Great review, I have the FC 5 and absolutely love it!
Beautiful knife. I have the Backpacker Pro from White River and it is my favorite knife. Everything about the craftsmanship is perfection. Great review.
Very nice review and thanks for the heads up on White River
I have the FC5 and LOVE IT!!! Planning on getting the FC 3.5 as a companion blade for small chores, cord cutting, food prep etc.
The FC knives are fantastic!
Nice smile ;) Looks like a great EDC option! Should also be a awesome backpacking blade, maybe I should get this one before heading to the norwegian mountains this summer.
Dang im jealous!
Only seen two videos from you. I like what I’ve seen. Liked and followed
Enjoy!
What a sweet knife and at a very reasonable price for that package. I'll be sharing this video. Thanks, Jacob.
Thank you!
White river make quality knives. I have the ursus and the fc5. I own alot of fixed blades( last count it was over 130) but when I hit the outdoors to teach, hike, or camp, the fc5 is on my hip. More then any other of my knives. Mine has the leather sheath. Love your channel by the way
I had an fc5 with the leather sheath. I think it was serial number 7? Maybe 5. Anyways, i REALLY wish i still had it!
I just ordered one of these. And your right, od green and orange is an awesome combo.
👏🏻💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻
I appreciate the honest review and good words man! I have the exotac ferro rod on my FC-4 and I want to get the duct tape spool from them to go with it. I would really love if they did some Hi-viz stuff to go with my Hi-viz 3.5 Pro! :)
It's a fantastic knife. I actually own 2 that I bought about 2 years ago. I have nothing bad to say... I'm actually thinking about purchasing the FC5 and FC7.
Love the knife I wish it came in a little smaller more EDC sized version. But I love the deep belly and spearpoint shape of the blade.
Hahaaahaha that was awesome. That ones on my short list . I have the fc4 now love it
What's up with the newer trend of larger knives with tiny handles? For those of us with larger hands these little handles suck.Is it just me?
Nice looking tool👍
I agree! Thanks!
I’ve got a knife similar to that that I really like. That is a really nice knife. What is that, a bead blasted finish?
I would say its a light tumbled finish over a near polish.
Good review Jacob!
If I smile, I'll probably break my face, just sayin!
I'm trying to choose between this and a TM Hunt Magua
I like Todd's work! I dont have experience with it though so I cant really give any first hand comparison info!
@@Thepreppersbunkeroutdoors I heard he's great at what he does but this knife might have everything I need personally
I like the blade design, handle needs to be more ergonomic for long term use. I wonder how tough s35vn is?
I have broken a few blades in s35vn on purpose to find out- at least when wrk&t does it it is some really, REALLY tough stuff!
They have magnacut now
It’s a shame they reduced the handle size of the ferro rod on yours. Mine came with a much bigger micarta handle and I feel it would be way easier to grip on to. Nevertheless, that does not detract from the great fit and finish of the knife out of factory.
I thought so- but im not worried because ill put my exotac in this one after i use up the current one :-)
Hi Jacob, hope you and your family are keeping safe mate. Loved the war face, sorry smile at the start!
I can see myself hooking and doing gosh knows what to my pinky finger with the circle on the pommel, but I'm a bit "special" that way, I once cut myself grabbing a butternut pumpkin ( the pumpkin was what cut me, go figure.....)
Anyway, I've a complaint about the channel also! You've never once taken a comb out of your back pocket, and used it from front to back as Fonzie did in Happy Days.....
Jeeze some folks have too much time on their hands. Its a knife review not a casting call!
Oooops, forgot! Have a blessed day mate
Nice
Good for skinning?
Saw this on a website and I knew I had to have it so I'm out here looking at reviews before I drop the money
Its definately a winner!
The FC4 & 5 are so cool looking , spendy boogers but the detail and quality is very nice. $240 yikes but its worth it I think they do much more than other well known makers.
I agree!
I have FC7 of that BarkRiver Blade excellent blade. Top Customer Service too. I really wish you would review the TRC Apocalypse Knife with Elmax blade made in Russia! It's my favorite survival knife of all time. Then I would say my Esee Junglas comes in right under that. But totally different knives and different price range too.
Just to clarify, the firecraft series is made by white river, not bark river.
I cant review them all bud, but i would like to!
@@Thepreppersbunkeroutdoors WhiteRiver that's right my Bad I have both name brands I got them mixed up in my head sorry I'm get old. Lol
Haha its all good!
And to clarify the TRC knives are made in Lithuania not Russia.
@@dickcurrey21 Hey Dick, Lithuania was a part of Russia back in the day.
here is my short term revue - these are available in Canada but for the same price i can buy 4 rat 7 knives or an esse junglas plus 2 rat 7s
sorry but wow those are expensive here
Thats a shame :/
Do you still like this knife?
Love it!
Wuts up, bro
Can it be used as a throwing knife?
Any knife can be used as a throwing knife.
Should it be?
No.
Even though this looks similar to an anime kunai, it is not a suitable thrower. Its too small and light combined with the broad geometry of the tip, it will not throw/stick well. Also it has a fairly fine edge, that would easily be chipped from throwing.
Ok new complaint. You smile too much.
The handle looks to be too slim.
I guess that depends on your hands and how you use a knife, but i dont think in hand many people will feel that way.
@@Thepreppersbunkeroutdoors thanks for the reply.
