Nigerians listening and commenting should learn to respect people's right to have their own views. People on this platform are using abusive language on this living icon simply for speaking his mind. Prof Soyinka, I'm a great admirer of your work. On this occassion, I find your line of criticism against Datti's statement confusing to say the least.
If we find ourselves in a place where LP lose at the tribunal in the face of overwhelming evidence against APC (and it won't be the first time we will witness judicial malpractise) Nigerians will recall why Datti sounded the alarm about Judicial corruption and Nigerians will also recall these enabling criticism of yours sir, with great disappointment.
We all watched and remained calm and followed process while APC unleashed terror both verbal and physical on their opposition, especially LP, Obidatti and their supporters, but yet Datti who boldly called out the corrupt system is the fascist?

Despite the fact that we would love to see the Judiciary resolve the issue in favour of our candidate. It is important to speak with discretion.
The judiciary like all institutions has its flaws and shortcomings. However, you cannot throw mud on the institution even while you need it to resolve an issue for you.
I greatly appreciate Prof Soyinka for coming out clearly to condemn the inflammatory statement by Dhatti Ahmed regarding the swearing-in of the president-elect. Anyone who has been following the prof thoughts for years will realise that you can not buy him to support an unworthy course no matter how you paint it. The problem with certain people or segment of Nigeria is their lack of how democracy works as no amount of rhetoric can get you to Aso rock. We must be willing to accept failure when it comes and planned ahead through an effective collaborative effort. Again thank you Prof Sotinka for coming out to call a spade a spade.

I respect baba Wole alot however I have my reservation about his misgivings in regards to Dati interview. I find it hard to share his thought on this issue. I like the question Ayo asked as to which part of the of the Dati's statement that he actually found inciting. I don't see it, he only expressed the views of millions of Nigerians who feel aggrieved about the stolen mandate. This is a far cry from what happened with Trump in America.

So you don’t find what he said inciting, he said his stand on the constitution is the correct one and no one else and called the Cjn not to swear in a candidate going further to say it will be unconstitutional. Prof. Wole Soyinka is a smart and clever man. He is trying to dodge from the question the lady is asking him about lagos gubernatorial conditions of the outcome. He should know that other people are smart too. They caught you there, Prof.
He later answered and he condemned what needs to be. Like he said, You don't threaten the judiciary even when they are corrupt. We should learn to call out corruption for what they are but not at the expense of the nation's peace.

I would prefer if prof would come to the station live so that he can answer real questions without missing some of the important questions. As well, asked him about the statements of the opposition parties on daily purposes, the likes of FFK, Festus Keyamo, Bayo Ononuga, etc. Justice is best served when it cuts across all people.

It’s a bit about tribe, but mostly about corn. Pa Soyinka (WS) has been corn-promised. Bola Thiefnubu (BT) has been giving WS "agbado" since NADECO days. Soyinka said so himself on video. Completely in agreement with Wole Soyinka. You cannot threaten the Judiciary by dictating what you want to hear from them in your favor . The court would need to obtain a balanced view of both sides of the suit to make decision. Not necessarily that it must favour Obi or Datti even Tinubu. Obi and Datti need to speak in unison instead of one admonishing caution by Obi while Datti spitting more fire to heat up the polity. Obi, Datti, LP and Obidient Movement must speak one voice. That's the point Pro Wole Soyinka is making.

I’ve worked with the elderly and we just need to be a little slower as we speak to them and let them read our lips as we slowly speak. Probably a better tech equipment will be necessary to help others with audiology issues etc. I must commend Ayo and Reuben for their patience and kindness towards an elderly man struggling with his hearing 😊😍🙏🏽💐

Following from Douala in Cameroon. I notice prof is not having a good sense of hearing. He should retire himself and send young people to conferences abroad. The present experience of the justice system in Nigeria requires Civil action or else, Tinubus' government will do worse. The Supreme court must seat up on this or else the Man who said "Go to Court" knows the court to be "A toothless bull dog". Prof has contributed much for the nations and has given Nigeria a good name.
