The best advice this boomer can give to a young Mom is to not start encouraging or allowing the practice of grazing and non stop snacking thing with your kids. Offer one snack in the morning and one in the afternoon. Make it a piece of fruit or veggies/dip or a piece of cheese. Stay away from buying boxed, prepackaged snacks. They are nothing but junk. Honestly, if they dont want one of those 3 things as a snack then they are not truly hungry. Also, unless you children have Autism, dont start making 3 different things for dinner every night either, nor feeding them mac & cheese and chicken nuggets for every meal because its quick and easier or "all they will eat". Its all they will eat because that is all you give them.

Great advice and tips! I’ve thought very similar things about snacks and boxed items. Sometimes I’ll do it if we’re in a hurry or the item is on sale, but by and large prepackaged stuff is so much more expensive. And yes, our boys eat what we eat! Thanks for sharing!

Thanks for sharing your tips. One way to save at the grocery store is to buy clearance fruits & vegetables, they usually come bagged by the store. A great price for a bulk quantity. My son and hubby like to make smoothies, so slightly bruised or overly ripe fruits & veggues are great for that purpose. Extra items in the bag, like onions or other vegetables get diced up and stored in individual baggies in the freezer for cooking.
Also, I almost never buy name brand food items. The generic or store brand is usually just as good and sometimes better. When you read the side label you will see they often don't have as many chemicals, salt or sugar as the name brand does.

Thank you for these tips! I will definitely keep them in mind when I go on my next shopping trip. 😀 I had another woman mention shopping on Fridays bc the stores do clearance items more on that day. Perhaps I can make a trip this Friday to check out clearance produce and such!!

I loved all your money savings tips and sharing your site with my daughter who is a stay at home Mom of twin girls and a boy. One tip that I did several years ago was to not buy bottled water or and beverages except juice. I have a water pitcher with a filter that I change once a month. So, that takes the place of bottled water and I gave up soda completely. It is much healthier to drink water and after a few weeks I didn’t miss soda. I look forward to your next video!

The beauty section doesn't apply as I do not buy any makeup or get facials and manicures or pedicures.
I listen to many frugal Ytubes and notice a lot of repetition. Looking forward to hearing different tips.

Try seeing what’s on sale then make your meal plan from what is on sale.

Yes, I wish I would have included this tip in my video! Or sometimes if a certain meat is on sale, I’ll bulk up on it and then plan future meals from there. Thanks for sharing!! ☺️
