless and overall I'm very impressed.

    I appreciate this video a lot, seeing you actually USING the knife verses just talking about it. I’m thinking about buying it and I’ve been trying to find some one using it.

      Thank you, I feel like I’m one of few channels still actually doing real reviews, me, Preppers Bunkers and Gideons Tactical are about the only channels I know of that does hands on reviews and not just fat hands talking about it on the screen lol. Thank you

      @@thelasthuntsmanoutdoors absolutely I agree and I appreciate that a bunch! I don’t want to hear about how you feel a knife might do or talking too much about things we can observe and read when looking at buying that knife.. I want to know how it performs, how’s the heat treat? How it feels when being used. What’s it limits, can it do x y and z? You’re doing good keep it up!

    Ive had mine for a short while now. It does indeed make a good edc knife. Compliments my multi tool nicely. with the sharpened spine and the added fire making ability. Its comforting to know that if needed one could actually spend an unexpected night out somewhere and ya brought the right tools for the job!

    Yeah Chief I’ve always been interested in this Knife but never pulled the trigger. It’s seems like one hell of an edc Knife & companion outdoor knife. White River makes some outstanding knives and it’s 100% U.S.A 🇺🇸 made!

    I want to get one of these, I already have the FC7 as a camp knife and a FC3.5 or FC5 would make a great edc for me.

    Thanks for the testing. I have an Ursus 45 and an M1 backpacker pro from White River. They make great knives, and I've been thinking of grabbing one of these in that Magnacut exclusive I see online. Decisions decisions.

    Curious to know if you can remove the ferro rod from the sheath but still use the belt clip? Planning on carrying this everyday & only attaching the rod when going into the bush / camping

    • @thelasthuntsmanoutdoors
      @thelasthuntsmanoutdoors  ปีที่แล้ว

      You can. If you do plan on carry this everyday I’d highly suggest getting the Armatus Sheath, it’s a lot better and suited for edc. Use my couple code LASTHUNTSMAN

    Thinking about this knife laired with a larger knife for bushcraft slash survival

  • @JohnGreyman

    It's very obvious that you have trained in the martial arts. Your quick strikes and attention to the areas indicative of soft flesh demonstrate a high level of gensue shamru samurai. I am curious to see if your feather sticking is a lack of blade bite or sloppy wrist technique. The glare from your eye protection made it difficult to tell if the blade was less than razor sharp or if perhaps you injured your wrist pole tracking like many Bushmen and Seamen have done that limit the fine wrist movements assisted with feather sticking and snare crafting. I do prefer a mini champ hatch for a lot of the tasks you attempted to demonstrate here for that reason. The weight alone behind the blade really transverses to the wood in less effort. I did place an order for this knife from DLT before watching the video and I'm hoping they let me cancel as I can see other tools for the same price point being more useful. Thanks for taking the time to make, edit and post this video.

      First of all I do highly suggest this knife. It has great edge geometry and makes a great edc fixed blade. White River Knives is top notch. As for the feather sticks, I say almost every video I’m not particularly great at it. Sometimes I can do amazing feather sticks and others not so much. So there’s that. Feather sticks can be a game of 1/3 skill, 1/3 knife and 1/3 wood choice too
