    This recipe is so wonderful as a cake filling, on granola, on toast, on ice cream and so much more. What will you try this with!

      @@RoxStarBakes A few weeks ago I bought two jars, one of lemon curd which was nice and one of lime curd which was something else, it's addictive...💖

      @@RoxStarBakes I used this recipe to make a combination of blood orange and lemon curd for some homemade citrus bars and they were delicious! I am lactose intolerant and I subbed out everything cup for cup with a dairy free substitute and had no issues at all! Thanks for this!

    Can we add gel food coloring to make the lime curd green?

    • @RoxStarBakes
      @RoxStarBakes  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yes! I definitely recommend gel food paste if you’re adding color. I really like the Americolor electric green. I made Kermit macarons (for my Instagram) and did this and the curd tastes no different and looks great. Thanks for watching!

    Have you ever tried this but simmering the grapefruit juice first to concentrate the flavour? I see it in other recipes a lot but I worry it will take away the bright fresh flavour and give too much of a cooked flavour =/

    • @RoxStarBakes
      @RoxStarBakes  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You won’t love any of the brightness or sharpness from creating a concentrate first (:

    • @MarsellaFyngold
      @MarsellaFyngold 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@RoxStarBakes see, that's what I thought!!! Some recipes say it makes the flavour more concentrated but I thought it would probably dull the bright, tartness that makes citrus citrusy.
