Quite the adventure with this one. It's gotta feel good to get it done though. That Sears catalog reference was GOLD. Talk about bring back memories. Lol. Great job, Dan. Looking forward to your next video.
That's what friends are for(even if this was a big job), plus he is the best camp chef ever! He feeds my whole family all weekend when we go to badlands haha. Fair trade indeed
@@wrm3016 Thanks Randy! My old instructor gave me this sound advice: Half the battle is a steady hand, drink less coffee & eat more p**sy!😄😄 not sure how the second part helps with the shakes but…. It’s for science right?
Does your welding table in the background have a wood top underneath the metal top ? If so , welding doesn’t get it too hot . (I’m getting ideas to build one)

haha yeah it was a little bit of a chore. I did this all over a month ago, been way behind on editing
This is the good stuff! Love to see and learn from these axle/gear/welding vids! ( but honestly the frog was one of my favorites! )
I was just thinking about Phillip and how he is adjusting to the colder temps...😄
Great video!
You’re a good friend to help your buddy.

Those gears fought the whole way... lol. The next one will be a one shot-er
@@DaddyJeepGarage they were never that far off but just far enough that I wasn’t happy with it lol
Very nice content! Quick question: Did you use any special welding wire to weld over the axle pumpkin? Or is heating just enough? Thanks!
@@ArvizuDesignFab regular mig wire er70s-6
The heat is the important part, and having something fireproof to wrap it in to slow the cooling process
@@FlawedOffroad Awesome! Planning on doing a 3 link conversion and I had that doubt
Thank you!!

No its just 1/2" thick steel top. I rarely have it cleaned off enough to even weld on it......Need a bigger shop.
Potato welds, HA!!
Potatoes are god tier so I'm not sure why I used that to describe them. Im not sure why I say half the stuff I do if we're being real
Man, that was easy!!😂 It’s way better doing it on your back under the Jeep!
Is this a 44?
