Great advice on a return, been using something like this for the last year, forces my opponents to often hit into the net or pop the ball up. Thanks for reinforcing good habits like a few feet behind the baseline on a serve, and to let the paddle do the work, not my wrist. Probably why my slices are more inconsistent than I'd like!
I use slice a lot on my backhand side and it really messes up who I am playing against. I have only played Pickleball for 2 mos and absolutely love it. My background is tennis. I love it. Using the continental grip will help take your game to the next level. It may feel awkward at first but you get used to it. I noticed an major improvement just this week especially on kitchen area exchanges.
Nice tips & demonstrations. I use the slice return a lot on both forehand and back hand & it is good to see someone really good at it and the little techniques that make it work. I think it is good to mix up slices & drives as the more the opponent has to think about MY ball...the less time he has to think about the 3rd shot drop and execute. Thank you.
Simone you mentioned the western grip, being new in PB may be one of your videos can be the different types of grips to utilize when you are playing? Can you use Dekel's return when playing against better players that have a really fast serve coming at you? Thanks and another good video.
