Watched it live in an arena in Koh Phangan Thailand it was a fantastic experience. Would highly recommended attending an event to anyone visiting Thailand.
The first time I trained in muay Thai was in Bangkok across from ABAC campus. There was a huge park that had running tracks, stadium and playing fields. It had a weight room, taught gymnastics, or even badmittion (sp?) if that was your preference. But of the few that trained in muay Thai, in Bangkok, they were a very small few. It's popular over there but few want to face the day to day training that leaves one perennially bruised and always in varying degrees of exhaustion. In that park area, there would be hundreds of guys playing soccer, but the muay Thai section pretty much had the smallest population with maybe a couple dozen training in mauy Thai. It's not huge because mauy Thai is pain and it makes people realize how few want to face that much punishment. You cannot compare boxing with muay Thai either. One of my instructors, Kru Dahn said that when he had a (12 round) boxing match, he'd go out to dinner with friends after. But he said after a (5 rounds) muay Thai match, he could only go home and go to bed where'd stay for a day or two. Muay Thai is pain.

Muay Thai is the bestt. I love watching the Wai Kru and the music they play in the background. Something about it feels really spiritual, Not just messing someone up. It like a reflection of their appreciation and respect / dedication towards the sport and the training process
Lethwei has been my fav for years Dave is a Canadian beast.

Imagine preparing for a MMA match and your opponent practiced muay thai and they blast your knees out with one kick.
Watched it live in an arena in Koh Phangan Thailand it was a fantastic experience. Would highly recommended attending an event to anyone visiting Thailand.
Bro I watched it live in Thailand. Sat front row. It was unreal
One championship is bringing it a global audience now
Time for Netflix to Muay Thai the F1 treatment.
Been saying this for YEARS
*Rodtang sounds intensify*
Tony Jaa introduced me to Muay Thai growing up. I wish the martial arts was more popular
not enough trash talking just pure fighting.
San shou is probably the most underrated stand up martial art in the world next to karate
I watched that kick (you all know the one) like a thousand times in a row…
Fuck yeah, real question !
