The garden has exploded indeed. The color and texture is so lovely. Seeing the different colors of calendula has me wanting to add more next year lol. I hope you continue to take care of yourself! Praying for you. God Bless You.

Hello my sweet friend. And yes, that is exactly what I think of you as... my friend... My wonderful friend who shows me that even doing just a little is enough. I cannot tell you how you have impacted my life for the better. I look forward to your videos all the time... I need to thank you for your steadfastness. Knowing there will be a video about something we both love to do and learn about really starts my day off on the right foot. No matter what is going on, I have learned to take the few moments to watch your videos because I know they will inspire me to do just 5 more minutes.... and then stop and take a well deserved break. I do not get mad at myself for not being enough any more. I thank you for this gift. We are of different faiths, but the core is similar. I honestly think of you as a sister.
Thank you. I will always have your 6 and anyone that asks me about you, I am thrilled to speak of your achievements, goals and good deeds.
Hugs from Esquimalt... Now to watch todays video. Oh and I am lucky number 12.

A trick I've learned with carrot harvest is push them down before pulling up. Doesn't always work but most of the time it does. I think it depends on how compact the soil is.
Also it amazes me how often a lot of people seem to get sick. For the last 20 or so years I have been pretty much solo, being so far away from people on my land means few people are around within a few miles from me and only a few trips into town a year doesn't help much either. I don't get more than just a little stuffy nose during the winter but it doesn't get worse than that, yet I'm always seeing on TH-cam people getting sick often and I feel bad for you guys and gals. I hope you get to feeling better fast, both you and your family and glad that your medical issues are clearing up or have been gotten under control. I'm looking forward to the preservation videos that will be coming and hope your good and healthy so you can make many videos for us.

The garden is looking fantastic. Seeing the Rosselle plant reminds me of making jam and jelly (jello) with my grandmother as a young girl. She had 5 bushes growing in the front garden here in Queensland Australia they were about 22 years old when she sold the house that she had lived in for 30 years. She used too prune them down in autumn and place a large black plastic garden pot with drainage holes around sides of the base upside down over them to protect from frost in winter.

I cold stratified my parsnip seed from Bakers Creek and put them out the earliest possible in the spring and I actually got okay germination. That’s the best I can ask for because I don’t have great success either. I’m glad you’re feeling better 😀

If you want to see more of the adult butterflies then you need to plant their host plants and let them lay their eggs on them. They only eat their host plants and it's hard to watch them eat it, I know. I would always grow host plants at the back and replace when gone or protect the plants to allow them to grow back before setting the plants back outside.

Kelsey, I'm from the UK and my husband and I have just taken on an allotment. I really like how you use what look like cattle panels to make an archway for growing. Can I ask what gauge wire it is, and was it easy to bend into an arch shape. Bless you, thanks x
