We should have it along with the heating attachments by Saturday! Thank you for sharing! It has really helped, I also have seen some other techniques for putting multiple folds by gathering the shirts and spraying them>. it is another great way to bleach. I cant believe all the techniques I am learning before I get the machine. Thank YOU AGAIN FOR YOUR KINDNESS.

    • @EmmasCottage

      I spray it outside to slow down the bleaching process. I spray it inside after I press if the shirt shows any yellowing/scorching after I press.

  • @KathyWolf
    @KathyWolf 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    This is the best process I have seen so far. What is the peroxide for? I have not seen anyone use that before. Thanks for sharing your expertise.

    • @EmmasCottage
      @EmmasCottage  3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Peroxide has two uses in this process. 1) it stops the bleach process, meaning if you have one spot that is finished but other parts that are still bleaching but you don’t want a hole in that one spot, you can spray peroxide on that one spot to make it stop or slow it down so the other parts can catch up. Keep in mind, less is more, if you use too much it can actually make your bleach bleed. 2) after you press the shirt, sometimes it can leave a “scorch” mark. Basically, it looks slightly brown and burnt. If you spray a little peroxide on that part and use the heat from your heat press to help it evaporate the scorch marks disappear.

    • @EmmasCottage
      @EmmasCottage  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      My favorite brand is Gilden 64000 in Heather. All the Heather colors are 65% polyester and 35% cotton. You typically want 50% or higher for the sublimation portion and you want 50% or less of cotton anytime you bleach. If your cotton count is too high that is when you’re going to see rips in your shirt from the bleach over bleaching it.

    • @EmmasCottage
      @EmmasCottage  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Also, I haven’t sublimated on shorts but I’m sure you can. You’ll just need to make sure they are at least 50% Polyester and a lighter color for it to work.

    • @EmmasCottage

      I only spray peroxide if I need the bleaching process to slow down on one shirt if I’m working on others that may be falling behind. • @EmmasCottage
      @EmmasCottage  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I typically always used Gilden 64000 in the Heather Colors. I believe the grey one you are referring to is actually Heather Navy, they turn out very grey once bleached. These shirts are 65% Poly / 35% Cotton which is perfect for bleaching!
      When bleaching you want to make sure you have a lower cotton count. They higher the cotton the more chance of getting holes in your shirt.
