This was 3 years ago but there was a much easier way to go about mounting the block… they sell adapters to fit the frame as is. G force makes it i think. I have an ls swapped fox
@@richardripley464 thanks man! I’ve been working on it all week. Didn’t get much done during holidays. Back at it now though. I’ll post an update this week. All I can say is the drivetrain is working perfectly so far
how expensive is it to weld, plasma cut and stuff? mostly electricity wise I mean? I am planning on doing a 4x4 conversion like you've done here except not so juiced up. Mainly just a streetable daily cruiser with a lot of capability for ice, mud, snow and other road conditions that can be handled by my car and not others once this conversion is complete. And also being a manual mustang rather than automatic.
Yeah I saw a screenshot of one awd fox but I couldn’t find any other pics or vids of it. And I came across one other on a 4eyed something forum but it looked like they gave up mid build. I wanted to use readily available parts local to me with just mild fabrication. So far it’s been smoother than expected
I have similar thoughts. Just converting a 89 2wd ranger to awd. 96-01 v8 explorer tcase is mechanical awd the front frame clip gets me a arm ifs with the required drive line 97-03 v6 f150 5 speed gets me drop in manual transmission. And all ford parts. There's a way to. Do it with a t56 but it's very expensive.
I haven’t seen them in person but they look identical to the Taurus ones I used. I sure they could be made to work too. See if a salvage yard would let you take a walk around or if they have any on hand that you can take measurements from. The local yard let me wander around their lot. Helped me figure out what parts I could use
@@James_WTFox I'm actually doing brakes on my third one today haha. I'm waiting to pull in one of these pursuit 3.0 ecoboosts to see if I can make that work in my 91.
@@nate2490 initially I was gonna use the Taurus rotors, calipers and hubs but the next issue I had would of been getting the cv axle to work from the trailblazer. Then I found out the 2000 s10 axles are the same spline as the trailblazer. That’s why I went that route

Your helping me a lot with my coyote awd fox body
Glad I can help. It’s all trial and error here but so far it’s working great. I’ll post up more as I go along.
Thank you one day we could get a race in even tho I won’t b LS
@@robertcryer1190 I’m always game! I just ordered some axles and hubs. Working on an updated video now. I’ll update next week. Merry Christmas too
So happy I found this keep it up looking forward to more!

With that oil pan, why you had to move the motor back
Is the motor far enough back where this is technically now mid-engine?
What old pan with the passthrough are you using?
I’ve been waiting on someone to do this, awesome man, my plans for my other fox someday

thoughts on using a Lincoln aviator for the AWD system and motor and drivetrain under a 1970 Mustang ?

@@4x4Mudmaster definitely, t56 have come way down on price too and there's plenty of used ones by now. That's be a fun ride !!
Trailblazer SS front diff or regular old trailblazer?
Could I do this with a f150 for coyote and use all the f150 drivetrain?
I’m sure it could with enough work
This is what im doing 2018 f150 5.0 4x4 in a 2003 ranger.
What year s10 spindles you using
I’m actually using 2015 ford Taurus spindles that are modified
3bolt spindles ?
What's your thought of using 14-18 explorer front spindles?

Why didn't you use a Ford V8 instead of Ls
Ease of use.
