My husband was listening to this as I happened into the room and only caught the last 10-15 minutes. I was mesmerized because we are going through some lawsuits now. Yes more than one, with the same person. Thank you for putting this on here. I will definitely be watching your others to see what I can glean from them.

Thank you for explaining your style. I agree that the introduction “old school style is old!” l guess l assumed it was proper as pro se. I really like the way you write persuasive sentences and get to the point. It makes the case immediately more relatable and understandable.

The outcome may vary based on the lawyer you ask. Additionally, you might encounter a traditional judge accustomed to that approach.

HOW IS YOUR CASE GOING? I got stuck, pro se, after discovery, now shooting for a summary judgement on causation. My only leg up is that I am a nurse (was) and am able to try the medical facts effectively. (Power of positive thinking). Wish you the best.

good info, I had a head injury at a major event in Orlando Florida on commercial premises in a building soon to be torn, and I was introduced to how poor the communication, confusion and incompetent attorneys are when a case is not cut and dry. particularly premises liability. I do not trust lawyers; licensed liars.

    This was great!
I’m not a lawyer so everything was very informative. It seems as though you’ve taken a lot of time to review your old writings and understand how you can improve your writing. Thanks for including the things that you’ve done different from past to present and why.
    Good stuff! Thank you. 🙏🏽

totally agree that motions, in fact next to all submissions, should be written from the point of view of the substance and merits of YOUR case, not the opponent's. otherwise, like in sports, you're playing according to the playbook and rhythm of the other team. and also you might inadvertently entirely neglect important points in your favor. that includes using your own terminology, avoiding labels and subtle biases e.g. through specific wordings and implied meanings of the other side. it's also important to avoid inadvertently conceding facts and circumstances at the basis of the opponent's arguments, by only superficially focusing on the arguments, if those arguments are actually overtly or implicitly based on flawed foundations.
motions are also, particularly when the case may not be going so well for whatever reason, very important for the appeals stage. motions reasonably not granted could be grounds for appeals, particularly when it's evident that new relevant aspects/materials or arguments are prevented from being introduced into the case.

ChatGPT is very good at drafting motions, but you have to know how it should be done. ChatGPT is very literal and will not provide any more than you ask for.

Excellent analysis. I'm Jeff Cook from 5:18-cv-01436-KK April 2022 Jeff Cook (Pro Se) v San Bernardino sheriff. I sued the sheriff for 4th Amendment violations and had a great filing attorney for the first two years. The SBDA, of course, tried to drag the case out as long as possible, it happened in 2017! If I had filed motions for everything that the DA did that was illegal, the case would never have come to trial. I had a Pretrial determination that specific dash cams from two sheriff vehicles were admissible, but the DA never provided those recordings.

Sue the sheriffs start by sending them cease and desist/demand letter. Sue the actual man or woman in charge of releasing the footage. File a FOIA request.

Thank you for this precise information. I am currently helping my adult son, who has ADHD & PTSD, with his California criminal case as his PD had badly botched his case during pre-trial but not objecting to heresy testimony. His trial date is Feb 2, 2024, I want to learn what we can do to suppress this testimony in an ongoing 3 year case resulting from a false arrest during a simple 'health check'. If you can help please let me know. Thank you kindly.

💯. ALL of the licensed /unbiased attorneys and judges who mentored me explained that only crooks say that because legitimate attorneys appreciate pro se litigators because we help keep the courts honest by stopping corruption and it's not enough attorneys for the amount of people needing to litigate so pro se litigation is required.🥴🍀👩🏾‍⚖️

    Motions can be struck down!
Try (Affidavit) because, if it is not rebutted, then it stands as law!
But be in your proper person. ALL CAPS NAME is not the way to spell; ALL CAPS is improper English.
Never hire a lawyer, they do not uphold the Constitution!
Read: GENERAL CIVIL ORDERS of July 4, 2014; & CIVIL ORDERS June 10, 2014.
