    You are the most kind hearted young lady. I hope to see more of your videos. I have just purchased the Silhouette Pro 24" to do some creative things with my grand daughter. We should have it along with the heating attachments by Saturday! Thank you for sharing! It has really helped, I also have seen some other techniques for putting multiple folds by gathering the shirts and spraying them>. it is another great way to bleach. I cant believe all the techniques I am learning before I get the machine. Thank YOU AGAIN FOR YOUR KINDNESS.

    This is the best process I have seen so far. What is the peroxide for? I have not seen anyone use that before. Thanks for sharing your expertise.

    • @EmmasCottage
      @EmmasCottage  3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Peroxide has two uses in this process. 1) it stops the bleach process, meaning if you have one spot that is finished but other parts that are still bleaching but you don’t want a hole in that one spot, you can spray peroxide on that one spot to make it stop or slow it down so the other parts can catch up. Keep in mind, less is more, if you use too much it can actually make your bleach bleed. 2) after you press the shirt, sometimes it can leave a “scorch” mark. Basically, it looks slightly brown and burnt. If you spray a little peroxide on that part and use the heat from your heat press to help it evaporate the scorch marks disappear.

      @@EmmasCottage any certain brand or type we need to use, fabulous video I am a beginner this is amazing, cant wait to do a shirt , also do you know of any type of shorts that one can use to sublimate with

    • @EmmasCottage
      @EmmasCottage  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      My favorite brand is Gilden 64000 in Heather. All the Heather colors are 65% polyester and 35% cotton. You typically want 50% or higher for the sublimation portion and you want 50% or less of cotton anytime you bleach. If your cotton count is too high that is when you’re going to see rips in your shirt from the bleach over bleaching it.

    • @EmmasCottage
      @EmmasCottage  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Also, I haven’t sublimated on shorts but I’m sure you can. You’ll just need to make sure they are at least 50% Polyester and a lighter color for it to work.

      I spray after I press if the shirt looks Scorched, yellowed, from the heat. The Hydrogen Peroxide removes the yellowing.

    Do you use straight bleach? How long do you let the bleach process? Do you rinse the bleach off first or use hydrogen peroxide before washing? If so, do you let them dry before washing? Lastly, do you wash them all together? Thank you!

    • @EmmasCottage
      @EmmasCottage  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I use straight bleach most of the time. I leave the bleach on as long as needed to get the color I want. I rinse the bleach off and hand wash with dawn dish soap, rinse, then throw in them all in the cold wash together. I have many more tutorials, keep watching, you will find the answers to most of your questions.

      Thank you so much Rachel! Here is a link for the Gilden Shirts www.jiffyshirts.com/gildan-G640.html?ac=Heather+Military+Green. There are lots of different websites that I monitor daily as they are always out of stock! Yes, I used the "s.e.i. TIE DYE" spray on the unicorn shirt. I use the marble technique to get that look, just like how I do the bleach.

      I have an Epson 15000 and Epson 2760. I recommend Cosmo's ink. I use Gildens Pitch Black Mist for bleaching a dark shirt but it is only 40% poly so you'll want to use WanderSubli to help apply a sublimation image.
