      Please, two things:
      1) Say more. What exactly changed?
      2) Take the credit. If I said something that helped, you were the one who took the action.
And we'd all benefit from knowing more about what was said that helped and the actions you took.
Thanks in advance for sharing if you're able to do so.

when I started playing 15 second chess, I realised that despite having played 1 minute chess, I was going to be initially way too slow. I reasoned it was like a submarine rising to the surface. With practice the speed would gradually improve and at that point I would start winning games. For that reason, it didn't phase me that I lost the first 132 games. Basically as a total beginner aim for 1 move a second (15 moves).. then get to 30, then 45. It's a little bit analogous to learning to walk. You don't start by trying to win races. In the same way to move an avatar quickly requires that initial practice. When you're starting out you see a position but it takes you time to formulate what you should do next, but after a while that happens less because you have seen similar situations before. Although many might say it's not 'real' chess, I think it's a terrific way of getting a feel for the game and learning many of the basic patterns. I've played over quarter of a million games. : )

(example of conscious incompetence, and how the awareness of, .. enabled progress, where otherwise 132 losses in a row could easily have been discouraging.)

Fantastic example and powerful thought model. We could definitely use more wisdom and stick-to-it-iveness like this.
      Many thanks!

@@magneticmemorymethodpodcast actually I saw another example yesterday. In youtube video "How to be a Climbing Legend | Alex Megos " ---- at 10:15 he says "I recently learned to accept failure more than I did in the past because I realised that climbing hard is probably more than 99% of the time failing just to succeed one time"

      Another good one.
I also love the one from Nietzsche where he says that you can never adorn yourself enough for your friend - yet you must be an arrow and a longing for the appearance of his highest self.
