  • I spent a few days travelling around Catalonia in Spain, exploring a few off the beaten track places that were only a couple of hours drive away from Barcelona.
    Some of the activities included were hiking to caves and waterfalls in the Mountains of Prades; kayaking in the reservoir of Siurana; tasting premium wines of Perinet; doing a Via Ferrada rock climb at La Morera de Monstant; crawling into the caves at L'Espluga de Francoli and having loads of fun at Port Adventura theme park.

    Karl! You don't know how lucky you were! As a Catalan climber I can tell you that, although Joan, the guide during the "via Ferrata", spoke no English, he is one of the best guides I know in the region! Hope you enjoyed and had a lovely time in Catalonia!

    • @andercervelleradominguez8740
      @andercervelleradominguez8740 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@pyellin421 it is durable. You don't need a strong physique to get to the top, just don't be afraid of hights. Nevertheless, I would recommend you go with someone who is experienced in these types of terrains. If you find a good guide, you will have a much better experience! We call these type of climbs, where you can find metal ladders to help yourself up the roc, "Via Ferrata". Google, "guide via ferrata morera de Montsant", and you should find something ;)

    Karl that cliff climb would scare the shit out of me, I could never do that in a million years. I don't care how fabulous the view must be from the top of the cliff, I could live without ever seeing it if that were the only way up. You have the b-lls I could never have to do such a climb. Catalonia looks great and full of adventures. Been to Barcelona about 7 times, but never managed to venture out into the country. Glad you doing Vietnam soon - just spent a month there which was awesome. It will be fun to look at the places I've just been again. The best way to see it is on a motorbike - lots of people do it, but as International driving permit is not valid in Vietnam, you would have to bribe cops along the way (not difficult in Vietnam) heheh. In my opinion, the most scenic country in South East Asia, though people unlike elsewhere in the region come across as abrupt or downright rude (not all obviously, but a lot). Enjoy it.

      Thanks. Gonna do bits and pieces on a bike (eg Ha Giang loop) but not the whole country

      Ha Giang loop was one of the places I missed and my biggest regret on Vietnam trip. Oh well, I will see it on your channel :)This is what my Vietnam itinerary looked like: Saigon, Mui Ne, Dalat, Nha Thrang, Hoi An, Danang, Hue, Ninh Binh, Hanoi, Halong Bay and Sapa.

    Hi Karl, if you come to Viet Nam, I highly recommend Ta Nang Phan Dung trekking - one of the best treks in my country. By the way, I love Catalonia tho I have never been there 😂

    Paid or not, this video absolutely makes me want to check out Catalonia. Seems I'm a bit late watching it (Nov. 2019!) but I will put Catalonia on my travel list (nearly a year and a half after this aired hahaha). I definitely want to check out the climbing there. Best line: "Would I do it again? Fuck no!" :D

    Gotta say other than the charming company it didn’t look fun . Probably due to the scheduling in a short timeframe, however I enjoyed it I will always choose a great vlog over a TV show any day.

    Hey Karl, you wanna tell me what camera you used? I assume a camcorder or so. You don't seem like the guy bringing a DSLR and a massive gimbal onto your trip 😂

      Yep I'd just bought the Osmo Action, but I'd gotten used to saying GoPro (it's quicker to say too) ;)

    Pushups and pullups everyday will fix that weakness. Growing up I was always told if a man can't haul your bodyweight plus 25% you are weak. Turned out to be true and bodyweight exercises can really make ANYONE strong and fast. Your body and a backpack are all the gym equipment you need.
