I'm American and they are my favorite band ...it was like finding a unicorn when I heard the OLP song "Ballad Of A Poet" ... then it was wonderful marathon adventure from that point on right up to the "Long Time Running documentary" where it was became one of the best most inspiringly profound story finds ever... I was not just blown away at Gord and the band but more the fact I did not know the story of this alternate reality, the equivalent of knowing about The Tragically and not not knowing is like looking at a canyon and not knowing there's a bigger one above you.. glad I found them. So many great things from Canada but y'all have something very rare and monumental there. It should be known by the entire world .. but the true power to unite is not quite trending these days. Magic is when a thing changes your perspective in such a profound way it changes the way you live your life. The Tragically Hip and Gord we're true magicians. To all Canadians and hip fans I'm forever sorry for your loss from an American..very much in the know and a collector of all things of rare importance especially those anomalies which are placed away from the spotlight ... Thanks for the tutorial, I'm gonna learn this one definitely! The song had a HUGE resurrection when the TV show "Glee" covered it on one of their first episodes. Same thing happened to "Master of Puppets" on the show "Stranger Things". Too funny how the younger generation is finding out what we already know, how good "older" music is.
