My own daughter started to question if Jesus is real. She was 7 years old and she asked me on Easter if the Easter bunny was real, and then she asked about Santa. We were truthful to her. Then she got quiet and whispered, “is Jesus real?” My heart literally broke. I looked around thinking what are we doing ?! Fast forward to this year; we celebrate biblical feasts with other families and honor Shabbat. It’s truly been a blessing. I never want to be the one to plant seeds of doubt in my children’ hearts.

When my sons were 2 and 4 I told them them the truth about Christmas, my mom got so mad at me and said "WHAT DID YOU DO THAT FOR??" Mother, I am learning and teaching my boys about Jesus and The Father Who they can't see either and when my boys get older and learns the truth about santa then they will think I lied about God too.

@T T Satan the devil is using all holidays to deceive the people the same way how he deceived Adam and Eve in the Garden Of Eden. Satan wants us to turn against God (Jehovah) our creator.

Exactly. Children much more than adults will make irrational connections between unlike things, so the day they find out Santa and flying reindeer is a lie, is the same day they may regard God in the same (or at least similar) vein ... a lie adults are telling children. And then never investigate the actual Holy Days appointed by God later in life. What a tragedy.

Disciple of Imanuel It is. I am a living example. I was lied to. I then doubted and turned away from Elohim. Thank Yah He called me and I sought the truth. Not many can say that. Most turn away and are agnostic and believe in the satanic jesuit fairytale of nothingism.

My husband and I came to the truth about Christmas when our children were young. We were the only ones in our family neighborhood and even our church who gave up the practice. Both of our children are now grown and have gone back to celebrating it due to pleasing their spouses and not wanting their children to be the odd ball the way they were. It is not an easy road to walk in truth.

I was eight years old when I snuck down the stairs to see my parents putting the presents under the tree. I learned that Santa didn't exist, but I got over that. But what happened because of that, the full and complete trust I had in the two people I loved the most, was broken.
Looking back I see how this has had a sever effect on all relationships in my life. And just today I learned how it has effected my relationship with Elohim. I received a message that Yeshua will help me with this. But I wanted you to know, your message is Very important. Parents cannot lie to their children because it breaks a sacred trust, with long lasting effects. Any lie does this, not just christmas.
(And I too have gave up christmas, back in 2000.)

I was devastated when I realized all of the lies regarding Christmas. I still remember the confrontation with my mother when I very seriously let her know how wicked the effect on me was. She remembered being lied to herself and many times told me about believing she heard reindeer on the roof as a child. Pretty messed up stuff, really.

The 10 horns sat on the head of the Roman republic, to the north like horns on the head of a beast. They were tribes who occupied Europe. The 10 horns got their kingdom with the beast during the Holy Roman empire, for the last hour upon the earth. They have spread out over the earth and became powerful nations. Judah and Benjamin are brothers of the ten horns. We are warned about the Roman religion in Revelation and we are to keep the commandments of God and the faith of Yeshua. Revelation is the last great warning to the 12 tribes of Israel. The religion that calls down holy fire from heaven in a cathedral built by Constantine in Jerusalem, the eastern Roman religion, and marks the forehead from its right hand, the worshiper and administrator of the western Roman religion, is the warning to those living in the Roman principality. Its a warning to us.

We should never lie to our kids.I remember it was such a trauma for me around the age of 7 when my father was telling me some stories and fairy tales from Greek methology and I really believed it of course and took it for real. But my father was just hoping to entertain me with some stodies you know..I asked him if its true even..He said yes it was..)When in few years I found out it was all a lie that was very hard to understand why my father would want to lie to me. That was really traumatizing for a child's heart..because they are trusting so much and believe whatever parents are telling.

I agree 100%! I've been convicted of this a lot this year and I no longer want to celebrate. After celebrating all my life and all of my children's lives, how do I explain this to them? Is there something I can do for them instead? I thought about Hanukkah but I've read that it has pagan roots as well when it comes to the festival of lights. I've read that that was also a pagan tradition to worship the sun god. This is a very touchy subject in my family.

About 10 years ago I had a co-worker ask me why I didn't celebrate Christmas - what was so wrong with it? For me, the lying issue was the most detrimental aspect of the holiday. I told him that I don't tell my children anything that I believe to be untrue. He then went on about how Christmas expands the mind and fires the imagination of the children. My response was that it sets up an idol in those little minds. They set their hearts and hopes on a rollie-pollie false messiah/god figure whom they can see and sit in his lap ever year and ask for "stuff." Not to mention all the other lies that goes with the fairy tale. Once they find out that he is not real, a beloved idol is ripped from their hearts. Now they are once bitten and will be twice shy. Now they will question you as a parent about whether they can really trust your word. You were deceitful about Santa who they could experience - now they will doubt God and His Messiah that are supposedly represented by this lie and Whom they cannot see. Thy myth that is Santa becomes a great stumbling block for many when the truth comes their way at a very basic level of trust.
I was very blessed to have parents that didn't celebrate Christmas by the time I was born (69) and we went to the family's first Feast of Tabernacles (Sukkot) when I was 3 months old. My parents went through many trials as they searched for the faith once delivered and I have been a recipient of such Truth and Grace. It is a Truth that I am hopeful to pass on to my children without the trappings and idolatry that is Christmas.

I would just like to add my personal story here. I know not everybody has the same experience but for me Christmas is probably what led me to Jesus. I didn’t really grow up in a Christian home. My parents didn’t like church because of their own experiences and never took us. Except on Christmas Eve with grandma. When I was little we did the whole Santa Claus thing like everybody else but we also learned about the nativity story and I always loved silent night and hearing about Mary and baby Jesus and the candlelight service. So even though I grew up basically an atheist I always had these warm memories about the Nativity and Jesus. I didn’t hate Christians or really have negative feelings about christianity like most atheists do. As an adult I ended up reading the Bible just out of curiosity and it just grabbed me. So I guess my point is Christmas isn’t all bad. Especially if we try to focus on Jesus.

i grew up as a christian with celebrating Christmas every year, i wanna keep it . what i celebrate & GIVE THANKS is for the God's FIRST COMING (not Jesus/Yeshua BIRTHDAY party) and why i am so excited ,(like prophets in old testament so excited tell us about the Birth/Coming of the Messiah). n since the bible doesn't give us "the time " of birth why dont we take one day to remembering it (in prayers n praise & worship with family & friends & comunnity). n about santa (christmas tree & decoration, Carols)i never told that is REAL, so i'm not shock & doubting my Faith as i getting older ( it's just a tradition story same as bunny & eggs in Easter /Pesakh/Paskah/Passover) but i respect for the Tradition because is about Creativity ( as long as we tell that it's just tradition of man not the Teaching of God ). i live in multi-culture country, here we celebrating it sometime mix with our tradition (but NOT corrupting the meaning)...i don't wanna be a part of worshiping Pagan days & god but i wanna be a part of people who Celebrating something or days or whatever with good meanings in it (i am not woshiping sun god,but i am worshiping God who give sun, moon, earth n everything for us to live)...Did GOD hates me & my family for doing these ??!! and then what ?? you tell me that i can't celebrate New Year eve because it's not even mention in the bible (c'mon !!)..even New Years eve & morning, me n my family go to Church to Give thanks to God.. that is my opinion, sorry for the English(not daily english speaker)... I serve in leadership at our church in what most would consider “high profile” positions, been in these roles a little over a year. Last year I felt convicted about how we had traditionally practiced the holiday but since it was pretty new to me we only had a toned down version. For all the reasons mentioned in this video, this year we have done nothing “Christmas-y” besides occasional Christian Christmas music, making cookies and candy, and planning to give our kids a few gifts. We’ve also told our kids it’s not really Jesus' birthday and that santa is not real, they pretty much came to this conclusion themselves based on conversations about why we weren’t doing what we have in the past. Short of asking several times for a tree they have taken it really well and seem to understand better than most of the adults we have shared it with. I’d rather raise them in the ways of the Lord than compromise to make them feel better or more like everyone else. We have not been vocal in the church about our abstinence but I feel like we should. Nowhere in scripture does it tell us to celebrate His birthday and the roots of this tradition are clearly pagan and schemed by religious organizations to boost attendance and societal involvement. It makes me sick knowing how messed up it is and how everybody just goes right along with the world on it and acts like making it about Jesus makes it okay. I may not be as quiet next year and it makes me a little sad because I’ve enjoyed the fellowship with this church family and feel like they are spot on about most of the rest of their practices. Times are changing, we are waking up to the errors of our ways and we should share them with our brothers and sisters as opposed to letting them go astray. As long as we do it with love and a genuine concern for their relationship with the Lord then I don’t think we’d be wrong in doing it.
But how far do we take it? Do we stop going to the church for that month or all together if they continue to practice this non biblical holiday? Do we not participate or let our kids go to Christmas party’s and programs at the school and church? How much do we share and where do we draw the line in how vocal we are about it? Or do we do like we have this year and follow what we believe God wants us to do, maintaining minimal involvement and if asked share why we are?

But I feel like it is offensive to God and, while He may not be striking people down for celebrating, I still don’t think it honors Him or Jesus to observe as the world does. I will be prayerfully looking for an opportunity to plant the seed with our pastor. Thanks again!

It depends on what you believe as far as when John the Baptist birth was. We know Yahshua was born 6 months latter. John's Dad was Zechariah who was a Leviticus Priest. He had taken time off for his sons birth. By figuring out the Priestly schedule it pin points it at Passover or the Fall Feasts. So either he was born in the fall or the spring and your guess is as good as mine. Both are very possible no one knows for sure it depends on whose Priestly schedule you want to believe. In my opinion both sides have very valid points.

+John Mal a fall birth (at Sukkot) fits a lot more prophetic foreshadowing. John, the type of Elijah, was born at Passover-which fulfilled the Jewish hope of Elijah coming at Passover. Yeshua was born at the beginning of Sukkot, through whom God symbolically dwelt with men.

Jesus/Yeshua was born in the Fall, probably during Sukkot. Luke 1:5 says Zechariah was serving int he temple during the 'duty' of Abijah. 1 Chronicles 24 5-10 says the order of Abijah fell on the eighth order of serving in the temple. The head of the year is the month of Passover(exodus 12:2), and during Passover week all priests served in the temple, then each sabbath after that they would follow the "order" laid out in Chronicles. The eight landed on "Yom Teruah" or Pentecost. This mean John the Baptist father was serving in the temple when Gabriel announced the birth of John. This would put John the Baptist birth at Passover the next year. (9 months from Pentecost). We know Jesus/Yeshua and John were 6 months apart. This would put Jesus/Yeshua birth at the time of Tabernacles, and his conception during Hanukkah. Since he was Light of the world, it makes sense to conceive him during the festival of Dedication and Light. Since he "Tabernacles" among us. It would make sense that he was born during Tabernacles. And since the Hebrew word for Manger is Sukkah, it all falls into place.

There is an ending day of the celebration of Sukkot. It's on the 8th day. I believe it's called the celebration of the Torah when the scrolls are turned back to the book of Genesis: "In the beginning." (Genesis 1:1, John 1:1) Also, His death, burial, and resurrection was during the Spring Feasts. The giving of the Holy Spirit (Ruach HaKodesh) was at Pentecost (Shavuot). That leaves the Fall Feast that has 8 days.

Amen! Another confirmation! YHVH set out the appointed days (feasts) in the beginning. The Christian world will never fully understand the depth of the Bible as long as they continue to think that Yeshua/Jesus nailed the "Feasts" to the "Cross".

So true...not only the feasts...but there are some laws that still apply today...like the un/clean food...what is disturbing is that we christians accept so easily some traditions/doctrines made by man instead of searching the bible for the good doctrines...devils/demons also have doctrines...Peace

I have had to argue this point with my wife for years now. But I slowly told my kids by the age of 5 or 6 it was just s fairytale which they had kinda figured out some on their own from little things like finding wrapping paper in our closets etc.. However we do celebrate Jesus birth and make it known the purpose we are celebrating. No matter what day it is ! We still trade gifts with our kids. . Actually being that hung up on a exact day to celebrate Jesus birth and get together with family that you do not celebrate Jesus birth is a little bit fanatic and then chances are you will not do it in April or any other time either! Jesus was about giving he was a Gift to us all and they gave Jesus gifts also. So yeah if you celebrate it in the pagan way then it's wrong for sure but to use it for the purpose of telling the story of Jesus is a good thing!

I'm so glad you did this video. I almost stopped listening to you because I saw a video where you sort of made it ok to celebrate. I think it was one with you and 2 other guys.
    Thanks for speaking truth
