Steve Vondran, the entertainment and intellectual property lawyer explains the "Motion to Strike" and how to respond to one in a litigation setting. A motion to strike seeks to eliminate any false, irrelevant or improper matters from a pleading, such as a complaint. You will normally see these motions filed with a "Demurrer" (if you are in state court) or a motion to dismiss (if you are in federal court, such as a federal copyright or TILA action).
We hope this is a helpful video for new lawyers or for Clients fighting their cases in pro per or pro se.

There is not a more comforting feeling than an amazing attorney fighting for you in court. The motion to strike is awesome! I loved it when my attorney sternly said, “Strike that, your Honor!” After the opposing council threw out absolute lies. When you have an attorney who takes your case personally, it is money well spent.

I’m here to understand “motion to strike” because Camille, while spanking AH vigorously, used it a few times and maaaan, does it make AH look like a fool. She strike her testimony on donating her divorce settlement which was false and she did a few more which was pretty fucking amazing.

More lawyers should be focused on helping regular people. Nobody can afford $300/hour open ended, especially for these little debt lawsuits which are usually less than $10k. Vondran and Skiba's channels are great.

Hi Jerry. Generally, an Opposition to Motion to Dismiss is what I think you are referring to. The cites would depend on the type of case you are filing. You have to find legal authorities that support your position. That is the GRUNT work lawyers get paid to do. This is probably the hardest part because judges make their decisions based largely upon the "caselaw" and legal precedent. This is the art work of lawyering. Best of luck!!! - Attorney Steve -

If integrity is doing the right thing when no one is looking, then realize now that everyone is looking. Steve, keep looking and if you need a hype guy in your crew, count me in. Note - legal and lawful are separate. Law has no tongue and is without paper. Verified Claim of wrongdoing is supreme. Thanks for clarifying the legal muck
