Good video bro. I price based on Accessibility. If you only have two windows but they are 30ft up with an awning below them and I can't reach them with a WFP and I have to rent a JEG Lift, that's def not the price of 2 ground level windows.
Service Industry Coach nice job dude that's how I price my stuff window count per panel then up the price if I have to use ladders or drop the price if is ground level!!
Steve Wish that's the going rate here where we are. And those are the prices we need to hit our $80-100 per crew hour. Believe it or not we are actually more expensive than most companies local to us. I'd love to be able to charge a lot more :)
Steve Wish once you get big enough you'll find out from your customers. We quote against other companies all the time. But sometimes you have to call them pretending you need their service. Have them quote a relatives house.
i don't know what part of the country you guys are from when you say that his pricing of 100 an hour is too low. The name of the game when trying to build a long term successful window business is repeat business. This means instead of 1 offs that never call back or are overpriced you make great money over and over on those customers. If you find your receivables all over and up real high then down the next month you may be making pricing errors. there is a price that your market will bear and if you get too far outside you will have some big days but will not sustain great income over the long haul. He is exactly correct when he says use the window count as a base line then consider the other factors. adjust accordingly. I work the small jobs and i have jobs that make us $2800 in a day , but they are priced on target. When your new you will know if your too low because you will win all the bids. You will later know when your too high because no one calls you back a second time! Think it through and pay attention to the feedback and you will find the sweet spot! That's a good video Matt.
Storm Group Roofing every market is different. We are actually one of the more expensive companies in town but I would agree we still have a little room to move. Going to increase 2018 around 10-15%
corey spencer our window cleaning crew hour (2 guys) is $80-100 an hr. Our gutter cleaning is double that. It's all about averages. We pay our guys anywhere from $10-17 an hr
Hey Matt great video, for clarification 1 window unit containing 2 panes of glass only is $6 in/out?
Steve the Window Cleaner depends. Again, bigger windows count as two. Smaller as one. And then I base it on how much time it will take
Service Industry Coach Thanks for the response Matt have great Memorial day weekend!
Did I hear you right when you said that 40 window job was too small for you guys?...nice info, thanks for the video

I know you are very successful, but I was wondering why your prices seem so low?

Service Industry Coach can you give me an idea how you find out competitors pricing? I am having no luck with that.

Your prices are way too low man, you are selling on the price not value. You need a better sales system but great video and explanation!
