Still sharp and writing novels at 87. A true legend who still hasn't quit! Much respect.

The first work i read from Soyinka was The Lion and the jewel. It was interesting and i look forward to read some of his other works too.

As if you were never here before,
As if you have forgotten that you were
What we are, but you, self-betrayed
Raise walls of deafness to deflect nice lines …..from Pakistan

Remarkably, after Ake, penkelemesi, set forth at dawn; the biographical works, ( I am leaving out “the man died” ) I had read all these with out much trouble laying my hands on y library copies; it was a huge embarrassment that it took me five years to source a copy of isara “journey around essay”. Eventually I got one through an ‘order’ process from a bookshop in charing cross London along with a copy of fugitive offender by Tony Enahoro. The experience spoke to the death of book publishing in Nigeria that takes literature out of the reach of young people. Sad.

He bares an uncanny resemblance to Bill Cosby.
