I had a OnePlus 6 for 5.5 years (i.e, from September 2018 to February 2024) until its dead b'coz of the motherboard issues, that too after replacing the only battery in a year ago in an Authorised OnePlus service centre. The short story of my OP6 problems & issues begins in February 2023, before that it was a rock-solid performance smartphone I had. The battery draining was crazy & the battery life was terrible. I used to get only 3 to 4 hours of SoT (instead of 6 to 7 hours of SoT without any heavy graphic intense gamung). So, I replaced the battery in Feb. 2023 in an authorised OnePlus service centre. Later on, in Sept. 2023 I had visited the same centre b'coz of the phone's motherboard issue. The service technician flashed the op6 device & made it to work as normal. Then comes the final stage for that phone to die (just like cancer disease). I decided to take it to another service centre, but this time it was an Exclusive OnePlus service centre. The crazy & lazy technician told me that the op6 motherboard would cost around ₹ 21,000 (but the official oneplus support website showed for ₹ 16,000), I had to argue with the technician and its manager for price gap of 5k. Finally, the craziest smartphone service technician replied either you can have a new motherboard for 21K or else buy a new Nord 2 lite 5G for the damn price. What dumbest people does OnePlus have ?! It's stupidly crazy. Now, it's lying in my closet drawer in its official box. Just like the infamous Poco X3 pro motherboard issues, the poco started to give a 2 years warranty to its next series of phones. I think every mid-range & flagship phones (except the entry level) of all brands should give 2 years of warranty. This is my raw & frank opinion.
They are providing free replacement even for 6 series regarding Display issue, hope they does the same for motherboard issue too as it is coming major & major.

My phone never fell or dropped and neither did it get exposed to water. Wonder why my phone died without any indications. I now have trust issues on ONEPLUS
When you are spending over 40k ... You should always buy from reputed brands like apple, Samsung + you should never update your phone as soon as update appears on your phone... Always wait for reviews of the software on the forum or community or on Twitter... I never updated my phone since I bought in 2023 ... Running smooth as new till now 🎉❤

Maybe it the backlash started since colour os update in OP phone's. OnePlus just got sucked in the tsunami of hate. The green line issue was on the Samsung as well, and at a pretty big level.
My first system - P3 500MHz, 128MB SD RAM, 10GB HDD Generic PS2 mouse and keyboard 14" CRT monitor.. The first time I saw it, I was afraid to touch the on button on the CPU. Simpler times.
I've had Trust in OnePlus because of my sister's primary Device OnePlus 5T is Still working Smooth asf But things like this and then my big sister's OnePlus 7 pro also had green lines issue recently and it died 1-2 days after Green line Now my Trust on OnePlus is like 70-30 Ratio!!!
I'm still using Realme GT Neo 3 and it's running hard and fast and animation is much smoother now.. I've hadn't had any problem using almost for 2 years now i wish they get Android 15 so i can use for another year or 2..

QA team might be responsible but I think there is something more.... all these hardware dead issues are happening only with phone having Samsung fabricated SD 888 and SD 8Gen 1....
