Getting into pickleball after playing tennis and love this misdirection concept. Seems like one of those that you don't want to over-use, otherwise you lose that element of surprise. But great to have for just the right moment, when you need it.
Could you make a video on your top paddle recommendations for intermediate/advanced players? I've never seen a quality, definitive guide anywhere. Thanks!
This was a great instruction on misdirection. I loved Simone's tip about the pinky - that really helped me make the correct movement to make it work! Thanks so much. It was uplifting to see Joey and Simone working with the youth/juniors of the sport. Our grandson is 8 and he has really taken to pickleball. Do you have suggestions for us on how to help him (we live in Kamloops, BC). Right now, we watch your videos and try to practice those things with him as you are the best coach and player.
Aloha, Can you film in slow motion as the ball makes contact with his paddle and then when he returns the ball off of his paddle. It is too difficult to see proportionately how the ball is supposed to make contact as well as leave his paddle when hitting the inside out stroke. Mahalo🏝

Would have been better to have the instructor play the shot and then have the young guy try it. Hard to follow what was required
From what I watched, it's just a matter of changing paddle direction at the last second while your body, eyes, and paddle imply the other direction.
